Unser Strandhaus bietet das Beste aus beiden Welten: Quiet Nordende Nachbarschaft und ganz in der Nähe schöner Strand Meer und berühmten Promenade! Sie können zu Fuß und / oder mit dem Fahrrad überall in der Stadt von hier.

Das Haus hat schöne Küsten Bilder im gesamten Gebäude. Ein bequemes, übergroßes Sofa (auf dem man wunderbar schlafen kann), ein übergroßer Stuhl und zwei Wipp- / Liegesessel befinden sich im Wohnzimmer, das auch über einen elektrischen Kamin und einen 40-Zoll-Flachbild-TV mit DVD verfügt. WiFi im gesamten Gebäude. Der Esstisch für 8, und die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Alle Betten verfügen über bequeme Matratzen und Bettwäsche sowie einen zusätzlichen Schlafbereich im Familienzimmer mit einem Queen-Hide-a-Bett mit Bettwäsche und zwei Schlafmatten für bis zu 9 Personen. Hauswirtschaftsraum, Spiele, Bücher und Filme sind für die Gäste zur Verfügung. Das Familienzimmer verfügt über eine Ledercouch, bequeme Stühle, einen Flachbild-TV, einen elektrischen Kamin, eine Tischtennisplatte und eine magnetische Dartscheibe.

Zum Lieferumfang gehören unter anderem die "Clam Gun" für diese speziellen Ebbe-Geräte sowie Krabben und ein Krabbenkocher. Unser Ferienhaus liegt drei Blocks von der einfachste Ort, um die 12th Avenue Brücke crab-. Legen Sie einfach Ihre Töpfe, gehen Sie zurück in das Haus zu entspannen und zu Fuß zurück ein paar Stunden später für Ihr Abendessen! Es gibt auch ein Weber Grill und persönliche Feuerstelle im Freien in der privaten eingezäunten Vorgarten. Brennholz geliefert! Es gibt sogar ein Spielhaus für die Kinder! Es gibt Liegestühle, eine Stranddecke für den Sand, damit Sie sich am Strand wohl fühlen, und Plastiksandspielzeug für Kinder, das im Schuppen aufbewahrt wird.

Jeder liebt den Strand in der Sonne, aber auf die Regentage gibt es keinen Mangel an Attraktionen. Neben den Annehmlichkeiten / Aktivitäten an der Hütte, der Stadt am Meer bietet das Aquarium, Galerien, Arcade-Spiele, ein Outlet-Center, ein Kino, ein Erholungszentrum mit zwei beheizten Pools und einer schönen neuen Bibliothek mit Puppentheater für Ihre Kinder . Das Convention Center bietet verschiedene Aktivitäten während des ganzen Jahres.

Multi generational gathering

Host has thought of EVERYTHING and then some. She has maximized space to the fullest inside and out. There are multiple gathering places both inside and out which made it very easy with multi-generations, different sleep schedules, noise levels and entertainment options. Great games and book selections, a kitchen better stocked than mine at home! Silly me brought my instapot! She even remembered we were celebrating birthdays and left balloons for our arrival. Nice welcome basket. Well placed handrails throughout the home, porch and hot tub. Enclosed front yard with a playhouse and toys . This place lacks for NOTHING, very warm and welcoming.

Long weekend in Seaside

Property was as advertised. Lots of space with the extra living area. Outside area with fire pit and hot tub were awesome! Quick walk to the beach and easy access to the boardwalk to walk down to Broadway in Seaside.

Perfect family beach house!

I’ve been coming the Seaside since I was a kid and this was my favorite vacation rental to date. Kathy has thought of everything. The outdoor space was a huge hit with our daughters. They adored the playhouse, loved making smores in the fire pit and looked forward to our evening hot tub soaks. The inside was clean and cozy. We enjoyed movie and game nights almost every night. Beds were comfy too. The short walk to the beach was great. We loved being close the blue mat for easy and quick access to the beach with our small kids. Kathy was very responsive and kind with all our questions and needs. Highly recommend and would love to return!

We stay here every year for Portland to Coast! It has plenty of room, close to the Prom and has a hot tub which is so amazing for our aching bodies after the relay! Kathy is amazing to work with. She is so kind and helpful. We’ll be back next year!

