Unser Blockhaus liegt auf einem 15 "Höhepunkt mit Blick über schöne Alexander Sees und bietet 180-Grad-Panorama auf das Wasser.

Kathedrale Decken sowohl im Wohnzimmer und der Küche, jeder mit seinen eigenen herrlichen einheimischen Steinkamin, ergänzen die Schönheit dieser ruhigen Seeufer Wochenende.

Im Winter lassen Sie sich verwöhnen von nippte an einem heißen Kakao vor dem gemütlichen Kamin ein großes Buch lesen, oder wandern hinunter eine Landstraße an einem frostigen Morgen. Im Sommer genießen Sie Schwimmen, Bootfahren und Angeln direkt von Ihrem eigenen privaten Dock, wo Sie den ganzen Nachmittag bis zum Sonnenuntergang haben Sonne. Im Herbst Blick auf den spektakulären Herbstlaub direkt von Ihrem Esszimmer, während Sie den Blick über den See an der schönen Wechsel der Blätter, oder nehmen Sie eine landschaftlich reizvolle Fahrt auf einer der Landstraßen New England. Ganzjährig genießen Sie spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge.

Das Haus wurde komplett renoviert. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit Doppelbett und eines mit einem Full-Size-Bett, sowie ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet.

Die "ruhige Ecke" wird von vielen als neue Englands Antiquing Hauptstadt. Wir sind 40 Minuten nach Providence, 45 Minuten nach Hartford und 55 Minuten nach Boston. Mohegan Sun und Foxwood Casinos sind 30 Minuten entfernt.

This lovely and well-appointed lakeside cottage is located in what is known as Connecticut's Quiet Corner. And although the lake is lovely and motorboat and jet ski free/quiet, a busy street, freight trains, and a very close neighbor's a.c. are not!

Beautiful long weekend at the lake!

We loved this place!! Kids had a blast fishing on the row boat and using the kayaks. We swam and lounged all weekend while we were there for a wedding in Woodstock. The house is lovely and has everything you need. Very comfortable and cool. Thank you for the beautiful memories! Jane is a wonderful host and very responsive. Hope to visit again soon.

End of Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house over Labor Day and were able to completely relax the following week with good food and shopping nearby. We did find a bees nest under the deck when we got there, but after contacting Jane she had someone come out to deal with that issue and it was not a problem the rest of the week. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed everything about being on the water especially the use of kayaks and floats as it turned out to be a hot week! The sunsets were amazing as advertised and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely lake cottage with amazing views!

This lake cottage was perfect for our family of four for nearly two weeks this summer. By the end of our stay, the house truly felt like home. Jane was a wonderful host who was very responsive. The house itself is older and has some wear, but honestly this adds to its charm (save for a few issues that were promptly addressed). Our family also fell in love with Alexander Lake, and hope to return next summer. The lake is peaceful and wonderful for swimming and kayaking. The house has no AC but we were hardly ever without a wonderful breeze coming off the lake, and rarely got hot. The grill does need some attention- we could only ever get one burner to light which made it a bit hard to cook out. Overall, my only hesitation in writing this review is concern that the house will become harder and harder to book. We already plan on returning next summer. ❤️

Wonderful views and great property!

The property is right on the lake with stunning views from the dock and deck. Enough room for the whole family and access to kayaks which were great to explore the lake. It was a bit warm during our stay but the afternoon sun was blocked by all the surrounding trees. The owners were very responsive and accommodating for our stay. Highly recommend!

Great Cottage on Lovely Lake

The cottage is wonderful for hosting a few family members and friends and having a few sleep over. The outside could use a little TLC but the upkeep needed doesn't interfere with having a great time. The lake is beautiful as is the view of it from the cottage. It can be a bit noisy with the trains going by in the morning but they didn't run all day nor during the night. I'd definitely stay again.

Great place, spectacular view. Sunset right from the porch.

We stayed here to be closer to the Brimfield fair for four days and had a wonderful time. There was everything you need there. The host was very communicative and there’s a lot of places nearby for supplies. Ample parking and beautiful middle of the room gas fireplace.

Lake Getaway

We had a wonderfully cozy stay with a beautiful panoramic lake view that you can enjoy any time of day. The host was very nice to provide kayaks for us even though it was a bit too early in the season. Enjoying the lake from the water is one of our favorite memories. The interior of the house has a nice homey feel, and the central fireplace is a very interesting feature. It provides the heating for the house and is very easy to operate while still retaining the rustic charm. A great stay that we recommend!

Charming Lake House Getaway

Deck gets shade virtually all day so you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake, including the property’s dock. Exactly as pictured and described. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Easy highway access.

The fun, low-key escape we needed!

We had a wonderful visit in the lake house for a week and it provided us with a relaxing getaway from our home, which we haven’t left for over 5 months. Lake Alexander is super clear and we love that there aren’t any speedboats or other noisy watercraft. Jane was wonderful and reached out to us before and during our stay to ensure everything was going smoothly. We appreciated that the house was well-equipped and having a dishwasher was a real treat as we prepared most of our meals. The house has ample, and well-furnished living space which makes the occasional rainy times easy to handle. There is often a nice breeze and even hot days felt pleasant. We were able to keep the house comfortable without air conditioning with the help of the ceiling fans and open windows. Being directly on the water is amazing and makes it so easy to enjoy it throughout the day. We had fun exploring the lake in the kayaks. Having stores just 7-10 minutes away is convenient. Overall a great time!
