The good: The location is great. Its right on the Charmetogger lift. Its a few mins walk from the centre of Arc 1800 and right on top of a ski rental shop, a small supermarket, a bakery, a pizza takeaway and a launderette. The heating works great- the bathroom is hot enough to dry any amount of wet ski gear. The shower seemed to have a never ending supply of hot water.
The Bad: The apartment is tired and needs some attention. The kitchen tap spout just fell off when we turned on the water. The owner wasn't particularly helpful and suggested using a knife to turn a small screw at the base of the tap. This just wasn't possible so we ended up using a medical dressing to tape the whole thing together. One of the cupboards had a roller-door that was stuck shut - reducing the amount of storage available There wasn't a sharp knife or bread knife, or a chopping board - which made food preparation tricky. Although the apartment rental cost includes 'cleaning' it really isn't that clean. When something rolled under one of the beds and needed retrieving, there was at least a seasons worth of dust and hair under there.
The small-print: I assumed bed linen was included in the rental - its not.... and the pillows are a weird square shape that don't fit UK pillow cases. The facilities list also stated 'Internet' was included - there is wifi internet but its a paid service, it's not included in the rental cost.
Overall, considering this was one of the cheaper apartments available, it wasn't horrendous. There were other options available in the Aiguille Grive 1,2 & 3 buildings for a bit more money that might prove to be more comfortable.
