Great unit

Furniture was excellent and king bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped with pots, pans, etc but was small to work in. Unit was very clean.

On the beach! Great view!

The unit was as depicted in the description and pictures. The view of the beach from the larger bedroom was spectacular, via either the window or the balcony door. Simiilarly, the beach view from the "living room" and balcony was also fantastic. The balcony was roomy and comfortable with two reclining lounge chairs plus a eating table with two chairs. There was a TV in every room with all cable channels. It was nice haviing two bathrooms -- HOWEVER, a big drawback for the bathroom off the main bedroom was the lack of a bathroom door! Our managment firm was excellent and responsive. The pool was in the parking lot, not a great view, but the water was clean and warm. The beach service with chairs and umbrella was accomondating. The building itself is showing its age and the exterior of the front door could certainly use a coat of paint. I would not hesitate to use Legacy again -- they are great.

Great View

Enjoyed the great gulf view and the location of Okaloosa Island. The included chair and umbrella service was a special bonus. Some of the furnishings are showing some age and where and tear, but overall, a very comfortable stay.

Not as expected

The view was spectacular, the inside not so much. In the master bedroom one window was slightly opened and I couldn’t close it and the others wouldn’t lock. The master shower, I couldn’t get it to work. The toilet tissue and paper towels were very low quality. Where the lock hinge is on the door was broke. Absolutely no air in the elevator. There wasn’t any condiments nor plastic wrap. The internet did not work properly

Needs a facelift

The location was great. The condo itself needs a lot of “facial” repairs, ie. Gouges in the wall, rotten woodwork, needs painting-especially the woodwork. Kitchen was very well supplied with everything you need. Couch had two broken springs and beds felt like we were sleeping in a hole. Despite all that we still enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues but they were quickly handled by management/owners.

$1000000 dollar view

This property is exactly as described. If you a no fuss, unbelievable view on a quiet beach this is it. If you wanting to be in center of action or looking for luxury this is not it. Its dated as described. But the view, the cleanliness and beach is second to none. One heads up, there is no bathroom door in the master. Its odd but doable.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good:Unbeatable viewPlenty of room for two. (It’s a two bedroom two bath unit so it can accommodate more but it would be cozy). We took advantage of the two bathrooms to spread out.Unit was clean.The pool is near the parking lot, not between the balcony and the beach as we have previously experienced. We appreciated the quiet and unimpeded view.The not so good:The front door is badly in need of a fresh coat of paint.No hair dryer.The kitchen is well equipped but there were no coffee filters. We bought some, and some sweetener, and gifted them to the next guests, paying it forward, so to speak.We rented chairs and an umbrella for five days at $40 per day. We discovered that chairs and umbrellas were included with the rent for some other units. We’ll seek out such an arrangement if we return to Emerald Towers West.We’re not too tech savvy, but we are generally capable of turning on a television. We couldn’t figure it out. It’s ironic since the unit had three televisions of varying sizes. Step by step instructions are needed.Restaurants are a short drive, but not walkable. Same for the Tom Thumb convenience store that you will surely frequent.

Just one problem

When you pay $2,600 for a week stay including a cleaning fee but there is no cleaning service during your stay and your asked to take out trash and do the dishes. I feel more should be offered in that area your on vacation don't get clean towels and rags have to wash it all this is included in every other place I have stayed.

Perfect Mother's Day Vacation

This condo was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our annual Mother's Day Beach Vacation. It's been a tradition since I was 10 years old and now I get to share these experiences and make more memories with my son. When my son and I walked into the condo, the beach and gulf view could be seen immediately from the front door. Absolutely gorgeous!!! The condo had a nice open concept from the entry through the kitchen, dining area and living room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and the master bedroom had the most breath taking view of the gulf. And the nights sitting on the balcony, watching the moon glisten on the gulf and listening to the waves breaking on the shore was so serene. It may not matter much to whomever reads this, but I wanted to mention that the dishware in this condo were the exact same ones as the ones I had growing up. The purple, blue and green floral dishware took me back, way back. My mom had picked them because they had all of our favorite colors. Hers was purple, mine blue and my brothers green. My mom passed away in 2020, losing her battle with cancer. When my son opened the cabinet to get a plate for dinner the first night, he gave it to me and I started happy crying, remembering my childhood, my mom. This was by far the best beach house I've rented and the best vacation my son and I had. The almost immediate access to the beach was perfect. And just a short 15 min drive to Destin Harbor for fun and adventure. I am very happy that we got the chance to stay in this condo. Thank you to the rental owenrs/ managers for a wonderful place to stay, while we made more memories.
