"Captain's Quarters" ist ein neu renoviertes Poolhaus im Conch-Stil mit drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern für acht Personen. Es befindet sich an der Meile 52 mit direktem Zugang zum Meer. Dieses charmante Haus mit schönen Decken aus Nut- und Federholz befindet sich nur vier Grundstücke vom Atlantik entfernt, sodass Sie in nur wenigen Minuten angeln und tauchen können. Der Vaca Cut ist ebenfalls bequem zu erreichen, sodass Sie in nur wenigen Minuten am Golf sind auch. Da dieses Haus so nah am Meer liegt, können Sie auch die schöne Aussicht auf das offene Wasser und die sanfte Meeresbrise genießen. Wir haben auch gerade einen schönen neuen beheizten Pool installiert, der Sie im Sommer kühl hält und auch im Winter beheizt wird, damit Sie ihn das ganze Jahr über genießen können. Dieses Haus befindet sich in einer ruhigen Gegend, hat viele Parkplätze und es ist bequem zu Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Köder- und Angelgeschäften, Tauchgeschäften, Marathon-Flughafen, Sombrero Beach, und es ist zu Fuß zum Oceanfront Park mit einem 1 / 2 Meilen Joggen und Fitnesspfad, Hundepark, Angeldocks und schöne Tiki-Hütten direkt am Meer. Mit einer Kanalfront von über 30 Metern gibt es genügend Anlegeplätze für ein großes Boot, und das Step-Down-Dock ist eine nette Funktion, damit die ganze Familie problemlos auf Ihr Boot zugreifen kann. Zu den Annehmlichkeiten zählen eine modernisierte Küche mit Geräten aus Edelstahl, modernisierte Badezimmer mit übergroßer Dusche, zwei Kajaks für die Gäste, ein Step-Down-Dock, eine Fischreinigungsstation, ein Gefrierschrank für Köder, eine Waschmaschine, ein Fernseher im Wohnzimmer und in jedem Schlafzimmer sowie WLAN. Perfect spot!

Just as advertised - greatly little spot on the water! Kitchen was stocked well enough to prepare meals and serve entire family! We liked the additional bait freezer that was located on the property. Overall, a wonderful spot that we would recommend!

Everything was as listed. Pool is actually larger than it looks in the photos . Amazing location. Only 4 houses down from open Atlantic. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Stay

This house was even nicer that the pictures that showed it. Every room, including the kitchen, was spacious and comfortable. We cooked all our meals, including four types of pierogi for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, and I found everything I needed, and was totally comfortable working in the kitchen. The grill was clean and easy to operate, too. Our mattress was firm and comfortable, and our family said the same about theirs. I felt like quality materials were chosen for the house and that really added to our comfort. We loved the pool and patio and took several meals to the covered picnic table. Ed, the property manager, stopped by to show us how to regulate the pool temperature and he was quick to answer any questions and help when needed. I’m not sure if we’ll get back to the Keys, but if we do, this is where we will stay. It was ideal.

Great Time In the Keys

The location was great. Nice to have a park across the street to walk the dog. Easy to get out into the Atlantic by boat. Plenty of linens. Steps into living room are a bit tricky for elderly. We enjoyed our stay.

Boat Owners Use Caution

The house and outdoor area was very nice and clean. There is not much living area but bedrooms and baths were really large. The shower in the largest bath could use a different faucet and was difficult to use. As in previous posts, the canal is narrow and difficult to turn your boat around. The channel coming into the canal is shallow in spots. All these are fine if you are a well experienced captain with a small boat or a boat with thrusters. These facts should be mentioned in the listing. There also needs to be a garden hose on both sides of the house. Also mentioned in previous posts, the street is narrow as well and requires precision backing of the trailer. Overall, if you have a small boat (20 ft or less) or aren’t bringing your boat, this is a very nice house.

Wonderful stay

Lovely place in a nice location had everything we needed for a great vacation for 3 adults. Beds were very comfortable. We cooked most nights using a well equipped kitchen. We saw manatees in the canal and caught enough snapper for a dinner. The small airport is nearby, but there wasn't enough air traffic to bother us. Nights were quiet. We will certainly return!

