Erstaunliches Muskoka-Häuschen auf schönem hohem See

Das familienfreundliche Cottage mit 3 Schlafzimmern befindet sich an einem wunderschönen, kristallklaren See mit viel natürlichem Ufer. Es gibt 3 geräumige Decks auf dem Gelände, darunter ein großes 40-Fuß-Cottage-Deck, ein schwebendes Deck über dem Wasser und ein Kai am Wasser, das an ein 8 x 16-Zoll-Schwimmdock angeschlossen ist. Dieses Ferienhaus bietet einen wunderschönen Blick über den See und einen fantastischen flachen Sandboden zum Schwimmen. Die Küste besteht aus natürlichem Gestein und die Liegenschaft besteht aus typisch zerklüftetem Muskoka, kanadischem Schild mit einem natürlichen Pfad, der zum Uferbereich führt.

Im Inneren ist das Cottage wunderschön mit Hartholzböden ausgestattet, die über 20 Fuß hohe Gewölbedecken aus Zedernholz sowie übergroße hohe Fenster, die bis zur Decke der Kathedrale reichen, lassen viel Tageslicht in das Cottage und bieten einen ungehinderten Blick auf den See. Die beiden großen Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoss und bieten Stauraum und Kommoden. Der Loftbereich ist ein großartiger Ort für Kinder, mit viel Platz zum Spielen, Fernsehen und Schlafen. Die Küche ist zum Essbereich hin offen und bietet viel Ablagefläche. Im Wohnbereich finden Sie 3 weiche Ledersofas, auf denen Sie fernsehen oder einen Film ansehen können.

Es gibt zwei Badezimmer, eines im Erdgeschoss und das andere auf dem Dachboden. Beide sind mit Natursteinelementen vom Boden bis zur Decke ausgestattet und bieten den Komfort eines Zuhauses.

Kommen Sie und genießen Sie das Leben in der Hütte, während der Wind durch die hohen Kiefern weht, während Sie auf dem Deck sitzen und die natürliche Schönheit der Umgebung hier am Hohen See genießen. Nur 2 Stunden von Toronto entfernt!

Wonderful end of summer getaway

Cottage is on a beautiful lake and great location. Easy drive to Bracebridge and Rosseau for not so perfect weather days. Enjoyed the canoe and kids kayak daily. Used the SUP, though it could definitely use an upgrade. Caught a lot of fish, enjoyed the jumping rock, fire pit, and hike to the fish hatchery falls. House was not the cleanest and it was frustrating not having kitchen towels for drying/ cleanups. The water cooler leaked a lot of water onto the floor on our arrival and nothing to wipe it up with other than the bath towels we packed (which given the dirty floor, wasn’t the greatest). Otherwise, after a vacuum over and dusting, we had a wonderful family vacation. Made many beautiful memories at this cottage!

Good fun!

Clean beach, lots of experiences nearby to entertain. One fish caught and thrown back, 2 nights around a campfire cooking marshmallows...on the 3 rainy days the cottage became a little crowded with 2 grumpy kids! Thank you for sharing.

A piece of heaven

Most of the week there were no neighbours, an occasional motor boat or seadoo...felt safe out on the water. Views are spectacular from the cottage, the upper deck and a lower small deck and the dock. We'll looked after and spotless...thank you very much. We would like to return next year at the same time!

Great cottage for a nice quiet family vacation.

We rented at the end of August and the cottage was exactly as advertised. It was well equipped and clean. The views are amazing. The lake is clear and quiet. We loved taking the paddle boat out. Saw the loons. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were good. We had no issues at all.

Wanted to thank Carolyne for a having us this week. What a great time!! The cottage is a well appointed space with great views of the lake. We highly recommend using the canoe, Stand up paddle board and kayak for relaxing, and exploring the wonderful CLEAN lake! Evening dips looking at the stars were an added bonus. Pictures do not do this location justice. If you are looking for a quiet lake experience with very few motorized boats and mostly canoes and kayaks, then this is the place for you! The location, the amenities and overall experience were fantastic! Looking forward to next year!

Small calm lake that elevates your soul

This year we decided to try a small lake after years on large lakes. What a wonderful decision. The water was warm, the water was calm, and there was almost no motorized watercraft before noon. The Sagers’ dock is large with comfortable Muskoka chairs and a swimming ladder from heaven. The cottage is easy to navigate, the grill was a daily experience, and the furnishing inside were allergy free which was important for us. Thank you Carolyn for allowing us to be guests at your little piece of heaven.

Lovely stay

We had a fantastic week at the Sager’s cottage. The lake is quiet and we really enjoyed using the canoe and paddle boat. The rocky walk down to the lake can be a bit slippery after the rain for anyone with mobility issues but the dock is great and there are shady spots on different levels of the dock throughout the day. The layout of the cottage was nice for rainy days because the kids could play upstairs in the spacious loft bedroom. The Sagers were really responsive and easy to communicate with. We would be delighted to stay here again!

Great stay!

The cottage had everything you needed for cooking, bbq, water activities like kayak, canoe, etc. The weather was less than ideal so a flat surface area would’ve been great as we had kids with us during our stay, however, there is Fish Hatchery park a few mins drive from the cottage that had a huge grass area and a nice little trail to a small waterfall. Lawrence and Carolyn were very quick to respond to questions and messages and very helpful in pointing us to amenities.

