Perfect Getaway

Sea Shell was the perfect getaway for me and my wife. It was beautifully furnished and decorated and had everything we needed. We walked to the beach from the house. Checkin was easy. We would definitely stay again.

Cute space, excellent location, would return

Cannot beat the location for walking distance from the beach! The space was clean, cute decor, surprisingly comfortable bed, kitchen was fine for what we needed (oven once, stove twice, great fridge/freezer), the bath towels are incredible lol. The listing said beach towels were included so we purposefully didn't bring any, but they don't have beach towels. I let the property manager know bc he was kind and communicated well after we arrived, and I think he's going to remove that from the listing. The TV isn't a smart TV so no streaming options. There wasn't a ton of communication prior to arrival, so I didn't know the manager was going to physically meet us to hand us actual keys. He didn't ask what time we were arriving and I didn't know to tell him, but it all worked out well. I thought there was going to be a door code in the app or something - nope! Handoff of real keys to the door. The best part was packing up the cooler and beach bag and carrying them across one parking lot and one street and then you're at the beach! The property manager graciously also let us have a later checkout because no one was arriving later that day. Great spot for a quick weekend getaway with my best friend, I would go back and book it again.

Excellent spot. Great hospitality!

The host Bill is very welcoming and gives out a ton of great information about the area and places to go. Lots of walkable restaurants and pubs. The place is so nicely done and very comfortable. A definite return visit for us will be in the works!

First time visit to Galveston

Loved this beautiful place. So comfortable and decorated so perfectly. The location was close to the beach and we were able to walk to a few great restaurants. The owner was so helpful with information about the island when we checked in. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back

Seashell house was very nice.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Seashell house! Beautifully decorated and very clean. Host was quite hospitable and offered some great suggestions for places to go and a little history too. The garden is also beautiful, and welcoming that it almost made us forget about the view of the back of a commercial building. Can’t see the beach from the condo but it was such a short walk and we were there in no time!! Not really windows in the property, but we would definitely still stay here again anyway-it was a great time and place!!

Relaxing Weekend

We loved are stay! Bill, the host was gracious and met us upon arrival. Easy check in and check out. The Seashell House is in a great location - walking distance to beach and restaurants. We highly recommend Guido’s, but be sure to make reservations on the weekend. You have an obstructed view of ocean from porch, but it is an easy walk to seawall and beach. Perfect for us! We didn’t have to pay for parking or drive to get to the beach. The place is beautifully decorated and had all that we needed. It even had a couple of beach chairs and an umbrella to borrow. We felt safe in this location and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Bill!

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful little cottage in Galveston Texas. Not even 100 feet from the beach. Quiet, clean, cool, and everything you need to have a super relaxing weekend. Bill the owner was so nice and helpful and had great knowledge of the town. We were sad to leave! We will definitely return!!!

Nice getaway

Nicely decorated. Not accommodating if planning on going to beach much. No place to hang wet swimsuits. TV did not work. Overall beautiful place very nicely situated for beach.

Lovely small home

This home is perfect for 1 or 2 people. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything you might need. It’s literally across the street from the beach. It’s a really quiet and serene place surrounded by great landscaping. So many pretty plants. The owner was easily accessible and made sure I had all I needed. Also very helpful with shopping and dining suggestions. I will definitely stay here again!

Tranquil / Comfy

Our VRBO rental. Very impressed! My husband and I traveled from East Texas for a weekend away for our birthday. The bed/pillows were so perfect and comfortable! The decor and art felt like a home away from home. So relaxing and completely tranquil. Had everything we needed for our stay. Also close to everything. We will definitely be back again! We plan on getting away more to the beach as we had the best stay and weekend. Thank you Bill!

Beautiful decor

This is a great rent for the price. It was so close to the beach. If view is what you are looking for then you may be disappointed. It was beautifully decorated. A little miss communication, host had gotten a new phone, but not a big deal. The reason for a four star rating on communication. Would recommend to others.

Cute, clean, comfortable and cozy!

Very good location, quiet and just a half block off the seawall! Everything we needed for a weeks stay AND included driveway parking. (Not always available in Galveston) Queen bed was comfortable but we prefer a king. Its the only critique I can come up with. Bill, thanks for everything! Definitely will stay again! Robb and Terry
