Great For an Extended Family Retreat

This was the second time staying on this lake and was a fabulous upgrade! From the very first communication with the owner, Nancy, we were taken care of with all of our questions. We found the Bunkroom extremely useful with our group of rowdy boys. Also, the amenities outside were more than ample to satisfy the most adventurist of the group. The firepit was a huge draw every night, and the dock was a great platform for all of our water activities. We rented a pontoon and transported it to the lake to give us lots of time exploring and fishing. The property was very quiet to provide the best relaxation possible. Wynne Lake has so much to offer with the ski hill, trails for days, and of course the fishing. We had very good luck this trip and all of the boys caught many fish. It will be hard not to pick this location again next time and we look forward to working with Nancy and her fantastic home again soon.

The beautiful property was exactly as shown and expected for our stay. Very accommodating and owners communication is great. We had fun snowmobiling right from the backyard to the trails and even enjoyed a bonfire in the backyard. Giants Ridge for skiiing was right across the lake and a few minutes drive away. Location is great for those activities and i'm sure the Summer and Fall months have just as much for entertainment with off-road fun nearby. We would recommend this cabin property for a large group to spend quality time together!

We spent two straight years at Fairway Ridge for an annual golf getaway and the place is everything that is advertised. Incredibly clean and well stocked and working with Nancy is a pleasure. The bunk room makes it great for either a good sized group of friends or two or three families getting together any time of year.

Simply the Best!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was by far the best VRBO rental we’ve stayed at! We didn’t want to leave. Nancy couldn’t have been nicer or more hospitable. She responded quickly with any questions we had. The house and property were stunning. There’s so much to see and do. We took advantage of nearby Giant’s Ridge and went hiking, ate at the local restaurant and went rock climbing. We felt like we had the lake to ourselves. We spent the afternoons swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. Nighttime was perfect to relax by the fire, eat outside and enjoy the views of the sunset. Sleeping accommodations were perfect for our large group (15)- beds comfortable, plenty of bathroom options and the bunk room was a hit for the kids!!! It was hard to leave and we can’t wait to come back. I’d also love to rent in the winter to take advantage of local skiing, snowmobiling and other outdoor fun. Thank you, Nancy - we had an amazing and memorable family weekend getaway thanks to your generousity!!!

First VRBO / Cabin rental

We were floored by this property! It was a first for our party of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids). Beautiful in EVERY way, gorgeous decor, everything one would need. Beautiful views and sunsets, so many laughs around the fire pit and nearly immediate responses to the few questions we had for Nancy. This VRBO stay will be very very hard to beat. We were all first time Biwabik visitors and it is a cute little town with grocery, liquor, gas...whatever you need. Ecstatic about our stay and the wonderful memories made. THANK YOU Nancy & Todd!

Awesome home makes for an awesome vacation!

I couldn’t recommend a home more highly than Fisher’s Retreat! Nancy and Todd Fisher are great to work with and provide for your every need during your stay! The kitchen isn’t just filled with every cooking utensil you need, but also contains most kitchen staples such as coffee, crackers, snacks etc. The bedrooms are perfect! There is a luxurious master with unbelievable master bath on the first floor along with another half-bath. Upstairs is a bunk room and 2 more bedrooms with baths. The views from the floor to ceiling windows in the great room will forever remain in your mind. This is our second year spending time at the Fisher Retreat and hope to go back again next year!

Beautiful home with lovely amenities on lakeshore.

Nice layout for our family group. Many interesting activities in the area. It was a great long weekend get away! We had fires at the fire pit, my son and grandchildren fished off the dock. The kids swam at the Lodge and we all played card games and enjoyed cooking together in the well appointed kitchen. Nice fall walks along the area trails. The owner was available and communicative.

Gorgeous house, gorgeous location

We had 3 families w 15 total people at the property. We loved our stay. We had everything we needed (except roasting sticks) and all the linens and towels were high quality. It’s on Wynne lake with a floating dock off which we spent many hours swimming. It does get deep quickly, but our kids, aged 7-13, liked being able to dive off the dock - would not be ideal for non-swimmers/waders. The water is colored like iced tea (due to the iron in the area) - which was new to us but didn’t bother us at all. It was fun to use the kayaks and paddle boat at the property. We also ventured down to the beach just up the road and had the whole lake to ourselves on Friday. Very little traffic on the lake especially during the week. So, you can see we utilized the lake and loved it - we tried fishing, but had no luck. The house was stocked with DVDs and the kids loved the bunk room where they all got to stay together and we loved that each of the parents got their own rooms too. It’s near two awesome golf courses and the Mesabi Trail - the weather was too perfect for swimming that we didn’t get to the trail much. Really loved our stay!

Growing up on the Iron Range gave me such a special appreciation of northeastern MN. To me 'the cabin' means a forest setting, rocks, pines, crisp clean waters. Todd had been to the area several times growing up and had also come to love the unique look and small town feel of this fabulous corner of the state. We currently live in the twin cities area but return to our favorite place every chance we have.

The beauty of spring and fall hikes, biking The Mesabi Trail, cruising the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area on our ATVs, skiing, snowboarding or cross country skiing Giant's Ridge or making use of the thousands of miles of groomed snowmobile trails... the options are endless. With fabulous fishing, amazing scenery and countless places to see and explore, we knew Voyageurs Retreat at Giant's Ridge was the perfect place for us to build our vacation home. Fairway Ridge was custom designed by Todd to be a family friendly vacation home that would be loved by all. One of our favorite features is the slab-on-grade design which allows for a direct walkout from the main level to the back patio. This walkout from the dining room and the home's open-concept floor plan make for a huge entertainment area that is exceptional for large gatherings and so convenient for even a party of 2.
