Good location
The property is divided to allow occupation by visitors as well as providing some accommodation for the owner; the nature of the dividing "wall" is unsatisfactory as it is made of undecorated chipboard which looks cheap and unattractive as well being inadequate to stop sound passing through as well as cooking smells from the owner's side.
While we were there we had no hot water for one day. At the time the owner's part of the property was occupied by three younger adults who we believe might have been from his family; we think that it was no coincidence that we had no hot water as we believe that the hot water cylinder situated in the visitor's part also feeds hot water to the owner's side. Further evidence of excessive usage of hot water by the owner's family is seen in the higher than expected cost of electricity paid by us. Our usage of hot water was minimal as there were only two of us staying although the property is designed to accommodate six. I did write two emails to the owner at the time that we had no hot water but we did not get any response nor was it mentioned by him when we left. We were informed when we arrived of an estimated cost of electricity, however the actual charge at the end of the holiday was double the estimate; this may have been due to the meter in our part of the property also covering the owner's part. It is also worth noting that while staying in another Interchalet property (MEQ 302) we paid significantly less for electricity for a similar period in spite of there being air conditioning which was operating continuously during very hot weather.
