Heading to Sorrento and want a place that’s great for a group to stay, and a little off the beaten path? Overall our group of 6 were happy with the rooms, bathrooms, beds and location – we were here for 6 days, and it worked well for us. I’d recommend for the owner to get much faster Wifi based on the individuals who would want to come here. Granted that lack of wifi allowed our group to interact more with each other than our phones.
Pros:
Property: A large, clean property just outside the heart of Sorrento, but close enough to get anywhere. (Sorrento, Postiano, Amalfi, etc)
Walking: Walkable distance to the Massa Lubrense Harbor which is more of a ‘locals’ only spot. Some of our best and casual lunches and dinners were a nice walk along the water pathways.
Views: Incredible Patio and Rooftop for sunsets. Unobstructed views of Capri and sunsets in the horizon and Naples. The view alone, is fantastic to have drinks and watch the sun set.
Kitchen: Well stocked kitchen with cooking pots/pans/plates, etc. we cooked a few meals here
Local protected swimming area: a short walk down from the place there is a great protected swimming area, which is gorgeous and again more locals only. We swam there several times and was a great spot
Cons:
Wifi: Frustratingly slow wifi. So slow you cannot even upload videos to Instagram, have Zooms, or do anything actually semi (non) productive.
Distance to Main Towns: For some, you could find the distance to Sorrento or other places a problem. You always need a Taxi, which can take a long time to get, or you have to organize cars in advance, or you could rent Scooters to quickly get places. Distance could be an issue as you cannot walk to any major town, and need to organize transport to those places.
