Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another winner from Elk Springs Resort! I've booked thru them about 6 times now between this and another cabin they have. There's a reason I don't switch it up. Consistency! Always excellent communication and ease dealing with Elk Springs Resort. The cabin was ready upon our arrival info Gatlinburg. Was clean and probably the best location you could ask for. Hidden right off the strip. This one was good because dog friendly. Loved sleeping in the loft with the morning sunshine. The fireplace is also always an added perk!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointing to say the least. Arrive d at rental, which was not in a very good locatio. One the side of a hill with one lane road and hard driveway to get into. Unit was cold, but fireplace was nice and warmed things up. Jacuzzi tub looked so nice in the ad, however, was upstairs and not in the master bedroom as indicate, so unable to use because could not climb all the steps. Even had steps to go into kitchen. Too many steps for someone who was unable to climb very many steps. Turned thermostat to heat and turned up to 75+ degrees which constantly blew cold air. Thanks goodness for fireplace and blankets. Then the next morning received winter weather warning for impending snow. This cabin was not located in a good area for ice and snow unless had 4-wheel drive, which we did not. Let service know of impending weather and lost two nights with no refund and no rain heck. Once again, disheartened and disappointment as we lost our money. We packed up and was out by check out time 10:00 a.m., so there less than 24 hours and lost our hard earned mone. Kept receiving emails and texts about enjoying out stay, which we kept explaining we had to leave.

The location just minutes to Gatlinburg & easy to Pigeon Forge could not have been better but felt like you were miles away. The bears!! Let's talk bears!! So many bears! Momma bears, baby bears, Pappa bears, in the van, on the van, on the deck, on the Rd, on the neighbors porch. Everyday, multiple times a day. Would definitely rent this cabin again!!

Lovely Gatlinburg stay!

Reviewer Comments: While we loved the location and the property was clean we had to go out and buy a few random staples that would be very convenient including salt and pepper, coffee filters, dish brush, a plug for the kitchen sink etc. The location was great and we absolutely loved how close we were to town without having to be right in town! We would recommend but wish we had been more aware of what would and wouldn't be provided. We were amazed at the amount of black bears in the area and very thankful for the precautions made. The porch is bear proof and there are plenty of bear safety signs throughout the cottage.

We enjoyed the privacy of the location .The second day we were there we were visited by the three bears. We enjoyed seeing them. We left them alone and they left us alone. They passed by and were definitely searching for food.

Bears and Peace

It was really fun to see so close in their natural environment. I wasn’t comfortable using hot tub. I wish the pool table were bigger and better kept. The darts were fun and an added surprise. Internet was great and we felt safe. I would not however go back with only two people. The price wasn’t worth it.

We did not use the second bedroom, but the bed in the loft was very hard. The windows in the front of the cabin were very dirty and somebody had written some words on them. the door was very hard to lock and unlock. Cabin could use some updates but other than that it was a nice day.

Cabin was dirty, found a cockroach, windows have writing on them from past guests (that’s how dirty they are) , hottub broken and leaking water onto deck making it slick , management knows about hottub but continues to rent out the cabin. We received a text as we were checking in letting us know the hottub was not usable and they were sorry but mentioned they already knew about the hottub and didn’t let us know before arriving...I’ve stayed with Elk Springs before and remember it being “luxury” , but not anymore. We will stay elsewhere on our next visit

One of the blankets that I pulled out to use smelled and had dog hair all over it (tht was not mine). The hot tub water was clean but everything around it was dated and gross (I have pics). The bathtub shower floor was stained brown, the tvs wouldn't work, everything was very dated and I wish I would have stayed at a regular hotel bc this was our anniversary and it wasn't what the pictures had led me to believe. The front door was so loose that all it would take is 1 kick and it's down. The porch is way overdo for a new one. The dart board is sad, everything was marked up and HEAVILY used. The beds are hard as a rock, literally slept better on that couch.... SO yeah not a great place for how much it was.

Cabin in Gatlinsburg

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was okay. The cabin needs to deep clean because there’s splatter on the bathroom wall and the mirror, too. The rugs in there are stinks. The bed upstairs needs new mattress because the mattress is outdated. It would be nice to have the roof over the hot tub because we couldn’t use it. Rain all weekend.
