We were picked up by Sarah who was happy to show us around. This home is a short distance to grocery store, liquor store, small plaza, and close to main sight seeing sites, and an easy 10 min stroll to the Banana Bay pub on the beach. At the home, we were greeted by a large fruit basket, champagne, various other cold drinks, a large selection of cheese, and lots of basic staples found in the pantry. You don't need to do the grocery store trip right away on arrival. It can wait a day at least. The home as everything you could need, from shampoo, bugspray, to water floatie, books, luxurious bedding, and large rocking chairs on the front porch. The beach is 200 steps away, and is a dream: clear water, lots of snorkeling just at the front, there are rocky areas to explore. We had the beach to ourselves at least half of the time. Gradual gentle slope. And also low tide is just so gorgeous. The location is quiet and super relaxing. We could leave the loundge chairs by the grass on the beach in the evenings. (Don't look for the gazebo, the last storms of fall 2016 took it away.!) The pool at the back is great also. The boys could fish from the beach, got some fun action with a Bone Fish. The owners are so quick to respond to inquiries, and provide the most helpful information. We even had flight cancellations on the way back, we couldn't leave the island (due to the Atlanta storms in the US). We felt comfortable phoning the owners who kindly told us, to not worry and to just stay at the house ! It was so nice of them: everything was booked with a whole plane full of folks who couldn't leave the island, and they just housed us overnight for free. They took great care of us, these people have your back and care about you having a good time. We will return for sure!