A Cottage Getaway - Peace and Tranquility in Trying Times

My wife and I had a thoroughly relaxing and comfortable stay at the Sager family Highl Lake Cottage. Everything about our stay from the communications prior to the rental to the checkout went smoothly. The cottage is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We were particularly appreciative of the southern exposure which allowed us to have lunch outside on a sunny fall day. The kitchen is very well equiped and the BBQ is great. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking many of the Muskoka trails listed on the Discover Muskoka website, most of which are a short drive from the cottage.

Absolute Paradise

This cottage was large, comfortable, clean and beautiful! The views were stunning and sitting out on the deck in the morning with a coffee was so peaceful. We enjoyed every minute! The kids got a kick out of the fish that were everywhere, the turtles they saw and the ducks that came right up to be fed! The proximity to Port Carling (30 min) was great for grabbing groceries, stopping in at the LCBO and even grabbing a Tim’s! Make sure you do the hike to the Fish Hatchery falls that’s nearby. So scenic and lots of fun to swim in with the kids. It was a wonderfully restful week and we will definitely be back!

Amazing Cottage Getaway!

I wanted to take a quick moment to let you know what a spectacular week we had staying at your cottage. The cottage itself had exactly what we needed to be comfortable all week long. The docks, the lake entry, and the water craft that you provided were endless fun. We spent hours every day in the water, including a “ducky dip” first thing almost every morning and a few evening swims too. While we were on the dock we were regularly visited by at least two chipmunks, a red squirrel, and a family of ducks. On top of that, we had some of the best stargazing that any of us have had in our lives. We were fortunate enough to be staying during a meteor shower and we saw many shooting stars, some that left trails across half the sky! This week has gone down in our family history as one of our best vacations ever!

Great stay in Muskoka

A spacious and comfortable cottage on a beautiful, clear and warm spring-fed lake. Sand bottom, great for kids! Our family of four (2 kids under 10) had a great time swimming, paddling, canoeing and enjoying the outdoors. Enjoyed a white fish dinner caught just across the lake near Cherry Island. A few minutes drive you will find Fish Hatchery waterfalls which was a lot of fun. Overall a great cottage in a fantastic location. Thanks Carolyn and Lawrence!

What an amazing week

Perfect location, beautifully finished cottage (wordwork particularly) and some much needed reprieve from the city. Perfectly perched on a hilltop with a short walk down to the dock. Because it was quite sultry, the water was amazingly warm. Kids loved it there and Lawrence/Carolyn were so incredibly communicative. We would definitely return!

Great vacation

Very nice cottage; clean and plenty of space for our group of 3 adults, 2 children and a baby. Glad I brought my long baby gate for the wide steps off the deck; a great space to relax, spacious and a beautiful view. Big loft for the kids, they loved the Zingo game. Peadalboat, canoe and kayak to have fun on the quiet lake was nice. Only issue was I couldn’t get the vacuum to work, so I ended up sweeping which was fine, except hard to do the carpet. Overall, a really nice place and a great location. About 10-15 minutes to Rosseau, where there is a beach and a nice outdoor market on Friday mornings. Owners are great and were quick to respond.

A tranquil hideaway in Muskoka

We spent a wonderful week celebrating our 40th anniversary at this classic cottage on High Lake with our adult children and seven year old granddaughter. High Lake is a smaller and somewhat lesser known lake in the area but the privacy and quiet suited us perfectly. The cottage accommodated six with ease and is nicely finished in a classic style, while the dock, water equipment and shallow swimming bay were used daily. The lake itself is easy to explore by canoe and has a noticeable absence of the noisy boats and jet skis that can so often irritate during a multi-day stay. As the location is secluded, it's important to arrive well stocked as supermarkets are about 35 kilometers away. However, the fabulous Rosseau General Store is nearby --perhaps a 15 minute drive -- and stocks the basics plus has a great meat selection in its small in-house butcher shop. (Hint: try the pork rib racks.) Overall, this property was a very satisfactory introduction to Muskoka cottage life for our Alberta family. Thanks, Lawrence and Carol!

A true slice of Muskoka paradise!!

We spent two weeks enjoying the mostly peaceful (with minor exceptions for a noisy jet ski or two) Muskoka environment which this cottage provided. Lots of room to accommodate 8 to 9 people; well laid out interior with very nice wood details. Beautiful bathrooms as well. We really enjoyed the fairly easy access to the water for both swimming and boating activities. Close proximity to Huntsville; Bracebridge; and Rosseau for grocery shopping needs. There is also a small general store located at Bent River - good place to purchase firewood and water jugs for the water cooler, as well as a few other items. Also not too far from the Crossroads Restaurant, located in Rosseau, which serves fabulous meals. The cottage owners were extremely responsive to any of our concerns or questions, and very pleasant to deal with. Will definitely consider returning some time in the future.

Being a carpenter with appreciation for beautiful wood work, I have transformed our cottage into a prime rental property, offering all the comforts of home that our renters have come to expect. As an outdoor enthusiast, I love boating on our quiet lake and hiking on the nearby trails. My wife and I, along with our four children, have made many beautiful memories at our lakefront cottage and our renters have made their own also. Our cottage is centrally located on the lake with a south western exposure. Sit back on the dock in our Muskoka chairs and let the hours pass by while the waves gently lap the shore.
