Maui Sunset ist ein fabelhaftes Anwesen am Meer in Kihei mit üppiger tropischer Landschaft, großem Pool, der in den Wintermonaten beheizt wird, Whirlpool, Gasgrill, Fitnessraum und Tennisplätzen am Strand. Gäste kehren Jahr für Jahr hierher zurück, was viel über dieses Hotel aussagt. Windsurfen, Wale beobachten, am Strand spazieren gehen und herrliche Sonnenuntergänge genießen.

Desk clerk's keys didn't work either, and maintenance could not open the door. RentalsMaui sent over a person who finally had keys that we could use. WHEW Unit was the best supplied unit we have ever rented (kitchen supplies, etc) TV cable/remote was not easy to use.

Very good place to stay

Lawn maintenance is always on going and well taken care of. They had items left in the condo for guests. Scuba gear, coolers, chairs and ect. Overall good experience. I have a maintenance background, fixed the garbage disposal that wasn't working and lint trap on dryer was full. No big deal, well worth the trade off for the extra items they had. Thank you

They have everything ready for you. I never saw any bugs or critters. All the employees were polite and helpful, especially the girl at the front desk! One thing that I specially loved was the possibility of donating our left over perishables to the local homeless, we had some leftover fruits and vegetables and we did not want to toss them, because we knew someone could use them, so that option made Maui Sunset the best!

Lovely property, good location

Good value for the price point. Stayed here as a couple with 3 young adult sons all over 6 ft tall. Was definitely a tight fit, the hide-a-bed is closer to a double bed size than a queen. Would suggest staying with 5 people only if some were kids.All appliances worked well, plenty of pots, pans, cups, cutlery, etc. In-house laundry was very nice and worked well.Bedroom is a nice size, bathrooms were small and the bathroom in the bedroom is little dated but rest of condo was clearly updated in recent years.View from lanai onto grounds was beautiful with a glimpse of the ocean, however, the sun shines on this side of the building from morning until sundown so I found it too hot to spend more than a few minutes on the lanai - depends if you are a sunlover or appreciate some shade. The other side of the building had shade all day. Pool area is nice and was well kept. Only one umbrella table at pool so again no shade by the pool.Nice and quiet property overall, felt very safe the whole time. Air conditioning worked very well in bedroom, not as effective in living room but still cooled enough to sleep. Beach is beautiful for a walk and watching sunset. Beach right in in front of Maui Sunset has a some washed up (hardened) coral so you will likely require aqua socks to go in water here and have to keep an eye out for rocks when walking on beach with bare feet but still very beautiful beach just not really a swimming or boogie boarding beach. Beach gets quite nice though a very short walk along the beach to the south with lots of turtles regularly in the water.Overall it was a great place and a wonderful stay.

Great Vacation! Enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property description is accurate. Beautiful outdoor areas with picnic tables, BBQ’s , Tennis courts and shuffle board. On the pool deck you can get access to this equipment for free. This is one of the best stocked condo units with everything you need. Unit was clean. A sofa pull out was more like a double and there was a comfy daybed. Two bathrooms with teenagers was a bonus and even though it was the smallest bathroom I have seen they made it work. Bathroom in main bedroom dated but clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. The microwave did not work but one text to Rentals Maui and they brought us a microwave to use until a repair person can have a look at it. Unit is equipped with boogie boards, beach umbrella , coolers , beach towels , etc. There was 4 beach chairs in the unit but one of them was broken and not useable. Needs to be replaced. The lanai was on the sunny side so it was great to hang out your towels and suits which allowed them to dry quickly. I noticed this lanai had no light. All other units had a light and some even had fans on the lanai. Hard to use once the sun goes down with no lights. Unit has A/C. Not as effective in main living area. Washer and Dryer worked very well. The pool is very clean and refreshing. The pool loungers looked new. Was lovely to hang out and watch the sunset from the pool. Kudos to the grounds and pool crew at Maui Sunset for a well maintained property ! Parking at the complex was never an issue. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shops you might want to stay further south towards the Kam beaches. We had rented a car so it didn’t bother us to be a bit further away. You can walk to Safeway in 15 -20 min. Recommendations : Po'olenalena Beach ( turtle beach ), Keawakapu Beach, Ulua Beach ( busier with resorts but good snorkel and swimming) , Kam 2 .
