Carolina Dreaming
This is the perfect spot for a genuinely relaxing time away. Just a half an hour away from a huge airport, you are quickly and easily transported to a stress-free lakeside environment. This house is huge with all the enmities. We loved the warm pool surrounded by the red rose bushes in bloom.
The lake is also surprisingly warm, very clean and not nearly as crowded as many lakes of this size in the south.
The nearby town of Belmont is charming with lots of nice restaurant and bar choices. We really liked Nellie's. There are also several nice walking trails nearby. Downtown Charlotte is only about 40 minutes away.
You can tell the owner of the "Fountain of Young" has a great deal of pride, as this home is maintained at a standard well above the normal vacation rental. We hope to be back soon!
