ACHTUNG: Die Jekyll Island State Park Authority hat mit der Wiederherstellung von Dünen für den nördlichen Teil von Jekyll Island begonnen. Infolgedessen kann der Zugang zum Strand zu bestimmten Zeiten eingeschränkt oder nicht vorhanden sein. Es gibt immer noch Zugang über Driftwood Beach, der nördlich von Villas By The Sea liegt, oder nur wenige Autominuten von Great Dunes Park oder Ocean View Park entfernt, die im Sommer 2019 eröffnet werden. Wir entschuldigen uns für alle Unannehmlichkeiten.

We definitely plan to come back again!Only issue we had was that the pillows in the primary bedroom were so hard and flat that we had to go out and buy our own. I suggest replacing them and that mattress. At least one more frying pan for cooking would also be helpful as there was only one.

Fun at Jekyll

A nice experience for my son and grand daughter. Overall a good time. One minor distraction was work being done next door. Noise from saws and tile cutters.

We had such a lovely stay! The condo was comfortable and in a great location. The kitchen was lacking cutting knives which made cooking a bit of a challenge, but overall we had a great stay. The condo was clean and Jekyll Realty staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

It was just what we needed!

We have stayed at Jekyll island for 30 years and have been coming to Villas for that same period and have NEVER had a bed stay. But we decided to rent from Jekyll Realty this time so we coukd rent a specific villa. The check in was fine, when we got there the Villa was fine until we went to the full bath upstairs that was filthy. There was dirt and hair all over the floor, mold on the walls and ceiling and trash in the trash can. I then called the office to see if they could bring us an iron and ironing board, which were not in the unit. I had to leave a message and they did not callme back, in the meantime we can back from a day out and there was oil all iver the kitchen floor from the fridge? I told them about all of these problems, they seemed very annoyed about my concerns and never once apologized. We came home to an iron no ironing board the oil still under the fridge and they had sprayed some bleach on the bathroom ceiling. They also never followed up to ask if everything was ok? We will continue to come the Jekyll but will never use this mgmt company again

Needs a deep cleaning and declutter

Older property that shows some wear but issues are with the need for a deep cleaning. Closet’s and cabinets full of unnecessary junk. Old door mats at front and back doors stacked on top of each other instead of throwing old ones away (7 disgusting mats stacked up at 2 doors) Old bath mats and stuff crammed under bathroom sink so it’s not useable for your needs. Half the master closet is stacked with bedding spilling out. Couch is uncomfortable, decor and furniture is crowded with unnecessary things that make it feel cluttered. More attention should be paid to the unit to ensure a positive guest experience.

Comfortable stay but obstructed views

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really liked the nautical decor and always grateful for the 1 1/2 bath condos. The upstairs carpet and throw rugs definitely need a cleaning, but otherwise the condo was in really good condition. We had really wanted oceanfront but were unable to get it due to construction on the property. The upstairs balcony had a glimpse of oceanview through the trees, but there's a huge electrical box right in front of the downstairs patio, which was a real eyesore. The lack of a view is the only reason we will not rent this property again. We love Jekyll Island and usually choose Villas by the Sea, so we're very hopeful the construction will be complete before we return, since we really enjoy the location of the property and the convenience and privacy of a condo. We also really like the Driftwood Bistro located so conveniently at the Villas and the restored beach gazebo.

Jekyll - Perfect Getaway

Villas by the Sea was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. Parts of the villas are under a remodeling phase, but nothing that interrupted our stay. Our villa was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. *Be careful in the shower - the floor is very slippery*. The property is right next to Driftwood Beach (a must see!). We rented bikes from the villas one day. There are beautiful bike trails that take you along the island surrounded by live oak trees. You are just steps away from the beach and the swimming pool. The island feels very secluded and we felt like we had our own private beach. There are not a lot of restaurants on the island and some of are only open to guests at their resorts. The restaurant on site (Driftwood Bistro) was our favorite. It is not open every day, so check the times. There was a two hour wait, but we opted to sit at the bar and got served right away. It was the perfect getaway and we would definitely love to go back again!