Family Vacation

We have stayed in Marathon a few times and we really enjoyed this home. The private pool was amazing and our 4 year old loved having his "pool parties" every evening. We had everything we needed plus more for the house and everything was as pictured. As others had mentioned the road and driveway are a bit tight for a boat trailer. We had to back the trailer down the road but was not a problem as the street is really quiet. We had a 24.5' boat and it was just about all you could get into the driveway and out of the road. Just the trailer was not bad but with the boat on the trailer it probably was over the property line slightly for our last night there. As long as you are comfortable backing a trailer this was not an issue. The property owners was very responsive and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for the awesome trip!

Good stay

A few things I wish I had known prior. Location was good for easy access by boat however the road by vehicle is very small. There is no turn around for boat so you have to back down or unhitch and rehitch. Bigger problem was we had 2 other rentals with boats so we were all stuck waiting on each other. The pool is super small big enough for 4 adults to stand around that’s it. The inside is dated and needs some updates. We did let the manager know a few things that didn’t work and hopefully it’s fixed for next renters. Overall a good location just wasn’t prepared for a few things.

2 week stay

The house was well kept and had everything we needed. Boat/trailer parking for a 30’ was a bit tough but we made it work. Contacting the owner or manager was very easy and their replies were quick. Pool area was clean and dockage was large enough for my 30’ and 21’ boat. If I had to list any negatives, the bed frames in the guest rooms were loud and cheap. The beds slept great but could travel on you. The house was overall a nice place to stay. I have been going to the keys every year and think this size house with its amenities was a bit overpriced.

Perfect Oasis!

This home was exactly what we needed. Centrally located in quiet neighborhood. Very clean, well stocked and felt like home. Fished every day in the canal, so relaxing. Caught Mango snappers, Key west grunts by the dozen. Manatee visits were one of our favorite parts of the day. Pool was so clean and refreshing, thankful for the shade from the Tiki hut. Nancy was so nice and kind. Would definitely stay at this place again and would highly recommend it!!

Convenient

This place was great we all have a nice experience it is the first time in 5 years going to the keys that we found a nice neighbors. They told us where to go and super nice couple . The house over hall was great nice heated pool and the location was amazing we where able to go out in our boat every day since the exit is a facing the Atlantic Ocean. There is plenty space for trailer (just don’t make the same mistake I made) there is a dolly inside the little house that makes parking the boat trailer much easier I found out after I parked my. The rooms are spacious and the beds very confortable . Only thing that we found a little uncomfortable was the bugs inside the house there was little ants everywhere but nothing major . I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay

We LOVED our stay here. We had a family of 5-2 adults, 3 kids (10, 7 and 1.5 year old) My daughters had so much fun in the pool and fishing right off the back of the house. The house was fully stocked with plates, pots, pans etc. We would most definitely consider staying here again. :)))

Great Place!

This location was central and fantastic. The house was clean and came with many amenities not offered by others, including a heated pool! There is a park and dog park right next to the property, though you will have to walk to the end of the road to get to get around the perimeter fence line to access it. The property is next to a small airport, but we rarely, if ever, heard any noise from it. All in all, a great place to stay! I never had to contact the property owner/manager during my stay. Everything was as it should be.

Perfect house and location

We had an amazing time and really appreciated all the amenities. We loved having our own pool, everything was clean, beds were comfortable, well appointed kitchen, plenty of room for parking…can’t say enough. I especially liked having the park next to us for jogging and boating had easy ocean access. We also enjoyed the manatee visit.

Perfect for 8 adults and 3 dogs!!

Exactly as described and very clean! We have stayed in the Keys since 2012, and have never had a home stocked like this one; kitchen had literally anything you needed! Pool was perfect and so was docking area for our boat! We kept up with laundry throughout the week and only had to buy our detergent and dryer sheets and a four pack of toilet paper and paper towels! We had room out front for our 2 trucks and a boat trailer. Not a complaint, but oh man the rocks out back sure hurt your feet, so make sure your shoes are nearby;) We recommend Island Fish Company for dinner and Worldwide Sportsman and Robbie’s Marina for a good time! Lots of fishing and we caught a huge variety: Tarpon, Shark, hogfish, parrot fish, mangrove snapper, porgy, lion fish, yellowtail snapper and more!! Oh, and the highlight was our three Manatees that came to visit us 3-4 times at our dock!! Thanks Nancy for sharing your lovely home, and already requested next year! Sincerely, The Bland Family
