Unser „Sweet Retreat“ wurde liebevoll renoviert, um den perfekten Rückzugsort für Sie und jeden zu schaffen, der das Privileg hat, mit Ihnen zu fliehen. Wir befinden uns 9 Häuser vom Strand entfernt, wo Sie ruhiges, ruhiges Wasser finden werden. Dies macht es zu einem idealen Ort für Ihre Kleinen und zu einem ruhigen Spaziergang am Strand bei Sonnenuntergang. Nach Ihrem Aufenthalt am Strand können Sie einen Spaziergang durch die charmante Innenstadt von Cape Charles unternehmen (zum Abendessen, zum Kauf Ihres Urlaubs-Souvenirs und zum Verweilen im Süßwarenladen).
Unser Haus verfügt über 3600 Quadratmeter Fläche für Sie und Ihre Gruppe, um sich zwischen Strandausflügen, Radtouren und leckerer Küche auszuruhen. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über zwei Wohnbereiche, ein großes Esszimmer und eine voll ausgestattete Küche für Ihre Gruppenmahlzeiten, ½ Bad, Waschküche und ein kleines Spielzimmer mit einem Tischkicker. Im 2. Stock des Haupthauses befinden sich 3 Schlafzimmer (2 King und 1 Queen - alle brandneu), jedes mit eigenem Bad. Die 3. Etage ist perfekt für alle Kinder eingerichtet. Im hinteren Teil des Hauses im 2. Stock gibt es zwei Schlafzimmer (1 Queen- und 1 Full Size Bunkbed) und ein gemeinsames Badezimmer. Eine neue Außendusche wurde in diesem Frühjahr (2019) hinzugefügt. Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme sind vorhanden. (8 Stühle & 2 Sonnenschirme)

Christmas get away

We enjoyed the town, location of home and family time. Thank you for allowing us to stay. The big dining room table was perfect for us. Having two living rooms also worked well for our family. Every room having their own ac/heat was a wonderful addition to meeting our needs. Cape Charles is surely a place to come back and visit!

A great family getaway!

We had 3 generations under 1 roof for Thanksgiving and this house held us all beautifully! It's in a fantastic location to the shops and the beach. The new dual oven is very nice to cook in and lots of counterspace. The owners were very nice and even offered us an early checkin.

Sweet Retreat is Sweet!

House was perfect for our three family vaca. Ages ranging from 72 to 22 months. Very well stocked, even with things we aren't used to seeing in a rental! Beds were comfy, rooms were great size and the extra fridge came in handy. Would recommend this house to everyone! We love Cape Charles and loved staying at Sweet Retreat!

Perfect House for Our Group of 8 Ladies

Everyone loved the house. It is charming and in a wonderful area not far from the beach. We would come back! The only issues we had were minor. First, there is very little closet space that isn't locked. Second, the top (3rd floor) bedroom had flimsy mattresses. Because only 2 of us were up there, we doubled up the mattresses and it worked out fine. Additionally, there was no body wash or soap up there in that room. We'd say that room is best for children. There are 3 beds with trundles beneath them. But, again, these were minor issues, and we still give the house top ratings and would come back.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for our 3 families. We had 5 kids ages 1-5 and the house had everything we needed. It was a very short walk to the beach, and a short walk to the Main Street and playground. The house was clean when we arrived and the hosts were quick to respond for any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity!

Perfect for families with kids

We loved the beautiful, old house with all of the necessary modern conveniences. Plenty of space for multi family, multi generation comfort. Evenings on the front porch were magical and we loved being able to walk to the beach. Perfect vacation ♥️

Great besties vacation

We had 7 adults and 4 children (ages 4 - 8), the house was perfect!! It’s such a cool old house. Everyone had their own bed and bathroom! This was our third year vacationing at Cape Charles and the first time we were out of the gated neighborhood. We rented golf carts and since we were so close to everything, it took no time to get to where we wanted to go, beach, play ground, brewery, ice cream, all the fun places. We did reach out to the owners once about extra blankets and cornhole bags, they responded really quickly and got us what we needed within a few hours. This was one of the few houses that had parking in the back off the alley, which was perfect, since we had 4 vehicles. The house has everything you need, except beach towels, don’t forget those like I did. LOL We did a lot of front porch sitting, set up the cornhole boards in the front yard, kids had fun playing on the foosball table, cooked lots of great meals in the kitchen and ate together in the huge dining room, played games and hung out in the comfy living rooms. I hope your group has as much fun as we did!!

Another Outstanding Stay at a Dail property in Cape Charles

This is our third stay with the Dail family at one of their Cape Charles properties. All stays have been rated 5 stars and this most recent stay was no different. We do not bother looking at other rentals as this owner is consistently in communication prior to the visit, always has a very clean house, and is easily accessible if needed during the stay. I have no negative comments and encourage you to rent one of the Dail properties. You will not be disappointed, they are top notch.

We loved it from the moment that we entered.

My husband and I were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. Your home allowed our entire family minus one grandchild to be together. The front porch was in constant use and the location gave everyone the freedom to do what they pleased. The week was almost perfect.

Best Beach for Toddlers

Sweet Retreat is the perfect house for families with children. It is very kid friendly and has plenty of space. My 3 year old grandson loved the bedroom on the third floor since it had a "secret passageway." The beds and furnishings were very comfortable. It was nice having 2 living areas since my son-in-law had to work from home a few days. This house is ideally located near the beach and park. It is definitely a "Sweet Retreat!"

Girls Trip

We loved our stay in Cape Charles and the house was amazing! We were on our annual family girls trip, but unfortunately half of our group had to stay home due to illness. We were still able to enjoy a quiet getaway and all of the local attractions. We can’t wait to return with the rest of our group.

Family Thanksgiving

Although we were not able to spend as much time outside as we had hoped, the inside of this house was so comfortable that we relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanksgiving dinner, games around the table, Christmas cookie baking, and so much more. Thank you to everyone involved who made our stay exceptional. We are already looking forward to future visits.

Annual Trip to CC

We take an annual trip to CC and this is the second time we have stayed in this home and we were not disappointed! It’s a great house, plenty of room for two to three families to spread out, close to the beach and town, well stocked with everything you need. We will definitely rebook in the future!
