Perfect place for a family holiday.

Pros: L'Ampolla itself is very quiet and becomes familiar in a couple of days. The downside is lack of big-box shops. However, the basics are easily found at Spar and Dia. There is a Lidl, 15 minutes drive away from the house. All beaches in town are great although a bit tight spatially if you consider them against sweeping beaches of the South or those around Tarragona. But very cosy. The best is Cap Roig. The house is huge in fact and very reasonably designed. Bedrooms well appointed and spacious. Recently updated kitchen with all necessary stuff in it. All amenities as advertised. All in all, beach living par excellence. All windows are equipped with mosquito screens, that are indispensable here. The pool opens up to a spectacular view of the sea. It's a bit on the deeper side but we didn't experience any troubles with our 1.5 year old. The town center in close proximity. Restaurants abound. Our favorite was steps away from the house, right on the beach. Hope to return to this place again.

When searching for a villa in Spain we had a set list of requirements:- minimum 4 beds, air conditio
Pros: When searching for a villa in Spain we had a set list of requirements:- minimum 4 beds, air conditioning, close to the beach, walking distance of a town, good sized swimming pool, BBQ. This villa met all of our requirements and we had a very enjoyable stay. The villa is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. The villa had 3 free standing fans which were much needed in the kitchen and in the communal areas as it was very hot. The town of L'Ampolla is lovely. Fairly quiet and most visitors seemed to be Spanish and French families. The restaurants are good and all within easy walking distance of the villa. We did BBQ quite often and the local Lidl (about 15 mins drive) was a great for all our shopping. One of the biggest plus points was being able to eat on the terrace every morning and evening and not get immediately surrounded by wasps (which has been our usual experience in the mediterranean) In summary we had a fabulous holiday where we all thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of a beautiful and well maintained villa.

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend this villa to other families. The villa is spacious, enabling you to be together but also allow privacy too. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped.The welcome pack with a complimentary bottle of wine was very much appreciated. The outdoor space is impressive and it was lovely to sit outside and see The Mediterranean. The villa does have three bathrooms each with a shower but only one could be used at a time due to the water pressure. We also had an issue with the electricity which regularly tripped but was easily switched back on. The WiFi signal was not always available. The air conditioning was fantastic in the bedrooms and very welcome. The pool was superb and we made full use of it. The pool man was very friendly and kept it spotlessly clean. It is worth noting the pool is deep and may not be suitable for Non-swimmers. The local area is great with lots of good bars and restaurants within walking distance.. You can go jet skiing, have a boat ride round the bay or visit the local nature reserve. Be aware there is a lot of mosquitoes, probably due to the rice paddy fields nearby; you will definitely need to wear repellent at all times. Kees, the host, is very friendly and easy to contact. Payments were easy. They were made by direct bank transfers, I was concerned but there were no issues. The agents are great and responded and resolved a problem we had very promptly. We have stayed at several rental properties and would rate this villa amongst the best.

Pros: Je ne trouve pas de recommandations à faire aux prioritaires pour améliorer la maison... c’était parfait. La maison, ses équipements, l’extérieur... tout est bien pensé pour passer de superbes vacances. Le quartier est très calme , c’est très agréable et reposant. La climatisation dans les chambres est très appréciable durant les périodes estivales. On s’est senti tellement bien à la maison que nous avions du mal à en sortir. Le centre ville de l’ampolla se situe à environ 1km , le trajet est très agréable à faire à pieds. C’est une petite ville sans trop de touristes et les plages ne sont pas bondées ce qui est assez appréciable.

Kitchen super stocked with enough of everything (all new!) you could ever need. Everything squeaky clean. Nice welcome and lovely owners. Fantastic pool with views of the sea and beach. Ampolla area is absolutely stunning. You really cannot go wrong with this property. We will go again. Children also loved it.

