The Island Oak ist ideal gelegen zu den wichtigsten Touristenattraktionen in Charleston. Von unserer Lage ist das historische Viertel eine 10-minütige Fahrt, Folly Beach ist 5 Meilen entfernt und mehrere Pro-Link Golf grob, um die Ocean Coarse bei Kiawah Island, mit in einem 15-Meile Radius.
Das Haus hat Kunst und Dekor gesammelt von meinen Reisen um die Welt mit ein paar Stücken von lokalen Künstler, um mich an zu Hause erinnern. Der große eingezäunte Garten bietet viel Privatsphäre, wenn Sie die Außenterrasse und die Feuerstelle genießen.

Centrally Located Comfortable Oasis

Wow! Stop looking and book this home. It's exactly what we needed. We explored the surrounding areas which were only 15 minutes or less away so the location is perfect no matter if you're wanting to spend time at the beach, plantations, museums, shopping orjust relaxing.

Great family getaway

Well appointed property; plenty of towels, dishes and cookware. Exceptional outdoor eating and entertainment space. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, we had friends and family over and the outdoor space was a godsend. The pool table came in handy for entertainment as well. Overall we enjoyed the property and I would definitely recommend it for a family gathering.

Lovely, clean, and well-furnished home on a nice size piece of property. Very comfortable there! Location was great, anywhere we wanted to go (we were on vacation) to downtown, to the beach, to Mt. Pleasant was not more than 15 minutes away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Charleston getaway

We came down to Charleston for a bachelor party weekend and stayed here. The house was very nice. Decorated with tasteful furniture and art on the wall. The outdoor space was a very nice addition we used to grill out and enjoyed spending time lounging around the deck. The property was large and off the road enough to where you couldn’t really hear any traffic and had good privacy. We actually met the owner by circumstance and he was an extremely nice man. I could tell he cares for the comfort and privacy of the renters. If you are looking for a nice relaxed, quiet place with everything you need, this is the place to go.

Great guys' weekend

Two friends and I stayed at the house, it was perfect for a small group with 3 similar bedrooms. The outdoor kitchen and overall layout were great along with the pool table. Lots of space and an easy 10 minute Uber to downtown Charleston.

Wonderful location between downtown and Folly Beach

This is a very pleasant residential property and a comfortable place to stay. It feels like home and has a spacious feeling interior. The den with the pool table is quite large and was a great place to hang out with the family. If we were staying longer we would have used the outdoor fireplace area as well to have a barbeque, oyster fest or shrimp boil. It felt very safe and was quiet overall. The owner/manager was responsive and super friendly. We hope to have an opportunity to come back and stay again! Everyone in our group was delighted. The late April weather was profound.

Beautiful family home!

Lovely property and home that was perfect for our family of four. Very conveniently located for both the city and Folly Beach. So much to do within a 30 min drive. Our teens enjoyed the pool table. The living space was very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Ample outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather. Would highly recommend!

Great Outdoor Space

We loved this house and its outdoor kitchen. It was everything the pictures promised. While not in the midst of historic Charleston, this house was an easy driving distance to any attraction. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent Family Vacation

This house was wonderful. It felt much more than a house but a home in which the family invited us to be a part. The decor and history was brilliant. The pool table was a great time for family connection and teaching. This home is an easy drive to Charleston while experiencing a quiet wonderful neighborhood. Joseph was an exceptional help and so pleasant. The home is fully furnished! The beds are so comfy. My family has stayed in many VRBOs in at least 7 different states and this one is definitely one of our favorites! The outdoor space is incredible. Thank. you to the Grants for opening up their homes for such a great memory for our family. Blessings.

Clean, comfortable and close to everything! We hope to stay here on our next visit.

The home and the property are well maintained and perfect for a large family. The only drawback is that there is only one shower, but that’s a small sacrifice for such a beautiful place to call home while away from your own. The location is fantastic and the property owner was easy to deal with. Our stay was short and we had to catch a SUPER early flight so I hope we cleaned up after ourselves well enough. There was a cabinet door that seemed to have a lock broken off, but other than that the house seemed in great condition. You really can’t go wrong staying here.

Great location to downtown and beach.

Air conditioning had a hard time keeping the upstairs cool. It was very hot outside so I can understand the unit having trouble keeping up. There were several light bulbs that needed to be replaced and would have liked to have had waste baskets in bedrooms . House had most everything we needed, but might consider a microwave. Kids loved the pool table. It was all about the location for us.

Beautiful home away from home!

This home was beautifully decorated and stocked with all the household items one would need. The sheets, towels and linens were all of good quality and nice and soft. The house smelled so clean and fresh upon every entry. We loved using the deck out back which included two large umbrellas for shade. The yard has many trees, shrubs and grass which set the atmosphere for much relaxing. Location was fantastic! Everything was super close for sightseeing, the beach, downtown, restaurants as well as grocery shopping. We were just a bit discouraged with the pavilion area. The sink was inoperable, fireplace was full of ashes, the propane was not connected to the grill and since it was just us girls we didn't want to attempt to hook it up. Overall, we were happy with our choice and grateful for such a beautiful place to stay!

Wonderful home on a large quiet lot - plenty of space for families to play. 15 to 20 minute drive to almost anywhere you want to go in Charleston. Joseph was great communicator - easy to work with. Highly recommend - we will stay here again.

I enjoy sports, the arts and relationship with people of various cultures. I'm a proud father of 5 and grandfather to 4 beautiful children. The house is a collection of memorabilia of grand experiences.

The Island Oak is ideally located to major tourist attractions in Charleston. From our location, the historic district is a 10 minute drive , Folly Beach is 5 miles away and several pro link golf coarse to include the Ocean Coarse at Kiawah Island, with in a 15 mile radius.
The house has art and decor collected from my travels around the world with a few pieces by local artist to remind me of home. The large fenced in yard offers tons of privacy when enjoying the outdoor deck and fire pit.

This beautiful 3000 square foot home, sits on a large fenced lot of over an acre. Guests can enjoy the live oak lined yard or relax on the deck. An outdoor kitchen (available for an additional charge) is perfect for entertaining and small gatherings. Inside the spacious game room is the perfect place to relax or entertain. The worldly decor and art showcased throughout the home were collected on my travels and years working abroad in the Middle East, Asia, and the Caribbean. The Grant offers catering service in our outdoor kitchen for 4-6 individuals featuring traditional "Gullah" local seafood cuisines, Blue Crab broils, Oyster roast (seasonal) and low country BBQ. Please plan in advance of arrival.
