Great location, cute apartment.

The apartment is a studio. There's a Murphy bed which can be folded up during the day as desired. I never folded it up. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was necessary to climb in a step stool to get dishes. Other than those very minor inconvenience s, it was great. I would stay here again i lived the building.

Tres chic

This apartment was cozy but very well appointed, very comfortable and very elegant. Lots ot natural light. Very clean, and the Murphy bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and nice, with many shops and restaurants nearby. The house is on the Seine. Paul speaks excellent English. He and Camille were very good hosts. An excellent value. .

Perfect Studio in a Perfect Location

I stayed in this lovely studio apartment on the Ile St. Louis between Christmas and New Years and it was perfect in every way. A perfect location near so many shops, restaurants, and sights, it was extremely functional and had everything I needed. Everything worked well - it was cozy and warm on the chilly days, the bed was very comfortable and easy to operate, and the apartment was immaculately clean. The bathroom was especially nice, well lit with lovely views over the rooftops. The WiFi worked well. The host, Paul, was responsive to my questions and very helpful. Overall, I had a great stay here and would love to come back in the future. Thank you Paul!

The apartment is exactly as advertised. It is small but has everything that is needed and everything was functional. The location is perefect since it is very central. We were surprised how quiet the apartment was given its location.The walk to the RER B train station (train to CDG airport) and Metro stations are less than 20min away (with luggage). The apartment is on the 5th floor and can be reached by elevator. However, the elevator is very narrow and fits just two people without luggage. We are not overweight at all and it was tight. If you hold a baguette you have to turn it sideways. Since it is a glass elevator one doesn't feel cramped, though. Supermarket, butcher, bakery, cafe, restaurants are just one or two streets over. The checkin process was very easy. Although checkin time is posted at 4PM, Paul was willing to greet us shortly before noon so we could drop off our luggage and received the keys. We returned around 3PM after cleaning was done. Overall the property is very clean - staircase, elevator and hallways were cleaned daily.The main door to the street (what you see in the property description) as well as the door to the stair case/elevator do have key pad access. Never felt unsafe.We found our place when we return to Paris in the future.

Just Enough.

Even though the space is a bit small, it is just enough for what you need. Since there is so much to see and do in Paris, we really only need this place to be in a good location and have the essential amenities and it delivered. Christel greeted us warmly when we got there even though it was before check in time and she went over everything in the apartment and where it was. The place is beautifully located next to the Siene River and a few blocks away from Notre Dame. We would stay again here in a heartbeat.

Second time is a charm!

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we decided to stay again this year. It is in the best location, close to the trains, restaurants, sightseeing. The apartment is clean, comfortable and very quiet. If we go back to Paris, we would definitely stay here again. Christel met us when we arrived and as always, is delightful and lovely. Wonderful apartment on the Ile St Louis

The studio is Ieal for two people. If you can bring yourself to cook in an area with hundreds of restaurants, the kitchen is fully stocked. There’s a great view of Paris rooftops, too. And the apartment is dead quiet. Hated to leave the place and hope to come back next year.

A perfect little jewel!

We loved our stay in this delightful little jewel apartment! It is small by American standards but has everything you could possibly need. Christel has designed it in a very tasteful and efficient way. The view over the rooftops of Paris was delightful. The building was very nice with a elevator. The apartment was quiet. The bathroom was perfect and the bed was comfortable. Christel was great to work with. We definitely recommend it.

Couldn't have been better

Christel's apartment was as advertised. It was cozy and updated. The view from our flat was incredible with an incredible history of the building itself. I mean really, you are staying on a historic Island in the middle of the Sienne River. The location is great for being a tourist and seeing the attractions. Local restaurants were great and we finished every evening 30 seconds from our front door with a glass of wine sitting on the banks of the River just enjoying the atmosphere. Christel herself was very friendly and co-operative. Very eager to help out and make sure you enjoy your time in Paris and are happy and comfortable with her flat. She was wonderful! I highly recommend her place if you get a chance.

Best location in Paris!

I just spent a week in Paris with my daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday. The apartment is very small (even by European standards), but has everything that you need. The building was very secure with two locked entries even before the apartment. We felt very safe. Christel explained everything about the apartment and was very nice. My only complaint was that she was not great at communicating before our trip. I like to cook, so I used the kitchen a lot. It is fairly well appointed for its size. I did buy a few utensils that it was missing (a serrated bread knife, a spatula), and left them so that others will have them. The coffee maker was wonderful! Loved the generous crema that it created! It was not a Nespresso, but a similar system. There are several grocery stores close by in the St. Paul area. The apartment also had a washing machine that we used several times. Very handy! The couch/bed system worked well and was very comfortable. The bathroom was very cute and had wonderful views over the rooftops, and the shower was lovely. There is not a lot of storage for your luggage or a place to put your clothes, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase 😊. (There is a closet, but it There is a closet, but it has a vacuum and drying rack in it-so not a lot of room.). But the charm and location of this apartment make up for a lot of small inconveniences. Île St. Louis is my favorite location in Paris. The views from the apartment and the sound of the bells ringing from Notre Dame make this a wonderful place to stay. Merci beaucoup for a special week in Paris!

