Fantastic Location - Italian-style Living

The location of this property is perfect! Very close to train / bus which is the way to travel around the area. Leave the car at the rental lot! A short walk down to the shore. Take the bus back up if you don't want to walk. Shops, eateries, everything is nearby. The apartment itself was perfect for us -- two friends. Very comfortable and clean with great views. The apartment is on the top floor (there is an elevator) with wrap-around balcony -- great views and wonderful cross-breezes. Amedeo is a great host and we availed ourselves of his sailing trip to Capri. You cannot go wrong with this property!

Beautiful Sunsets near Sorrento

Amedeo was very nice to share his lovely apartment, (he hangs out on his boat when guests come). He was most helpful in answering all our questions and recommending restaurants. The apartment is very spacious with huge wrap around patio offering perfect sunsets overlooking Sorrento. The kitchen was well stocked and street parking was always available nearby. The location was awesome because it was 2 minutes to the local train station with central Sorrento just 10 min by train. But it's about a mile to the water straight downhill so we drove the car. It is city living so there was street noise and church bells. The bathrooms could use a good cleaning.

Great apartment with views to die for!

Great place with plenty of room for 8 of us. Kids had room to move. Amedeo was such a great help with what to do and when the best times to go places were. He also has a boat that we took out the last day to and around Capri. Cost was similar to the ferry with 8 of us but Sooooo much nicer. We had a car, but even without the train station is literaly right around the block to get to Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano and the rest of the coastal sites.

Great location and brilliant views

Stayed here for a short break over Easter, loved the apartment, especially the access to the roof terrace with wonderful views. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, although a little dated in some rooms. As we decided to use public transport, the location of the train station only a 2 minute walk away was brilliant and the service was good, although some patience is called for when using the buses, which seemed to run whenever they pleased. Amedeo was very helpful from the start, not only about the accommodation but also with information about what we could see and do in the area. Within Meta we would definitely recommend the Tico Tico restaurant, built into the cliffs and down in the port area. We definitely would like to go back one day.

Spacious, well-stocked apartment in convenient location

We had a lovely and comfortable winter stay (27-31 Dec) in this light and spacious apartment just outside Sorrento. We were ten minutes' train journey to Sorrento, twenty minutes to Pompei and an hour into Naples. The children had room to run around, and plenty of toys and games on hand. We had access to all facilities, including wifi, television, telephone, washing machine, dishwasher and a fully stocked kitchen. Parking was easy in the residential streets, and we only used our rental car to drive to Vesuvius, otherwise we hopped on the Circumvesuviana train line. The balcony offers great views, we especially enjoyed the fireworks spectacle on New Year's eve. Our host, Amedeo, was extremely helpful and provided info and support as necessary. Consider the opportunity to charter his sailing boat for a sea view of Sorrento! The kitchen needs some renovation, but all in all a very good stay.

Appartement pratique et propriétaire toujours dispo

Nous avons passé 4 nuits à Meta, petite ville tout proche de Sorrento. L' appartement est spacieux, et peut acceuillir une famille avec 3, voire 4 enfants. Le balcon avec la table de ping pong est fantastique, de même que l'ouverture sur le paysage environnant. La cuisine aurait besoin d'un coup de neuf, sinon, rien à redire.

What a view!

The apartment is large with 2 bedrooms and a huge balcony with superb views across the bay of Naples where you can watch beautiful sunsets. It is located in the residential area of Meta and is a 10 minute walk to the sea where there are some bars and restaurants. It is across from the station where you can catch a train to Sorrento (10 mins) or the other way to Pompeii, Herculaneum or Naples. We were able to park our car in the street and only used it to drive along the Amalfi coast to Positano and used the train the other days.

un appartement très spacieux et très agréable avec une grande terrasse.

Cet appartement est idéal pour découvrir la région de Naples et tous ses sites touristiques. La ville de Méta permet d'éviter le stress de Naples. Si vous êtes en voiture, il est possible de s'y garer facilement. Sinon, la gare est à 1 minute à pieds. Le bord de mer est très agréable et les restos sympas. L'appartement en lui même est spacieux, agréable, et une immense terrasse en fait presque le tour. On peut y manger, bronzer ou jouer au ping pong. Le point de vue est magnifique : la mer d'un côté, la montagne de l'autre. L'accueil du propriétaire est très sympathique. Il habite tout près et est toujours prêt à rendre service et donner des conseils.

Lovely Easter in Meta

The top-floor, family-sized apartment was perfect for our recent trip to the Sorrento Peninsula/Amalfi Coast. The terrace views are fantastic--with the sea, cliffs, and Vesuvius on one side, and the nearby Basilica on the other. We were there for Easter (including the Holy Thursday and Good Friday processions), which made for a memorable visit. The apartment is also a couple minutes' walk to the regional train station; we hopped on it to get to Sorrento one morning and then used it to come back from Naples after taking a ferry there from Sorrento. All in all, the apartment was a great base from which to explore the peninsula and the Amalfi coast, and we would certainly come back!
