The kitchen is fully stocked with anything and everything you could think of. The beds were comfortable and both bathrooms nice. We like to stay on the first floor since it has a laundry room and that was well organized and had any small details you may need. It accommodated our family nicely and I would love to stay again.

Wonderful Place
We had such a great time. The place was just as we expected. We loved they actually put some Christmas decorations up for the holiday. It made it very festive. The location was ideal. Just what we needed for a relaxed holiday. We would normally go to Sanibel but because of the hurricane it wasn't possible. We would consider coming back. The restaurants and beach where perfect.

PERFECTION
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this vacation! First of all, the beach is immaculate. There are virtually no waves, it's extremely shallow, and clear. It was perfect for my 1, 4, and 8 yr olds! Our condo was literal 20 steps from the sand! The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Beautiful landscaping, trees, and grass. Very well kept. All neighbors were so sweet! It was very quiet which we LOVED! There was a very spacious heated pool that was so relaxing and felt so good! Our condo itself was so updated and cute! I loved all the bright neutral colors! Beautiful kitchen, countertops and modern stainless steel appliances! The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfy! And I'm super picky and actually 6 months pregnant so that was a big plus! Plenty of extra pillows and soft blankets! We loved the flatscreen TV's with streaming services! My kids were able to watch all their normal shows! Couch and recliner was super comfy! We got Publix groceries delivered and it was so effortless and amazing! We Uber'd to nearby restaurants and nothing was more than 15 minutes away. Longboat key is seriously amazing and we've been all over Florida and Mexico and this is by far the best vacation we've ever had! So relaxing and easy with kids! Not crowded at all! Upscale and well kept community! I could go on and on! We will definitely be coming back next year!

Fun on the beach!

We had a lot to do between the beach (just a few minutes of a walk), Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Mote Marine Aquarium, and various places that we dined at! The beach was never very busy because it was a private beach. The unit itself had a lot of things in it to help your time be as smooth as possible. The only complaint that we had was that we did not know there is only one parking space per unit. It may have been in fine print somewhere, but we didn't know. We had two cars with us and were stressed out the first evening that our second car may not have a place to be for the weekend or may be towed. Fortunately, we were able to find a guest spot that night and got a second parking pass in the morning from the office. Aside from that, we had a great time and look forward to coming back to Sand Cay in the future!

Convenient and spacious but dated and needs a renovation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was the last one available for us to rent the weekend we were visiting, but the location was good, so we took a chance. First, the positives: convenient to the pool, first floor location, washer/dryer, decent kitchen, comfortable living room, large bedrooms with three queen/double beds. Now, the negatives: not very much natural light, very worn and dirty carpets, dated furniture, dishwasher was broken. Having rented other units at Sand Cay, I’m sorry to say this was definitely the least attractive and not the best value for our money. I think if the owner replaces the carpets and updates the bedrooms, it would more consistent with the other beautiful condos at Sand Cay.

Great Long Weekend Stay

The decor and furnishings are a little tired and dated, but the location of this unit is awesome. Being on the first floor we were able to sit on the back patio and watch the kids go to the pool or play shuffleboard. The beach was an easy walk. We never left to go anywhere else on the island during our time here. The "extended" bedrooms worked great for us because we had two kids in pack n plays and there was plenty of floor space to fit them in. The only minor problem we ran into was there was no DVD player to play the movies my older kids picked out from the front office. We would definitely return.

Nice but needs an upgrade
We have stayed at Sand Cay before and I would say our accommodations the last time were much nicer. This unit doesn't have a private outside area or a decent view. It had a very loud toilet, not the nicest carpet, and I would recommend a larger master bed. It did however work for our time there, as we spent most of our time outside. I am not complaining, but more recommending the owners do some upgrades for the money it costs to stay there. The people working at Sand Cay are outstanding to work with! The location to the beach is all that you could ever want.
