The Hobbitt House in South Ogden, UT was perfect for our needs Mon-Thurs nights and was our first time to rent a vacation home. For four days, we paid the daily $89 plus $10 extra person ($99) and a $25 cleaning fee. A $43 ($10.75 daily) service fee to VRBO was added that I hadn't read about. After I reserved it online, we were confirmed 24 minutes later.
It was a one-level, cozy, casual, comfortable, 1400 sq ft, very clean, cottage-style home with 2 bedrooms--1 king, 1 double bed with a strong ladder to a top twin bunk with a strong rail.
The one spacious bathroom had XL thick towels, tub/shower, and washer/dryer.
Kitchen cupboards and drawers had everything we needed (even included some pantry items and many baking ingredients). There was a Keurig coffee machine with coffee k-cups. We bought groceries and ate here every meal. From the kitchen sliding doors, there is a gorgeous view of the mountains.
One length of the house is solid floor-to-ceiling windows in the long dining room, living room, and king bedroom. One day we watched the beautiful snow falling in the wooded back yard. The large solid dining table has 8 chairs. A tray of 5 pillar candles had a remote that made them change colors and was fun during dinnertime.
The living room has a leather-like sofa, indoor gas log firepit, foosball, and XL sectional sofa, TV, wifi, and a nice mounted pronghorn antelope. Kitchen and bathroom flooring is nice flat tile. Other rooms have large rugs, runners, and a bit of uneven stone flooring, no wall-to-wall carpeting. Lighting was dim in some rooms, but it was not a problem for us. Just inside the front door is a pretty rock wall feature.
There is a wrap-around "boardwalk" with a nice wood deck, gas grill, and padded chairs. You can park in a one-car carport and the long driveway. We opened the sliding doors for fresh air that first day with beautiful weather. There are nice stepping stones around one side of the house.
Thank you, Traci, we totally enjoyed our time with family and all the little things you provided like the afghan and fuzzy blanket we used on the sectional as we watched one night of March Madness basketball!
