Cute apartment in nice neighborhood
Loved this little apartment, it was perfect for my friend and I while we visited Germany for an international regatta. We were only 25 minutes from the regatta, while most of our club had to drive 45 minutes to an hour. The host was exceptionally helpful, and offered to pick us up from the airport, greeted us on our arrival, was very responsive when we had questions, and even shared some delicious tomatoes and a squash from his garden. The apartment was clean, neatly furnished and sits in a really quiet, nice neighborhood that sits near the lake, so beautiful to sit in the little Italian restaurant right on the lake, or take a stroll down the path that has stunning views of the lake as well as a nice restaurant and beer garden within walking distance from the VRBO. We found a couple of good tasty restaurants and grocery stores nearby. There is a train station very close so easy access to public transportation, although we had a car so did not use the train. There was no air conditioning (as is the case for most properties and hotels in Germany) so the host provided us with fans that kept the place very comfortable, but something to be thoughtful of as there is also no microwave so planning meals that don't require the use of the oven is helpful (if it's warm outside). We also tried packing light and just planned to do laundry while there, but there was no access to laundry close by, I think the host said it's about 20 minutes away. Overall, this was such a great find!!!
