Das Red Cottage befindet sich gleich zwischen der Innenstadt von Black Mountain und den Toren von Montreat! Asheville ist nur 15 Meilen entfernt mit leichtem Zugang auf der I-40.

Unser Ferienhaus wurde sorgfältig renoviert und mit Kiefernholzböden ausgestattet. Es ist geschmackvoll mit Werken lokaler Künstler dekoriert.

Die große Küche verfügt über alle neuen Whirlpool-Geräte aus Edelstahl und ist komplett ausgestattet für alle Ihre Koch-und Essbedürfnisse. Mahagoni dropleaf Esstisch und Service-Einstellung für 8.

Platz für 6 Personen. Zwei Schlafzimmer mit Queen-Size-Matratzen; ein zusätzliches Zimmer Daybed & Pull-out trundle mit Premium-Matratzen. Alle Betten sind mit Patchwork-Steppdecken, Bettdecken, Decken und Bettwäsche in Hotelqualität ausgestattet (zusätzliche Bettwäsche für Langzeitgäste). Die Schlafzimmer und das Gästezimmer verfügen über Akzentteppiche, antike Kommoden, Lampen im Tiffany-Stil, Deckenventilatoren und Nachttische.

Zwei komplette Badezimmer mit Toilettenartikeln und Premium-Bettwäsche; Waschmaschine, Trockner und Bügelbrett auf dem Gelände.

Master-Schlafzimmer und Gästezimmer sind mit an der Wand montierten 40 'Samsung HDTV ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen 50-Zoll-Samsung-HD-Fernseher mit Soundbar, eine kleine DVD-Bibliothek, eine Schlafsofa aus Memory-Schaum in Originalgröße, einen Lazy Boy-Sessel, eine antike Wippe, Teppiche mit großem Akzent und einen Kaffeetisch.

Special Stay at The Red Cottage!

This is the most comfortable and well stocked vacation home we've stayed in! It's cozy and much thought went into details that made us feel special. The home is one level which was handy and the covered front porch was a great place to relax. We esp liked that the yard was fenced since we took our dog. We're looking forward to going back! Fun getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Black Mountain so much. The Red Cottage is perfectly located for a walk into town, a walk to the pool or lake or a quick drive to Asheville and beautiful local hikes. Reluctant to Leave!

Our stay at the Red Cottage was beyond expectations, but exactly as wonderful as Monica and John promised. There was every single comfort possible in this adorable, accessible, beautifully decorated, lovingly shared home. Every possible need was covered, down to the “Oh I forgot to bring a…OH there is one here!” All went well and the front porch with rockers capped off the quaint enjoyment of the Red Cottage. Monica and John communicated with me at every turn and gave perfect instructions. An added bonus was meeting a very sweet neighbor who made us feel right welcome!

Great Location

This cottage had everything you could need. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the porch was wonderful. We would recommend this spot and stay again if passing through. Lake Tomahawk and Montreat are both less than 2 miles (in different directions) and great places to walk.

True as advertised

We left the frozen North, in mid January, to make Red Cottage our home for 61 days exactly, Check in process was seamless. There was everything in the cottage, that we needed for a long stay. there was even dog treats for our small Bichon Poodle. Yard has some fall leaves, that our pet did not like, mentioned that to Monica, and she sent a contractor who cleaned up in o time. Small boutiques , in black mountains are nice place to shop and near by cafes are nice touch. Over all it was an excellent getaway for us to beat the winter Blahs.

A red gem in Black Mountain

Such an adorable cottage that has everything needed plus some extras. The front porch rockers were a treat on sunny days, the kitchen has everything you will need, the whole place is so clean and comfy, and the hosts were great on communication. Wonderful Two Weeks at the Little Red Cottage

What a cozy home in beautiful Black Mountain! Perfect location to walk to downtown or to Montreat for strolls around Lake Susan. Monica was such a wonderful and responsive host. She even came by to ensure we had everything we needed for our visit from our grandson during the stay, providing a pack & play, high chair, linens and even safety outlet covers. While she was there she noticed an issue with a broken gate from a previous guest and quickly ran to the hardware store and replaced it so our dog would have use of the lawn. I haven’t ever had such a responsive host. Thank you, Monica & Jon, for sharing your wonderful little cottage with us!

Beautiful Cottage with all modern updates. Fully equipped kitchen with top of the line kitchenware. Super comfortable queen bed. Two full bathrooms. Air-conditioned. Best of all, dog friendly. Black Mountain is as delightful town: walkable, great restaurants and dog-friendly. A perfect home for an extended stay. This is our second stay and we will be back next year. Always a great time!

This is our second trip to Black Mountain staying at the Red Cottage. The location is excellent and close to Black Mountain which is a beautiful small town. The cottage itself is very spacious, very clean, and we liked the little touches of snacks and drinks stocked when we arrived. Communication with the owner was fabulous with several instances where we needed to coordinate or confirm items. Red cottages now a "family favorite" for visiting our relatives in black mountain area. Can't wait to visit again.

Before moving to Black Mountain we spent many vacations and long weekends sightseeing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping (a nudge for all you climbers, hikers, and bikers). We loved the area so much that we decided to move to Black Mountain when our daughter started kindergarten.

Twenty-eight years later our daughter has completed graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill and we are still in awe with the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the seasonal climate, entertainment, special events, and countless sightseeing attractions.

After months of searching for the perfect vacation rental property in Black Mountain we came across this beautiful 1920 red cedar siding cottage (hence, The Red Cottage). Its large front porch is set back from an old weeping-willow and a spectacular hickory nut shade tree. It was love at first sight!

Since 2014 we have owned/operated The Red Cottage and we personally serve as your hosts. Our goal is to exceed your needs and expectations!

The Red Cottage is located equally between the towns of Black Mountain and Montreat. Less than 1 mile in either direction you will find many attractions that are normally featured in larger cities.

Downtown Black Mountain has outstanding gift shops, restaurants, taverns, a Farmers Market, sweets, coffee shops, and much, much more. Within a short distance, you will find the Black Mountain Golf Course and mini golf for kids of all ages. Lake Tomahawk has an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, croquet court, free concerts, and a facility that can be rented for private events. Montreat College is an independent, Christian based 4-year liberal arts school and their Conference Center hosts religious conferences throughout the year. Montreat also has great hiking/biking trails, creeks, and preserved woodland areas for your outdoor fun.

There are churches of various denominations that are just a short walk from The Red Cottage.

Visit during the fall and take your car, motorcycle, or bicycle along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The spectacular views, waterfalls, and brilliant colors of the falls leaves are sights that you wouldn't want to miss out on!

If you choose to venture out for the big city, historical Asheville is just 15 miles west on I-40! Asheville also offers many attractions -The Arboretum, Biltmore House, Thomas Wolfe Center, Civic Center, River Arts District, museum, playhouses, shopping malls... The 'Drum Circle' and 'Friday-After-5' are annual family events in downtown Asheville during the late spring and summer months. Specialty shops and breweries are plentiful.

For outdoor adventures, we have countless hiking and biking trails, rock climbing, and skiing. Nearby ziplines, paddling, camping, fishing, WNC Nature Center... The list goes on & on! We will have lots of information and brochures available to you!