We loved The Cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage while visiting Seaside to compete in the Annual Seaside Beach volleyball tournament! Kathy was very communicative and kind throughout the booking, stay and check out. The house is conveniently located just off the promenade, and a short 10 minute walk to the main roundabout in downtown Seaside. It’s tucked into a quieter residential side of Seaside, which has its benefits when you are recovering from a long day of competitive volleyball and ready for a good night sleep. The hot tub was an added bonus for our recovery - it was clean, hot and large enough for our bigger group to enjoy. Kathy provides everything you need for your stay. We appreciated the thoughtfulness and care she puts into ensuring guests are set up for success - from abundant kitchenware and toiletries, to gear for beach activities and play time at the house. We absolutely loved the ping pong table! 10/10 stars - would absolutely book again. Thanks for a great stay, Kathy!

Fantastic beach house

We loved this wonderful beach house in Seaside! Seaside is a fantastic location, 15 or so minutes from Cannon, Ecola and Indian Beach (our favorite visit at sunset!), but just off the busy “prom” beach trail so lots of privacy and seclusion. Walkable (I highly recommend bringing bikes/e-bikes), it’s about two football-fields walk from the golden sand and gorgeous water and all the sand dollars you can carry! The house itself was perfect for us and our 3 kids - tons of room to spread out, big tv and ping pong in “rec room” allowed us to watch our own movie in the family room every night. All in all perfect, will definitely go back!

A great stay at Cottage by the Sea

This home is just down the block from a trail through the sand dunes to the beach. There is also a short trail that leads to the Promenade (which provides a straight walk to the Seaside Aquarium, about 10 minutes, and downtown, about 12) and a beach bathroom and accessible beach trail. The neighborhood was very quiet for most of our stay. The house has many nice features and thoughtful additions. There is a firepit with plenty of chairs, roasting sticks, lots of wood and kindling, and lighters. The hot tub holds six and was greatly enjoyed by all. There's a nice patio table with an umbrella. There are several little outdoor tables and chairs on decks around the house. One of them came in handy for cleaning clams. We were so excited to get shellfish licenses and use the clamming equipment stored in the shed to get our limit of razor clams down across the river channel! We wished we'd had time to go crabbing at the nearby bridge with the crab traps. The inside had enough comfy beds or hide-a-beds to hold nine of us. Two bathrooms with showers and tubs. Plenty of hot tub towels and bath towels. Plenty of shampoo, etc, and detergents in the kitchen. The kitchen has great appliances and is very well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and also used the nice gas grill outside. There are lots of board games, a ping pong table, a game table, extra sweatshirts in the closets, and a nice ocean decorating theme. I can't think of anything that was lacking! We would love to stay again!

Seaside gem!!!!!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The Cottage by the Sea is absolutely charming and Kathy and Wayne are wonderful hosts. The house is totally stocked and repeatedly we would say, “ I bet Kathy has it”, if we were missing anything and she did!!! It was perfect for our family of three (including a teenager) and my mom. We were also joined by another family friend and her teenaged daughter for part of the trip. More than enough room for all of us! The beds were super comfy and we enjoyed cooking together most evenings. The outdoor space is like an outdoor living room and we took full advantage of it as the weather was perfect! (The hot tub is a great perk!!!) The beach is just a short walk as is the promenade which is so convenient. We absolutely loved our time at the Cottage by the Sea and can’t wait to go back soon!

Loved Cottage by the Sea

Cute cottage, so close to the water. Very close to downtown Seaside. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after our excursions. Recreation and relaxation

Wonderful!

Our family loved our stay here! The owners are very thoughtful and the property is very well appointed. We caught our limit of razor clams at the adjacent beach one day, and caught two keeper crabs off the nearby bridge another day, so our dinners were fresh, local, and delicious!

We were at the Cottage by the Sea for our 38th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. We got to experience the real Pacific Northwest staying in this property. Kathy was wonderful. The home was amazing. The beds were great. The entire experience was fabulous!

Daughter's 50th Birthday

This is a cozy, well stocked beach rental that is just as comfortable as being at home. It has so many fun amenities some of which are the hot tub, smores and hot dogs at the fire pit, table tennis and multiple games. I have never stayed anyplace that provided crabbing and clamming equipment. Plus you are a block from the beach and 2 blocks to the Turnaround. We enjoyed going on the bumper cars as a group. What FUN!! We will definitely return!!

