Drei Schlafzimmer, ein Bad für sechs Personen. A Stone's Throw ist ein älteres Haus mit Charakter, das kürzlich aktualisiert wurde. Es gibt fast einen Hektar großen eingezäunten Hof, in dem Ihre Kinder und Haustiere spielen können, sowie schöne Außensitzecken, eine Feuerstelle und Picknicktische mit viel Schatten. Sie können Ihr Wohnmobil, Ihre Motorräder oder Fahrräder abstellen. Ein Carport und ein Schuppen sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Winken Sie den Nachbarn von der Veranda aus zu. Niemand ist ein Fremder in Rosman!

The house was absolutely delightful with everything we needed. The host communicated with me every step of the way and was oh so friendly. If ever I should go back I’d stay there again. The yard was perfect my dog to run and play and run some more. Definitely a terrific stay!

This home was very comfortable for a nice quality visit with my son in college. The house is clean and well stocked for our needs. Having the grill and large open back yard was nice! My daughter loved to go outside and sit and color, play, or run around.

Great yard!
Great house, well stocked with supplies. Coffee, dishes, appliances, detergent, clean towels and sheets. Comfortable beds, pillows, furniture, spacious dinning, openness of front area was nice, plenty of AC. Quiet neighborhood, I've been through Rosman several times but never stayed in town, I was pleased with the stay! Yard is excellent for pets, my dog enjoyed playing in the yard more than the hiking we did, haha! Owner was very nice, great communication. Easy access to the house, great location for exploring in Pisgah/Brevard or the opposite directions, Gorges State Park, SC parks. We hope to rent the home again!

We were looking for a reasonably priced place that we could bring our dog. The pictures do the inside justice. It's dated but that was expected. Nice fenced yard. There is an AC unit in the main family room and one of the back bedrooms. The main wall AC was broken when we got there so I don't know this for sure, but I can't imagine that the wall unit would cool the other 2 rooms very well. We cut our stay short because of the AC, however, they were in the process of fixing the AC. (It was just bad timing.) NOISE...There is a great deal of road noise on both sides of the home. Also, the football team practicing right across the street early in the morning (summer). If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not the place. Owners were great to work with and very responsive.

Third time staying probably would stay there again in the future.
Third time staying there.. first time staying in the summer. We normally visit the area in the fall to enjoy the foliage but this year we decided to go for some cooler temperatures. In the summer there's a lot to do swimming, tubing, & cruising the mountains... very enjoyable area to visit.

NIce place to stay to enjoy parks. We hiked Dupont, Pisgah, Gorge parks. The house was nice, clean , comfortable had everything we needed (I forgot creamer for my coffee and Debra had some there for guest to use ) We did bring our dog and the fenced in yard is wonderful for pets. Really enjoyed our stay.

Roomy house
Roomy house located around many waterfalls and hiking trails. Brevard, a quaint mountain city, just 10 mins away. Saw a white squirrel up a residential road behind the school in Rosman.

Was great until.....
It was all perfect until our last day. We were all standing on the porch talking about how it was such a great place to be staying. Perfect location and would be great to come again. Then 30 seconds later that all changed. The owner of the property showed up and accused us of breaching our contract. Which we had not done. She was very rude and attacked my character because I was not southern. Needless to say up until this point we had a wonderful stay . Unless you want to be giving the owner a rundown of your entire stay and list all the names of who is there at all times, including your dogs names, then I would not recommend this stay. We also had to wash every dish before using because there was droppings and it was quite dusty. Up until we were verbally attacked by the owner we were willing to just clean up and deal. But since she felt the need to be so rude I figure I will be honest. Offended in NY!!

Excellent hiker’s home base
This house was exactly what we needed to have an amazing summer in the mountains. The house was well stocked, clean and comfortable with a huge fenced backyard. The location was perfect for our hiking and waterfall adventures. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean
If you want away from the hustle and bustle, this is your place. House is older, but as described in listing. The yard was the main reason we chose this house. Fantastic large fenced yard for our dogs. House is between Brevard and Gorges State Park. Great location if you want to enjoy both areas.

Perfectly Located cute property
We chose this rental based on its location as my daughter lives less than 1 minute away and we were allowed to bring our 4 dogs. The home was very comfortable, well supplied and had a wonderful back yard. We definitely hope to rent again when schedules permit.

Perfect!
The backyard is huge and was perfect for our two dogs. The two dogs adjacent to the fence next door, even though large Rottweilers were friendly dogs that didn’t bother us at all they even seemed interested to play with our dogs. The owner was very communicative and made the check in check out process a breeze. I have to concur that the place was very clean! Pleasantly surprising as it still has that cabin like feel to the home. Many small details are thought of making it a nice stay. I will say I read someone else also complained of the pillows - I will confirm the property manager either bought you a new set of pancakes for pillows or they were not replaced… so bring your own if you can!

I loved the backyard. It was so huge!!! My dogs loved it also. Especially the dogs next door. It was funny watching them interact. The house was very clean and comfortable. The floors were amazing. I was concerned initially about the traffic but the house was very very quiet. There wasn't anything I could say that needs improvement. they even turned on the outside light when they knew I wouldn't be there until after dark Having the ability to watch TV w/o putting in my personal info was terrific! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Hopefully I will be in the area again so I can stay here again.

Debra was an amazing host and the house was cute and quaint. The area is very quiet and peaceful and all the amenities worked perfect. The house was very clean and ready for my arrival. Debra had great communication with me during my stay; always available to answer questions. Would rent again!

Great little getaway spot
Yard is huge and loads of space for kids and dog to run around. Quaint inside with many books and movies to choose from on a rainy day. The front porch is great for sitting and watching the kids play baseball, soccer or football across the street. The area is close to plenty of hiking and very close to the river to tube down.

My Mom, Martha Cramer, who was co-owner of the property, was born and raised in Transylvania County; but raised my sister and me in Fort Pierce, Florida. I lived there for 28 years, but loved coming to the mountains every summer to visit family and friends. Finally, in May of 1984, I moved here permanently, where I met my wonderful husband, Bill. I can't imagine living anywhere else ever again and love it here.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I knew the family that lived here before, and always waved to them on their front porch as I went by. The home we live in is up on a mountain at the dead end where we don't see any people -- just wildlife. So, I always thought it would be nice to live in Rosman, where I would know everyone.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

I love the front porch and the back yard. It is wonderful to sit outside and listen to the birds. Then, in the evenings, it is mesmerizing to watch the flames dance in the fire pit . I like that it is just 'a stone's throw' from the IGA store, the post office and Champion Park where everyone puts their kayaks, canoes and tubes in the French Broad River to spend a couple of hours or a day floating on the river. We are only 8 miles southwest of Brevard, and can be there in less than 15 minutes and be in the 'big city' of Asheville, NC in about 40 minutes.
