Historisch 106 Jahre. O. Triplex in Weststrand. Diese Hauptfront 1-BR-Einheit ist seit über 10 Jahren unser Zuhause. Es hat ein neu renoviertes Badezimmer mit Doppel-Waschbecken und Badewanne / Dusche und neu renovierte große Küche.
Zimmer mit hohen Decken mit komplizierten architektonischen Details und Einbauten; Feuerstellen in LR und BR; luxuriöses Kingsize-Bett im Haupt-BR und eine hochwertige amerikanische Polsterschlafcouch (Queen +) im LR. Neben der Veranda, kann man die Dachterrasse / Garten zum Wohnzimmer zugreifen.
Während einiger Jahreszeiten suchen wir verantwortliche Parteien interessiert in einem schönen, geräumigen Haus im Herzen von West Beach. Bitte kontaktieren Sie uns bezüglich der Verfügbarkeit.

Wonderful stay at Chapala Gardens

Great location, Great host. Great time. Stayed for 3 weeks, we returned our rental car after a couple days and walked or biked for 2 weeks. One block from the train station, one block to beach, three blocks to center of town. Wonderful restaurants and bars within easy walking distances. We had a great time exploring Santa Barbara.

Back again

My brother lives here in Santa Barbara and we always stay at Chapala Gardens when we visit him. Clean, spare unit with plenty of room and all the amenities. We love sitting on the spacious porch, enjoying the California sun.

Perfect Location

A short block to the beach, restaurants, Stearns Wharf and the Harbor, plus a wonderful rooftop garden, made it the perfect, charming place to stay. The hosts are available and amiable which makes it even nicer.

Charming place and perfect location

Walkable to everything - the harbor, the beach, the funk zone, State St., the train station, ect. The unit was very spacious and access to the rooftop garden was a cool perk!

The Rooftop Garden ROCKS

We loved our stay at Chapala Gardens. The location is perfect…close walk to the beach or State street. The accommodations were clean and as advertised. The rooftop garden stole the show. My wife and I ended up fixing dinner at home on 3 of our five nights because the rooftop was the best location in town. We also ate breakfast up there each morning. Sandy was an excellent host.

Nice stay

We enjoyed Sandy’s property and the location was perfect for our family. We biked or walked everywhere and the kids loved being so close to everything. It’s a charming place and the rooftop garden is very cool. Sandy was a great host.

Great family celebration and stay in Santa Barbara!

Excellent location and units in Santa Barbara! Sandy (host) was very communicative and helpful! We had a family dinner on the rooftop patio (our family had rented all three units) and Sandy offered tables, chairs, and other help to make it a great experience. The unit is very close to the beach and close to town center where some amazing restaurants and shops are.

Ideal SB Location

Wonderful place with charm, walk to beach, Jeannine's, Biergarten, Santa Mezcal, Brophy Bros! Short drive to Jaffurs for wine tasting and Barbareno for dinner. All great food and experience. Relaxing on porch watching dog walkers. Large bathroom and bedroom, 2 closets made it easy accommodations. Thank you!

Santa Barbara week stay

location was fantastic! close to water, Funk Zone and State Street. While we had a car... didn't need it or use it except for day trips. Beach chairs and towels very useful. Rooftop garden is lovely and while shared with other 2 units, was very private. Ability to grab some salad greens and herbs was a real bonus! We will definitely be back!

Chapala Gardens Experience

Sandy’s place was amazing. He is a great host and property is really nice. Location is unbelievable. Walking distance to all of the highlights Santa Barbara has to offer. State street, Funk Zone, Sterns Warf, The marina, all next door to you. Sandy’s place was really nice and clean, and he was so nice to make sure are check in process was easy and that we were comfortable. Really appreciate everything. I will most definitely stay here again if I’m in the Santa Barbara area.

Comfortable and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at Chapala Gardens. The weekend was unseasonably rainy and cold, so plans for biking and hiking shifted to local theater and use of the rain gear we smartly brought!. Gave us a good excuse to hunker down and enjoy the two fireplaces and covered porch. The location (and rental car) afforded us to either walk or to drive to our targeted activities. Quality and comfort - - - all the comforts of "home away from home". Our parade was definitely not rained on, just rerouted!

Great location

This is a great location, and it is an older house with character. The rooftop space is shared with the other two rental units. The stairs are accessible from the front porch, so you will have some people using your porch to get to the stairs. There is not a lot of privacy.

Ideally Located Beautiful West Beach Bungalow

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely 1 bedroom home. It was a pleasure to enjoy its esthetics, spaciousness, closeness to the beach, State St., The Moxi, restaurants, the harbor, train station. You do not need a car. Ideal location. An added plus is the lovely terrace with hydroponic farming, where we were able to enjoy evening meals and a glass of wine. The owner generously allowed us to harvest kale and lettuce - farm to table at its best. We created wonderful memories in this lovely setting.

Santa Barbara home

This is a great home for a getaway with family. We were able to have dinner and enjoy the evening. Just like being at home. So close to the beach and entertainment. We walked everywhere, so didn't rent a car. Lyft was cheaper than uber if we needed a ride. All the comfort of home. Our only issue was the deep tub. Getting into it at our age was a bit of a challenge. Would stay again without hesitation.

Chapala Garden

This is a lovely place, made especially beautiful by all of the flowers and plants that surround and are on the porch (huge yellow hibiscus, lots of succulents) and the rooftop. It is extremely convenient to lower State Street and the waterfront. On the downside, parking can be a bit tricky on weekends, as the area is so popular. And, the additional charge for using the sleeper sofa seemed excessive. However, I would certainly return here. It's an unusually convenient and beuatiful find.

We are relatively recent residents of Santa Barbara, having moved from the Sacramento area and Canada to here by 2008. We formerly occupied the front main unit of this beautiful tri-plex by the beach and oversee the property ourselves.

Our rooftop is a beautiful, demonstration aeroponic, soil-less vertical farm which is available to our guests for lounging, dining and just enjoying!

Health-conscious and fitness-oriented, our family enjoys beach volleyball, bicycling and running right here in West Beach with its nearby amenities. We also are pioneering a soil-less, vertical aeroponic Tower Garden farm on our rooftop.

We love sharing our love of this ideal neighborhood with our guests.
