Wonderful stay in a nice area

We loved the house, and the pool and outside area are just wonderful. I relaxed every afternoon for a few hours by the pool. The house itself is old but cozy and comfortable and has everything you need. Silvia is a great hostess and easy to reach if you need advice. We felt very welcome and at home. We definetely will come back next year. I believe because it is not a new house it has great advantages. The way it is built, you can open the windows, the sun doesn't get in (insect screen on every window) and we never had to use the air con. The wooden floors are warm and comfortable and nice looking. The coffee maker (Keurig)made great coffee for us in dem morning and dishwasher and washing machine and dryer worked like a charm. The only downside is a very small bathroom, where you don't have much space over the washing basin. The shower is big enough. There is a second bathroom, but it is located outside the house in the same small building where the laundry is. So if you are more than 2 people you should be prepared. For us it idn't pose a problem. And one more thing: our little dog, Honey the poodle, loved the garden and could run around with no chance of getting out into the street. The area of West Palm Beach is very nice with lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops and parks for walking. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Schöne Außenanlage

Schöne Pool- und Außenanlage , Geräumige Zimmer , nette Vermieterin die uns sogar kostenlos ein Navi zur Verfügung gestellt hat . Sanitäranlagen etwas beengt . Vielleicht könnte bei der Sauberkeit der Räumlichkeiten etwas mehr Wert eingeräumt werden . Was Nachts gestört hat sind vorbeifahrende und laut signalisierende Züge .

Perfect cottage getaway

We were in town to watch Spring Training, and this was a perfect rental for our family of four. Each of our kids had their own bedroom, and we spent a lot of time in the pool and enjoying the back yard. It's a very cozy house, and we loved that there were even sand toys and boogie boards we could take to the beach.

Amazing Trip!

This sweet little house had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked, very clean, comfortable beds and couches. Our kids, (7yo) had a blast in the pool with all the great pool toys and enjoyed taking the beach toys, big towels, and boogie boards with us on beach days. Silvia was extremely generous and attentive - always available if there was any needs we had. Great place!

La cours est vraiment belle, la piscine très chaude

L'extérieur est vraiment l’atout: magnifique piscine très chaude, beaucoup de végétation, intime et équipé. Maison et mobilier modeste, mais il y avait tout:vaisselle, épices, condiments, literie, chaises et parasol de plage, savons… tout! J’aurais apprécié un matelas plus confortable et un lit qui ne craque pas. L’endroit est bien situé par rapport à la ville, mais particulièrement bruyant. Beaucoup de poussière sur les moustiquaires, ma fille a eu des réactions allergiques sévères, nous avons su partir plus tôt. Réponse très rapide de l’hôte suite à un problème de serrure. Je recommande.

Nice cottage

The cottage was very comfortable. Beds gave a good night's sleep and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Outside was very spacious with a heated pool, two picnic tables with chairs and lounges. Silvia, the owner, was wonderful. Communications was swift and detailed. Had a nice stay.

Quick vacation to West Palm Beach. Property is located in an older, nice neighborhood. Many restaurants nearby. Three miles from the beach. Close to a Publix. Not far from downtown WPB. Nice pool. Fence backyard. Host has a lot of little touches to make your stay comfortable.

Great stay!

We had a great week staying here! Location is central to many things in the area, and a short drive to the beach. The outdoor area is amazing! We spent multiple afternoons in the pool, and the outdoor seating is great. We travel with pets, and it was wonderful to find a house like this that accommodated pets. Everything was very clean and the communication was great. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Backyard oasis

Host is super accommodating and responsive. I had a fair amount of questions and she was always so prompt and kind in her responses. The backyard is incredible and why we booked this property specifically. The house is also stocked with anything you might need. I’ve never stayed in a house that was so ready for what any guest might need and we appreciated that.

