Disappointed with El Mirlito
On arrival we were contacted by the owner/agent? The gates to the property were very stiff and difficult to open but we eventually managed. The house was clean, but shabby. The Windows in the salon/living room did not close. Bearing in mind this is March and it has been a wet couple of weeks previous to our stay, the house was very cold and damp. We had arrived after a seven hour journey and we were very tired. There was some firewood to light the fire but no firelighters or matches we were advised by the owner where we could purchase some urgent provisions and we returned to the house to light the fire we had been asked for a 300 deposit in case we damaged anything we thought that was a bit of a joke given that there was a massive scorch mark in the middle of the dining table and one of the dining chairs back was also broken. This was just one thing. If the owner takes a deposit which is non-returnable, why are these problems not addressed? The further problem was that it was very difficult to access the beach. It was only accessible via a steep path. advised the owner that we would only be staying one night. She said she fully understood and would get in touch with Vrbo to see if we could have a partial refund for the two nights we would no longer stay. 2 days later customer relation contact me to say the owner refused a refund as everything in the house was fine! To say we are dissatisfied is an understatement. we have photo evidence of the poor state of repairs