Wonderful Little Apartment in the Middle of Paris

My wife and I just returned from an excellent trip to Paris. Our stay in this studio apartment was perfect. It is a small apartment, but with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation including a washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment is on the Ile Saint Louis, just a few blocks from Notre Dame and the Sully/Morland Metro Station. Ice cream, pastries, restaurants, and all sorts of shops are just around the corner. The building was very quiet and the apartment was cozy. It was so nice to have an apartment to call home for our time in Paris.

We stayed at a lovely studio apartment on Isle de Ste. Louis

We were met at the apartment by our most charming hostess who was busy tidying up and preparing for our stay. We were on the 5th floor but the building has an elevator! The apartment was immaculate and Christel took the time to show us the workings of the coffee maker, dish washer and clothes washer. There is no dryer as the Europeans hang their clothes to dry. This apartment has a Murphy bed but was very comfortable. We kept the bed out at all times and still had room to walk. She provided lovely shower gel, there is a hair dryer and outlets in the kitchen for recharging phones and such. The island itself was absolutely beautiful. We actually spent a lot of our time exploring our island. Notre Dam is a mere crossover on a bridge to Isle de Ste. Cite and Sainte Chappelle is a must visit where the royals actually went for Sunday services. The metro is only two blocks from the apartment and it runs very efficiently. We easily navigated the system to Moulin Rouge, The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Rail to Reims and Versailles. One block from our street there were stores dedicated to exclusive foods. There is a patisserie for pastries (delicious croissants and quiche!), bakery for breads, fromagerie for delicious cheeses, gourmet candies, a wine store and apparently the best ice cream in Paris is located here! Fresh baguettes and cheese were our staple for breakfast! The restaurants were wonderful! While I tried out my 4 years of High School French, pretty much everyone spoke English but we knew they appreciated our attempt at French. We could not have chosen a better place to stay and I would highly recommend this apartment and Isle! Merci Christel et Paris!!!

Fabulous location, wonderful landlady, spotless apartment!

We LOVED staying at this flat. It is a little studio on the 6th floor of an old building, but it has a charming and convenient elevator. The apartment is small, but so well appointed and tastefully decorated. There is a pull-down Murphy bed - very comfortable. The shower/bathroom is modern and spotlessly clean. Christel left tea/coffee etc, as well as plenty of soap, toilet paper etc. There is a washing machine that spins the clothes almost dry and a drying rack. Best of all is the wonderful location on the Ile St. Louie where we had never stayed before. We walked everywhere we wanted to go - to the Luxembourg Gardens, through the Marais, along the Seine. We bought food in the local shops - butcher, baker, groceries and ate twice at the Cafe St. Regis for lunch. We will stay here again and again, I hope.

Charming flat in a wonderful location!

This flat is beautifully appointed. The decor is charming; there were mirrors and outlets enough to satisfy our needs. The decor is charming and wonderfully relaxing for two people who travel well together. The bed is a Murphy bed and the room is small, but it is so well decorated that it seemed larger than it really was! And, oh my, - the location!!! The location of this little apartment is absolutely perfect. If I could give this 10 stars, I would!! I will definitely seek out this flat again when I’m in Paris!!!!

Absolutely perfect!

Location, location, location! Charm in abundance and bliss...so quiet. We have stayed in Paris previously in the 4th but are thrilled to have discovered Christel’s Simply perfect studio apartment. The 5th floor apartment is accessed by the cutest elevator, so no struggling with luggage. Once inside the apartment EVERYTHING we needed was there. The kitchen may be small but it literally had everything, we loved the espresso machine so much we may have over indulged a bit (sorry Christel). The bathroom was very modern, clean and again everything a woman could need was there. Christel herself was a perfect treat, someone we felt comfortable with immediately. She gave a complete run through of the apartment and made checking in and out very simple. We would love to come back to this perfect spot in the heart of Paris. Absolutely would recommend to family and friends (although perhaps we should keep it a secret)!

Great location

This tiny apartment has been tastefully renovated making excellent use of the space. Location excellent, step outside to see the Seine, many restaurants, grocers and shops. Metro and bus within 5-10minute walk. Nice shower with towel warmer/heater. Clean and nicely appointed. Unfortunately poor communication with the owner. Greeter spoke French only. No instructions regarding TV ( did not go to Paris to watch TV but knowing how to operate would have been a plus). Water leak with no water our last morning which effected our departure preparation. Know in an old building and these things can not be predicted. If you good in small quarters and a Murphy Bed (comfortable)..then this place is for you.

A charming, well positioned studio flat which was very clean and quiet! Highly recommended!

Upon arrival we were met by Christel, the owner of this delightful apartment. She showed us the robes and made us feel very welcome! This is a very charming little studio flat with all the amenities required. The Île St Louis is wonderful - a quiet oasis in the heart of busy city! Only a 5 min walk to get your morning croissant and baguette! We felt like true Parisians!!! We will be back again! Thank you Christel for a splendid stay! Perhaps we’ll see you in Bath UK someday?!?