Family gathering

This is our second visit to this property. It is a typical old Florida house but everything we needed was there and everything worked just fine. My wife and I stayed here for a week and our children and grandchildren came to visit daily. The pool is heated and the yard around the pool is spacious and perfect for a family cookout. As we were driving to the airport to go back home, my wife said we should stay here again. We probably will.

House & Pool Area very nice.

Only negative was three of the seven nights awakened by noise in neighborhood. One night loud talking about midnight; another night three hours about 3 AM of loud "base" /thumping music; another night firecrackers ( not too loud) at midnight for only about 5 minutes. Did not feel endangered. Nothing home owner can control.

Excellent getaway

Stayed for a week this past March. Silvia is an excellent host with superb communication. She allowed us to check in early so we could enjoy her fabulous backyard. The pool is beautiful and there are 2 eating areas, loungers, a bbq and an exterior building with a full bathroom and washer and dryer. The house is clean and well equipped. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Beautiful outdoor space with private pool, deck, etc.

The outdoor space was second to none with a deck, two eating areas, chairs, and grill surrounded by lush greenery. What a way to spend the winter in Florida! Close to a great West Palm Beach market and the beach. We were minutes away from the Zoo (science museum and planetarium.) The hostess was very responsive and welcoming. Lots of towels and beach supplies. Large kitchen that is well stocked. To give a complete review, the house is older and not well insulated. This is not a problem in terms of temperature in the winter. It does allow for a lot of noise from the near-by roads, planes, and trains. Easy to get used to, but weird to be sitting in a oasis that sounds like a big city sometimes. And it made for a loud New Year's Even and New Year's day. The age also leads to a compact bathroom inside but there is an additional bathroom that is roomy. Given the opportunity, we would visit again.

Cozy Classic Historical Spanish Residence

We 3 adults from Vermont loved our 3 week vacation at Sylvia’s home in WPB. Sylvia was outstanding and communicative from start to finish. Sylvia’s home is warm, cozy, and inviting. The plaster walls bring you back to a time when homes were built solid. Sylvia’s Spanish home was built in the 1920’s and embodies character that you seldom see in today’s modern design. The hardwood floors are gorgeous. The layout and design of the home is both practical and airy. Sylvia provides everything you need in this home from kitchen supplies to lots of top quality towels and linens. We felt like we were residing at a family member’s home due to the comfort, art work, decoration, number of ceiling fans, and necessities provided. The kitchen is large and functional. We requested a Keurig for coffee and Sylvia provided this in addition to a traditional coffee maker. Air conditioning was sufficient. The pool area was wonderful! Very private, excellent gas grill which we used daily, we loved the heated and clean pool and all of the tropical foliage. The rear deck was shaded from the day’s sun and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast out on the deck. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, washer and dryer, and bathroom near the pool. We felt very safe staying here and enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood. There are many family-owned great restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed Lake Worth Beach frequently. There are 3 TV’s in the home. Sylvia was a very responsive and generous host. Thank You Sylvia for such a relaxing 3 week reprieve from winter in Vermont. We will cherish our memories!

It has a nice backyard, but...

The home only has parking for one vehicle and not a large SUV or truck. It has a 2nd bathroom out side of the home. It's a pool house bathroom that is located in the laundry room. The only bathroom in the house is quiet small. If you are over 5' 4" your knees are going to hit the glass shower door. The bedrooms are quite small and the central air doesn't seem to flow well in them, but the mattresses allow you to have good sleep. They do supply fans. The front door doesn't open or close well so you have to you the kitchen door. The home is kept well however it had an musty old home smell. So we brought good scented candles. The 2 bedroom face the street and the curtains do NOT block out the imagine of people in the bedrooms changing. The neighborhood wasn't great either. For the money paid no one in the group was happy we just stuck it out and had to suck it up for 9 days. We were a group of 5 between the ages of 40-60. A friend left some new summer dresses she purchase and they were very nice to call us and mail them to us. We rent 4 x a year in Florida and this was too expensive for the quality of home and neighborhood.
