Malerische Sand Lake Getaway

Schöner Kurzurlaub in einer kürzlich renovierten Hütte am Seeufer, nur zwei Stunden von den Twin Cities in Cumberland, Wisconsin, entfernt.

Die Hütte ist nur 20 Schritte von einem 320 Hektar großen Quellwasser aus Sand Lake entfernt. Es ist 70 Fuß tief und eignet sich hervorragend zum Angeln, für Wassersportarten oder für eine entspannende Kanufahrt entlang der bewaldeten Küste.

Sand Lake liegt im Westen von Wisconsin, zehn Kilometer von Cumberland, Wisconsin, entfernt. Nur fünfzehn Meilen vom Rice Lake entfernt. 20 Meilen vom Turtle Lake Casino entfernt.

Diese Blockhütte befindet sich auf Seehöhe und verfügt über eine große Veranda mit Blick auf das Seeufer. Perfekt, um Seetaucher zu beobachten oder einfach nur nach einem Tag am See zu entspannen.

Zur Verfügung gestellt werden ein Dock, ein Fischerboot und ein Kanu.

Dieses Stück Himmel kann nach Woche, Sommersaison oder einem viertägigen Block in der Nebensaison gemietet werden.

Senior Sibling Retreat
We stayed last year and enjoyed it so returned. The cabin has been given a facelift and it was nice. It was much cleaner than last year. If you want an old time cabin experience this is it. There is lots of room and comfy beds. We’ll be back next year!

Cabin great pontoon and disconnected
Inside of cabin had been renovated over winter , Kayla , property mgr told us . It looked good . Old cabin but wood floors , Berber carpet . Basic and very clean . The pontoon is simply awesome whether you fish or not . It works great and so fun to just take cruise of lake . Only negative and maybe it really isn’t is that there is no WiFi . Also cell phone coverage is poor with 1 bar ( doesn’t matter provider ) if you stand on dock or go on road . It’s good to be disconnected but then again we wanted to test pics to families and friends and that wasn’t possibly . Can’t have it both ways !! It’s a great clean cabin . We took row boat out too for a night. Mosquitos abundant ! Bug spray works great though .

Our stay was perfect . The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Clean cabin, beautiful lake, great sunset and good location! Recommend for any kind of gathering!

A good time!
We caught a lot of fish. The grandkids had a lot of fun! Over all a nice rustic place. The air worked great. Could improve on the cleaning. The coffee pot still had the coffee grounds in it from the last guest.

Family Time
Other than having to clean the refrigerator and microwave it was heaven! There was plenty of room and comfortable seating. We certainly enjoyed fishing and even snorkeled in the clear water. We will be back! It was also very nice to have the air conditioning the last day when the smoke moved in from Canada. If you want a grandma/grandpa cabin this is it! Thanks Tom for sharing.

Shaky start
I think owner forgot we were coming. The cleaning person was given one hour notice. First guests of the season maybe. Mice had hickory nuts stored in the beds. Kitchen drawers full of mouse droppings. Stated the satellite tv was not working. After 3 days I looked into it and found the tv input just had a bad connection. The cabin itself is very nice with a great location. We caught enough fish for a meal and plenty to take home. Place just needed a good spring cleaning!!

Perfect Cabin
Cabin is rustic but clean and very functional, and has plenty of room. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need. We rented the pontoon and had no issues at all. Good fishing too. The communications with property manager were great he answered all questions promptly. I would recommend for sure!

Great time at SUNNY cottage!
Super happy to find a place that would host our family’s 3 dogs!...and they had a great time as we all did. Fishing was better than expected for August, especially the game fish (of a thousand casts ; )). Overall a wonderful week that went by way too fast!

Lake was nice but neighbors had growling dog
The lake was great but owners has house next to it that tenants had dog that was not on leash and came over and growled at us and barked. Also when we were at the dock for sunset they shot off extremely large fireworks that scared us all and caused my 15 month grand child to cry and 7year old to screem. They. Could have ear damage from it. For that reason my experience was bad

Week away
Overall we had a wonderful week at this cabin. We all had our own space, plenty of beds and a well stocked kitchen. Sand Lake is beautiful, very clean and clear, though weedy around the dock. We loved that there was air-conditioning! We were unaware that there would be no wi-fi or cellular access which caused some difficulty for the week. Two of the chairs at the fire pit were broken and one injured our granddaughter, luckily not too bad. We loved Cumberland and it served all of our needs during our stay, including an emergency eye doctor appointment. We enjoyed the public beach and sand volleyball court. Louie's had great meat options for grilling! Communication with owner was prompt but simple. He did meet our needs and responded quickly as needed.

Great time! Very nice roomy private location close to the lake! Caught bass off the dock using surface lures since pretty weedy. Nice sandy shallow area for little kids to swim! Option to rent pontoon was a plus!

Overall, it was a very nice little cabin. The original online listing didn’t show a big pontoon took up half of the dock, and that there is no longer a floating dock which was in a picture. That was a little disappointing. I tried to contact the property manager and the caretaker and neither one of them responded to me. Everyone had fun and it was really nice despite the fluctuation in weather. If it rained we played games and went fishing a lot, the water was still a little cold for swimming. It’s a very cute cabin, but I would suggest putting up a fence to hide the neighbors junk.

Relaxing Getaway
We had a very nice, relaxing time here, which is exactly what we were hoping for! The views of the lake from the porch were fantastic! The cabin was very spacious with plenty of seating areas. The table in the porch area was a favorite spot for snacks and games. We really appreciated that Tom got the lift and pontoon ready for us to use because that was the highlight of the weekend! Being on the lake was our happy place! Thank you for a great time!

Sitting in the enclosed porch drinking coffee and watching the otters play was a moment we will never forget. The dock in nice the water was beautiful and a sandy area to walk into the lake was great.