Spring Break Oregon Coast

Everything you would need in cottage by the sea

Two Families shared this house on a visit to seaside for a cheerleading competition. The property was clean and inviting, a lovely beach theme throughout the house. It had lots of places to sleep including a bassinet if needed (we didn't). Lots of extra sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Fans including a boot warmer were available if needed. There were lots of board games and movies and the tvs had basic cable but were set up to hook up to your own subscriptions. Fireplace tv stands were a nice ambiance hanging out in the evening. The kitchen was stocked for all your cooking needs. Outside was cutely decorated with the interior beach theme continued outside. A firepit, table with umbrella, hot tub and a cute play house adorned the privately gated front yard. It rained the whole time so didnt get to enjoy any but a dip in the beautiful hot tub. The house was a few houses down from the beach access and the host had a supply of beach toys (we didnt get a chance to use). The house was about a 15 minute walk to downtown. The host was very communitive with detailed emails and binders in the home on how to access and use everything, including emergency numbers incase anything went wrong during the stay. There was also a gift from the host and a guest book to sign. Overall i would definitely recommend this place to stay at and would love to book it again in the future.

This place is magic

We got this house for a sister gathering for a long weekend. There was enough room for everyone and we love to cook and this kitchen is one of the better stocked places I’ve stayed at. The space is really comfortable and Kathy and Wayne were fabulous communicators and I can’t say enough good about this place. We are returning guests and we would definitely recommend staying here. Making Family Memories!

This HOME was perfect for us! It was incredibly CLEAN, well organized, extremely cozy and so much fun for the kids! My brothers family came to spend time with us from Louisville, KY. This was the first time the kids got to see the Pacific Ocean! And …. They went in!!! We had hot tub time, made s’mores and simply ENJOYED! Thank you so much for this time @ your HOME! We will be back!

Kathy and Wayne (both retired and worked in education (Riverdale, Neakahnie, and Sweet Home School Districts). We were married for 33 years and lived in Lake Oswego OR for 17 years before moving to Woodland WA. Due to Wayne's vision issues, we moved from our 6 acres to LaCenter WA in 2016. Wayne grew up in Pilot Rock (near Pendleton) OR and Kathy grew up in NE Portland OR (David Douglas HS). In blending our families, we were blessed with seven kids (now ages from 43 to 59), grandkids (ages 10 to 37)- and six great grandkids. We have kids and grandkids on the Northern OR coast- Nehalem/ Manzanita area and Cannon Beach- and kids and grandkids in Lake Oswego OR, Hood River OR, Vancouver WA.

When the opportunity to purchase Cottage by the Sea came up, it was perfect timing and the perfect location. Life changes (maturing issues) kept us from traveling as much as we did in the past. We had both lived at the coast year-round and always loved it --yes, even the rain! Seaside offers wonderful amenities for all ages (including medical--important for that maturing thing). It's close, but not too close, to some of our kids. And what a great place to have family and friends come visit and play with us. :)

We have always been active, social people and love the outdoors, walking, fresh air and projects. Between our two homes, we have lots of opportunity for all of those things. We spend time at the coast in between sharing it with people like you. We are thankful and appreciative for the opportunity to do that.

Update: Wayne passed away on April 22, 2024. He was legally blind so I've always handled all things Seaside. He and I decided that I would continue to do this as long as it worked for me.

Having lived on the north Oregon coast in the past, Wayne & I were very familiar and comfortable with the Seaside area. Cottage by the Sea was a recently activated VRBO rental when we purchased it in October 2014. The main cottage was built in the 1920's and used to connect to the yellow house on the corner with another cottage in between and was run as a motel. Around 2008, the Cottage underwent a major remodel with the addition of a garage, laundry room, 3rd bedroom, 2nd full bathroom, and dining room. There were some upgrades that we wanted to do (and did!) to make it 100% comfortable for us and therefore also for you!

Our projects included converting the garage into a wonderful 14x22 fully carpeted, insulated, heated family room; carpeting the living room in the main cottage; adding a new storm door with pull down screen to allow more natural light in living room as well as air circulation when desired; new door and storm door (also with pull-down screen) in dining room; upgraded shower heads; support rails in bathrooms (maturing thing again!); quiet toilet seats (weird- perhaps, but important to us); new concrete walkway to front door and around hot tub; completely fenced in yard and other smaller amenities.

We make sure to keep it updated, stocked and ready for us AND YOU to enjoy. We hope you love it as much as we do!
