Unser Mietwohnheim wurde komplett mit allen neuen Geräten komplett behindertengerecht umgebaut. Die Master-Suite verfügt über ein schönes Kingsize-Bett mit eigenem Bad und Flachbild-TV. Die zwei anderen Schlafzimmer haben Queen-Size-Betten in jedem Zimmer zusammen mit Flachbild-TVs in jedem Zimmer. Die zwei Schlafzimmer haben Zugang zu dem völlig behindertengerechten Badezimmer. Das Wohnzimmer hat einen 40 'Flachbild-TV montiert. Die Küche verfügt über einen Frühstücksbereich an einem Ende und einen Essbereich mit einem Esstisch für bis zu 8 Personen am anderen Ende. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und offen und damit Sie sich wie am Strand fühlen. Sie können auf der Veranda sitzen und genießen Sie die Schaukelstühle und hören Sie auf den Ozean und beobachten Sie, wie die Lieben zur gleichen Zeit über das Feld laufen. Wir haben viele schöne Palmen für Sie zu genießen. Wir haben einen privaten Boden Pool direkt im Hinterhof für Sie zu genießen. Ich wollte ein paar Neuigkeiten über den Geruch in unserem Wasser wegen des Brunnenwassers berichten, naja, gute Neuigkeiten, wir haben County Water jetzt bei uns zu Hause und keinen Geruch mehr in unserem Wasser!

Excellent Family Vacation

This has become our favorite place to stay when we come back to Carolina. Its so peaceful and secluded but just a short drive to the beach! Near all the stores and restaurants you need. The pool is perfect for the kids to cool down in.

There were no clean sheets and towels in the washer. I made sure everything was washed up for next person. But overall would stay there again. Just would like key code sent at 4pm. Did notget in house until an hr after we arrived

Great stay.

This was our second trip here. This one was better since they added WIFI. The pool was clean on arrival, and cleaned twice during the week. Owner stopped by to check if everything was ok. Overall a nice stay.

we have been staying here over the last several years, and have enjoyed it year after year. The property is well kept and the owner is on site if there are any issues, which there never are. Great place to stay, quiet and out of the way, but, very close to everything you might need. We will continue to stay here for years to come.

Summer 2023

We have stayed here several times over the years, and have enjoyed it. Of course you can tell the wear and tear of multiple people staying year after year, its not as new as fresh at when we started going, but, still very enjoyable. I do think that with the amount that I was charged for cleaning service, I would have expected much better cleaning to have been done. The vents were dirty and ceiling fans haven't been dusted in a while. And we did find dirty silverware in one of the dresser drawers. It would also be nice for the evenings if you could change the channel on the TV's and watch something other than Nickelodeon. All in all this is a great place to enjoy the beach and not have to deal with the crowds and noise at more crowded areas. we will always be looking to go back year after year.

I don’t need to title a property review.

We’ve been coming to this house every summer for years. It’s always been a great experience. You’re a short drive (maybe 4 minutes) to Holden Beach but you also get the serenity of a farm with pastures and horses grazing in the distance. It’s a very calm environment and perfect for a family. Having said that, this year was a bit different. The house was not ready at check in time. We had to wait another 45 minutes, at least, to check in. This caused frustration after a long drive (with children). I would also add that having to make our own beds seemed a bit off. There were clean sheets but only folded at the foot of each bed. The only other frustrations I can think of are that the trash can was full and not put out for pick up. This is not the fault of the property owner, but was an added frustration. And finally, there was a comforter on a bed that had what appeared to be bodily fluids and a discarded feminine hygiene product with it. This was missed by the cleaning crew. I know this all sounds bad, but the house itself has its charms. This was the one questionable experience we’ve had at this house after coming for years. I will say that the owner was out of town and trusting subcontractors to get things done. We will consider going back.

The Beach version of home

The inside was cozy and homey with a beachy twist. It wasn’t overly decorated to the point that it was tacky, but definitely had an east coast beach vibe. The outside was manicured well with pops of color and plants. We were mostly secluded from neighbors which helped us fully relax when being outside. The pool was always a comfortable temperature. It was never too cold or warm and was a great size for a little swim. The location was perfect with everything we needed, including the beach, a VERY short drive away. We would for sure come back to this house if we ever wanted another beach getaway.

A little bit of it all

It was our first time to the area and 100% plan to return. The home is far enough away but also close to everything, if there is "country" at the beach, this is it! We enjoyed watching the farm horses graze, saw a wild turkey and a deer on an evening ride along the coast line, 5 minutes from the house! The pool was wonderful after a day on the beach. The home and property were amazing, plenty of room and the open floor plan made us feel like we were always together, even in different rooms doing different things!

Perfect location in the country but minutes from the beach!

We loved our stay here. I grew up in this neighborhood and wanted to bring my kids back home for a vacation. The location was perfect with beautiful views of woods, fields, and pastures. Pool was an absolute hit for the whole family, we couldn't keep the kids out even on a colder day! Of course being so close to the beach and all the shops was perfect as well. We will definitely be returning!

absolutely LOVED this rental

This was our first family vacation ever. It was fantastic. Everything was perfect. The house, the pool, short drive to the beach, stores etc. super clean. You will need your own cleaning supplies and what not but there is a dollar tree right down for those needs. Elizabeth was very nice and takes amazing care of her rentals. 10/10 would recommend.

Incredible Property

Awesome house, location, pool was just wonderful after a very rough day on the beach. Mattresses need replacing. Didnt get much quality sleep. Toilet paper and paper towels had to be bought at store but overall great stay.

My husband and I decided to put our new rental home on VRBO because we have had very good experiences with renting through VRBO ourselves. We currently have another home we rent through VRBO in the mountains of North Carolina, but we do not manage that rental because we live here at Holden Beach. A rental agency handles that for us because of convenience. We live right here on the farm also. Our home sets back from the rental home behind the horse pasture. We love it here, I grew up here at Holden Beach and my husband grew up in Gastonia NC. He moved to Holden Beach about 13 years ago when we got married. Since then we have built our beautiful home here on the farm along with my family. We have horses along with my sons chickens and our family dog Boot's. I must say we do have the best of two worlds. It is peaceful back here on the farm with no traffic and not all the vacationers, but you can go just a minute away and be at the beach enjoying the beautiful ocean and all that comes with it.

Our farm is a family owned farm it has been in my family since the early 1900's. We have approximately 72 acres all together. My Mother and Father purchased this property from my father's heirs and me and my siblings have grown up here for the past 60 years. If you choose to come and stay with us at 'Holden Palms' you will definitely see why we have kept our farm as our little secret here at Holden Beach!
