Das GRITS ist eine luxuriöse Hütte im Wilderness Resort am Rande des Big South Fork National Park. 3 Schlafzimmer, 3 Badezimmer, 1 Kingsize-Bett, 2 Queensize-Betten sowie ein Dachboden mit 2 Einzelbetten. Die Kabine bietet bequem Platz für 8 Personen in Betten. Gegen Aufpreis können im beheizten / AC-Schlafraum in der Scheune weitere 2 Personen übernachten. Viel Brennholz für den großen Kamin im großen Raum oder für das FP im Freien auf dem großen Deck mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten. Reiter können den Pfad direkt vor der Tür erreichen. 3 Stallscheunen, 3 große Koppeln, Brimstone ATV Park nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt. Genießen Sie am Ende des Tages den Whirlpool für 4 Personen auf der abgeschirmten Veranda, während Sie Ihren Lieblingsfilm ansehen. Der maßgefertigte Tisch bietet Platz für 8 Personen, und auf beiden Terrassen befindet sich ein Tisch, an dem jeweils weitere 4 Personen Platz finden. Nutzen Sie einen Holzkohle- oder Propangrill. Highspeed-Internet und Kabel-TV stehen zur Verfügung. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit all Ihren Kochbedürfnissen. Pferde sind herzlich willkommen! Amazing Christmas getaway

We were able to just relax and recharge as a family over Christmas. Hiked, fires and s’mores, watching Christmas movies and enjoying the hot tub every night. Perfect cabin. Our family loved everything about it. Spent Christmas Eve using ATV in Brimstone recreation park. Wonderful memories!

This cabin was beautiful. We had 7 friends from 5 states together for a trail race and it was an incredible place to hang out and relax afterwards.

GRITS is GREAT

We loved our stay at this private cabin. The Wilderness Resorts is a very nice gated community that provides privacy to all the residences. We did not see anyone else our entire stay, including on the horse trails. The horse trails are some of the best in the BSF.

Another wonderful stay at GRITS

I think this is our 4th or 5th time staying at GRITS. That should be all I need to say. The cabin is comfortable, well equipped, very clean, ...pretty much everything we like. Communication with the owner is excellent. The barn and turnout are safe and so convenient. We'll be back.

Perfect Hiking Getaway

Our hiking group reserved the Grits cabin for our yearly hiking trip. It was wonderful and met all of our needs beautifully. The wooded setting was so peaceful and the location was fantastic on the edge of the Big South Fork River and Recreation area that we had come down to hike. One of our days we jumped on the trails right from the cabin. The hot tub was lovely at the end of a day of hiking. Thank you for such lovely and comfortable accommodations!

Fun in the Mountains

The house was very clean and welcoming. Everything was exactly as advertised. There were plenty of blankets to keep us warm and a hot tub to relax. We enjoyed the river a short distance away. Beautiful home in wonderful location

Friends of 50 years met here to go to out high school reunion of 50 year. Just the right size with the right amenities. We loved having the porches and would have enjoyed the outdoor fireplace, but ran out of time.

Loved The grits cabin!

It fit our party, plenty of towels ,blankets , cleaning supply’s. Beautiful cabin, hot water was awsome after all of our showers. Hot tubs was wonderful after we got back from our 6 hrs of riding each day. A lot of dishes, I could go on and on. So relaxing there. Yes I would come back. Only bad thing would be if u have horses. There is 3 paddocks and 20 steps up a hill packed hay was hard for us being in our 60s. Paddocks we’re old up the hill but behind the barn we’re great and big enough for a lot of horses there , really could make that 2 paddocks if wanted too. Little tight for 3 trailers but hey we been in worst spots. Other than that. It was amazing! Trails were good. Woods and river so nice. But cabin is fully stocked and clean. Thz for having us.

New Year Getaway

Love GRITS

We've stayed at GRITS several times, and enjoy it tremendously. Cabin is lovely. Barn is great. Paddock is terrific for our horses. Brenda is very responsive to messages and questions. I say this every time, but "We'll be back."

My husband and I (married 35 years) and our two daughters, have always enjoyed the outdoors. We dreamed of owning a cabin where we could enjoy our family and our horses. We are both native Tennesseans and put down roots in Middle TN to raise our kids. My passion is equine rescue, and I spend most of my spare time trying to make a difference and educate people on animal welfare. We currently have several equine rescues, as well as several dogs n cats!

Our familly spent the last several years going to different destinations to hit the trails. In 2010 we decided to stay in the GRITS cabin and explore the Big South area. We found ourselves going back to this area, and when the cabin went up for sale, we made the decision we had to have this piece of paradise!

GRITS (Girls Raised in the South), is such a great location to enjoy the BSF. Ride from the barn right onto the trailhead and miles of trails. We love sitting in the hot tub and building a fire when the season turns cool. Sitting on the screened in porch and listening to the bullfrogs and the crickets makes the work week a memory.
