Not in Chiusavecchia
First of all, the property is not in Chiusavecchia itself, but in a small place called Olivastri in the middle of the olive tree farms. It is very charming but there is absolutely nothing there, not even a bakery.
There is off street parking, but it's very limited and we permanently had to be very careful where to park our big station wagon.
The neighbors were not friendly. I got yelled at the first day as I was sittinf in the parking lot for at most 30 seconds and didn't notice another car arrived. I would have loved to just apologize for my inattention but they person immediately decided to call me slurs due to our German license plate.
Then we realized the wifi was not working. I messaged the landlord and she reset the password, but the wifi is only available on the mezzanine and nowhere else in the little house.
The restaurant in the listing was closed the entire time we were there, so we can't say much about that.
The kitchen in the apartment has very little utensils and basically zero spices.
On the positive, the landlord and her partner were very nice. They gave us olive oil they made themselves and check-out was as simple as leaving the keys in the door.
There is a big river following the main road to Imperia. If you follow it in the other directions, towards Chiusanico (which is a cute little village with restaurants and bars), there is a pull-off on the left which leads you to a magnificient basin in which you can slide along the rocks. It was truly like out of a movie.
All in all the property is good value for money if quietness and alone time is what you are looking for. The nights are quiet as can be.
The drive to the beaches in Imperia is short and some of the beaches are great. We opted for a private beach. 20€ per day for 2 lounge chairs with an umbrella in the front row. There is also a pool and a slide. Great for families!