Pros: Een erg mooi huis dat er in het echt nog veel beter uitziet dan op de foto’s. Ontzettend veel ruimte zowel binnen als buiten. Buiten veel plekken waar je kan liggen en hangen zowel in de zon als in de schaduw. Ik kreeg het idee dat er over elke plek wel nagedacht is en het plaatje klopte volledig! Het strand in L’ampolla vond ik persoonlijk wel tegenvallen, het centrum daarentegen erg gezellig en een hoop restaurants. Al met al een prettige vakantie ervaren met 4 volwassenen en 5 kinderen tussen de 1 en 6 jaar.

Pros: Einen wunderbaren Urlaub mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern haben 2 Wochen wir trotz Corona-Einschränkungen in Katalonien in diesem wunderbaren Haus verbringen können. Das Haus und die Anlage bieten alles was man braucht und alles ist ausgestattet. Vor allem der große Pool war bei den Temperaturen immer gut besucht. Eine ruhige Gegend, kurze Entfernungen zum Meer/Strand, der Ort gemütlich zu Fuß erreichbar - was will man mehr ? Der Kontakt mit Familie Vissers-Rijken war jederzeit bestens und auch die Mitarbeiter der Agentur vor Ort waren sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder und nochmals vielen Dank für diese Erholsamen 2 Wochen in dieser oftmals unwirklichen Corona-Zeit !

Pros: Effectué hors saison, nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour au calme durant lequel nous avons pu profiter de la piscine de la villa, de la super terrasse couverte et protégée du vent, mais aussi des plages quasi-désertes. La villa est à distance de marche ddu centre de l'Ampola où se trouve le petite port de pèche, le marchand de poisson et tous les commerces nécessaires. La région offre également de nombreuses possibilités d'excursions variées. Nous avons notamment passé deux fort belles journées à Portaventura (Salou), situé à 45 minutes de l'Ampolla. Nombreuses possibilités également pour les golfeurs. Nous y retournerons.

Location: The property is located in a high class area of L'Ampolla not too far from the town cen
Pros: Location: The property is located in a high class area of L'Ampolla not too far from the town centre (There are some very nice villas in the Cap Roig area but Cap Roig is about 5 kms from the town centre with apparently no supermarket and only one restaurant) Nearest Restaurant/Bar : 150m (La Barraca) Nearest Beach : 300 m (Arenal)- Cap Roig is the nicest beach and is accessible by car. Nearest Supermarket : 1200m (Spar near the Marina, limited parking). There are two other supermarkets (Spar & Dia's) both located near to the Ajuntamenta with good car parking There is no large supermarket either in or near L'Ampolla. It is practical to stay in this property without a car, provided that you can carry the shopping. Accomodation : This is a very spacious property in very good condition with 10 proper beds for adults plus a cot for a small child. It is very suitable for either a large extended family or for two families sharing. The villa stands on a plot that is large enough to accomadate three smaller villas and it has a large grassed area suitable for small children. We brought a couple of cheap paddlling pools with us from the UK and put them on the grass and the kids ( 3 & 1-1/2) absolutely loved them. The property is fairly safe for small children and we used the TV room (which has a carpet) as a playroom. The WiFi connection is fairly reliable and seems to cover most of the property. Summary: A very large, very nice villa in a good location. Recommended.

Pros: This villa suited our family of 9 really well! It was spacious, well equipped and the outside space was great. The location is less than 2 mins walk from the sea and the nearest beach is about 5 mins away. There's a great fish restaurant at the bottom of the road and the village is about 20 mins walk. However, note that you are about 90 mins from Barcelona Airport and the Autopista will cost about 20 euros depending on the route you take. However, if you take the A-7 rather than the AP-7 it is free and not much longer The rooms are well laid out and feel comfortable and homely. All bedrooms are air conditioned. To be honest the weather and outside space was so good, we never used the sitting room or inside dining room. The seating area under the balcony is great but be aware in August it was a little hot out of the breeze. All windows and doors have fly screens. The barbecue area was also well used. The kitchen was well equipped with loads of plates and glasses. However, it would have been nice to have some salt and pepper as standard. Overall, a great stay.
