Auf 14 wunderschönen bewaldeten Morgen mit drei Wasserfällen, die von einer überdachten, offenen Veranda aus zu sehen sind, werden KÜCHE UND BÄDER NUR IM MAI 2017 AKTUALISIERT!
Highlands / Cashiers bietet Kunstgalerien, Geschäfte, Kammermusik, Sommertheater, Berge zum Klettern, Golfplätze, Tennis, Wanderwege, Badeseen, tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten zum Fotografieren und Malen sowie großartige Restaurants.
Die Kabine verfügt über zwei Vollbäder, vier Einzel- und zwei Queensize-Betten in vier Schlafzimmern (zwei befinden sich im Erdgeschoss) und einen Balkon mit Blick auf das Wohnzimmer und einen großen Kamin aus Stein (verwendet echte Protokolle). Alles natürliche Holz und viele Fenster, Küche NUR AKTUALISIERT: Granit und Fliesen, Geschirrspüler, neuer Herd, neuer Kühlschrank, eingebaute Mikrowelle. UND das Hauptschlafzimmer hat eine Waschmaschine / Trockner! BEIDE BÄDER VOLLSTÄNDIG AKTUALISIERT mit Fliesen und Granit. Raumheizgeräte sind in jedem Zimmer vorhanden.
Es gibt eine überdachte Veranda und eine Terrasse mit einer Feuerstelle im Freien. Kein Fernseher, aber es gibt einen DVD-Player und der Handy-Service ist großartig.

Wonderful Fall Weekend

We had an excellent stay over a beautiful October weekend. The property is as advertised and even better. We had great communication with the manager, with clear instructions. The property is private and secluded, but close to town. The Fall colors all around us were awesome!

This place is awesome. It’s a real cabin, which is hard to find around Highlands these days. The location and the cabin itself help you feel even more in the mountains, rather than removed from them. Peaceful Place

Our family enjoyed unplugging and unwinding in this very special place. It was just as described and very suitable for our group. We hope to visit again. The location was convenient to town but still secluded.

Cold home great location

Jennifer was great communicating and let us come in early (we did not make it till 4 anyway). When we got there NO heat. Was told there was space heaters--2 for entire house plus 2 more decorative things that gave little heat. Fireplace was great but needed much more wood. Instead of being concerned over my elderly aunt walking down to the waterfall should be concerned over cold house and no heat al all in either bathroom! Speaking of the waterfall--if you have great eyesight (which my 90 year old aunt no longer has) you can a TINY white spot from the porch. You can hear it well. Nice updated kitchen. Granddad did a wonderful job on his home.

Private and cozy

Wonderfly rustic and very private. You can just see the top of the small waterfall from the patio. The host was very gracious and promptly dealt with a plumbing issue we had on arrival. She seemed more bothered by it than we were but it was fixed first thing in the morning. My daughter and son-in-law loved it as well and we plan on returning.

Charming

Such a lovely, charming old cabin set in the woods with a waterfall tht was so wonderful to hear while sleeping or enjoying the atio or the outdoor fire pit. The big stone fireplace was terrific. We highly recommend it and look forward to the possibility of staying there again.

Peaceful Retreat

Great rustic cabin, short drive to town

The cabin is exactly as described, and the kids enjoyed the waterfall. The path down is quite steep, but kids and most adults could do it. Everything was in good working order, we did use the heaters and fireplace in the evenings (even in July) but that was sufficient to warm up, and the days were lovely. There were some bugs, but it is a cabin in the woods. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc… The owners were very responsive to all of our questions, overall it was a great trip!

Let me say at the outset - this is not for the fancy pants folk who expect white linen and dinner at the club after a round of golf...this is a restored cabin without a/c (not needed) that an outdoorsman or naturalist will love. Its rustic in a good way, has history, privacy, acreage, and an incredible and interactive waterfall in full view of the cabin. We will be coming back again...thanks so very much for having us on short notice and a tight schedule!!!!!

Great location in a well appointed cabin!

Loved the location and property of this cabin. The cabin itself is original 1930s but has been well maintained and remodeled kitchen and baths. We had 7 people with us and found it very comfortable. Perfect for 2 families with up to 4 kids IMO. Supper short drive to downtown Highlands and plenty of outdoor activities not far away.

This property has been in our family since the the 30's, when my grandfather helped build it. My mother placed all 14 acres in a conservation easement just months before her death in 2011, and its serenity and rustic character are a legacy to a simpler way of life and a respect and love of nature.

This is a cabin where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of electronics and city life. Artists have come here to paint, writers to reflect, and families to enjoy time together. There are numerous places to hike and swim nearby, as well as hikes and waterfalls on the property.

When you go to sleep at night, you can hear the waterfall from the bedroom on the side of the house. You can eat on the porch and see the waterfall. The 14 acres make it quiet and peaceful but you are only a 10-minute drive from the town of Highlands, and only 15-20 minutes from Cashiers.
