The condo, I highly recommend not only was the condo perfect and clean with a great location and distance from the beach, but the owners are really great, communicative offered lots of info about the area, with recommendations for food and things to do. I will absolutely stay with them again.

This was an excellent condo! Could not have been more centrally located, beautifully appointed and comfortable. Owners were very communicative, the property manager was readily available, and we had a beautiful and relaxing week. Will definitely return.

Fantastic vacation spot

Everything was wonderful during our two week stay at Las Olas! Ir is very close to two bars with loud music, but the bedrooms were reasonably quiet for sleep. We love to "people watch", so the balcony views entertained us.. whenever we felt like a diversion from the TV, etc. Close to the beach and about two blocks from Chedraui Super store! Thank you so much for an incredible stay! ..we hated to leave..

Wonderful Condo Fantastic Service and Great Location

Everything about our visit was better than expected. The Condo is safe and secure and in a great location near everything. Easy walking to Beach, Scuba shop and some of the best restaurants we have ever dined at. The Goodwin's have this well thought out and they have a great support team. We have stayed many many places in Playa over the past 20 years and this is by far the BEST.

Great location....short walk to the beach and 1 block from 5th Ave. Very clean and roomy. Mary was an amazing housekeeper! Trevor was very prompt with contacting us back with answer about any concerns. Would definitely stay there again!

Great location

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Las Olas. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable for the four of us. The balcony was a great place to relax and people watch. We loved being so close to everything - less than a 5 minute walk to both the beach and to 5th avenue. There was a bit of noise late into the evening from the restaurants next door, but it did not bother us too much. Overall, we had a great stay!

A great condo in the middle of everything. Very easy access to Mamitas and Kool Beach clubs. 5th Avenue is your playground. I recommend booking tours through the little booth next to La Bodeguita del Medio. Great people and great value.

Another amazing visit to Las Olas

We had such a great visit in 2017 that we booked another wonderful 2 weeks in 2018. Location and amenities are top notch. Washer & Dryer make all the difference. We packed so much less this trip. Easy walking to dozens of fabulous restaurants, scuba diving and the beach. Your still the BEST!

Great condo between Mamitas Beach and La Quinta!

Hard to beat the location in Little Italy. The condo is well laid out and well provisioned. We spent a great amount of time on the deck watching the parade of people to and from the beach. It was much fun. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the immediate area. It’s full of life. Especially want to thank Ross for being such a gracious host. Highly Recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful time! The location is great! The well-equipped condo is minutes from a beautiful beach and 5th Avenue. There is an excellent grocery store nearby, as well as many restaurants and live entertainment options. We especially enjoyed the spacious balcony and having access to beach chairs and an umbrella. There was good communication with the host and the property manager. The area around the condo felt very safe. It was an easy walk to the ADO bus terminal that has a direct bus to the airport (for 250 pesos). A great experience overall!

Great location, very comfortable place to stay!

This location is perfect! We walked to the Mega and did some shopping and cooked several meals there. We loved sitting on the patio. One day, 2 parrots landed on a line across the street while we were having breakfast! If you like healthy food, there are dozens of great restaurants within walking distance. Condo has lots of open space for - perfect for doing yoga or stretching. I would recommend this to anyone. Safe, convenient location, very nice owner who is very easy to reach by email.

Everything about this place was awesome. Location? Awesome - 1 block from 5th ave shops & restaurants Condo? Awesome - only 2 of us stayed but easily could have accommodated 4. Terrace that was perfect for people watching. Furnishings were super comfortable Check-in process? Awesome - door code worked without issue. Property manager called on the second day to make sure we settled in ok. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this rental for anyone traveling to Playa del Carmen!

Amazing location with all you need provided

My wife, adult daughter, and I stayed in this clean, bright two bedroom apartment for 17 days and had a wonderful, no-complaint vacation. The apartment is clean and stocked with several items that make your stay comfortable and worry free. They have beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, and a beach trolly to carry everything to the beach. The place has three air conditioner units that work well and a nice outside deck that lets you enjoy watching everyone on their way to or from the beach. It is south and west facing so you get lots of light all day long. My wife worked part of the time and the WiFi worked flawlessly and there were no issues on that end. I loved the fact that there is a door code and no need for a key…one less thing to worry about when leaving for the day.The kitchen has everything that we needed form coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave and all the pots, pans and dishes that you would need. I did not have to buy anything extra to make my stay better.Ross and Lori provide a great book telling you about everything in and out of the apartment. The book share several places that they recommend that are close and even some great locations outside of PDC if you want to get out for a bit. You are within walking distance to hundreds of bars and restaurants and a nice grocery store.We were able to check in a bit earlier than the check in time and were allowed to stay a bit after our check out time. Ross and Lori are very easy to contact. Enjoy this paradise.

Lovely long weekend in Playa

The entire rental process was efficient and friendly. The apartment is just as pictured. The location is good in terms of getting to other places in Playa or catching shuttles. However, be forewarned that the area is very loud. The music plays from 11am to 11pm or 12am EVERY night. With the bedroom doors closed it muffles the sound well enough. The towels are a bit tired and there are only two beach towels. There were four of us, so we shared. Overall, we highly recommend this apartment and would stay again.

Great Accomodations - Fabulous Location

We stayed there over New Year's Eve and into mid-January. The condo was very nice... clean, roomy and well-laid out... provided us with everything we needed for our month-long stay. Perfectly located about 5 minutes down the street from the beautiful public-access beach, and about 3 minutes from the wonderful restaurants, bars and shops along 5th Ave... perfect for people watching while we had breakfast, lunch or dinner on the roomy balcony, or taking a nice walk along 5th... lots of sound and activity!... Dealing with the property owner (Ross) and the property manager (Trevor) was a pleasure... they responded to our few requests and inquiries in a timely, and satisfactory, fashion. We enjoyed it so much, we booked for next year, for a longer period.

Good place, good location. Steps away from the beach and 5th street. Only a couple of issues we had with the property. Water pressure/ flow in the master bedroom shower was very disappointing. It was hard to take showers. The lights in the balcony didn't work. Never met the property manager. We had a great time in playa del carmen though

Great place!

We stayed in this condo for a month and I couldn't of asked for anything more. We used the grill quite often, being able to sit and ppl watch, while cooking was very entertaining. The noise from the bars is not an issue at all, although I think the ppl above us, used a jump rope every night as soon as I hit my pillow. Lol still not a big enough issue to discourage me from recommending this condo. Ross put a lot of effort into leaving no stone unturned, with what you need to know about his place. His property manager introduced himself and thankfully, we never had any problems that we had to bother him with. (Very nice man.) I hope to be back next year if its available again for a month. It really is a great place. Cindy

Great time in PDC

I stayed at this condo from Jan 17 - Feb 9. It was what out a doubt in the best location in Playa. It was at the top of the street that leads directly to Mamitas beach. The walk to the beach was about 150 yards. Anyone who wanted to go to the beach had to walk directly by the condo. It was great people watching. You were also about a block from 5th Avenue which is where everything happens. The condo it self was nice. It could use a bit of upgrading in a few areas as somethings in the condo seemed a bit dated. I talked to Ross why I was there and he said they were going to be upgrading things soon. If that's the case this would be one of the best deals in Playa. I would definitely have no problem renting this condo again.

Super host, indeed!

I want to first talk about the property itself. Ross& Lori and Trevor were all amazing in their communication with myself and my husband. I would stay at any other property that they owned/ managed in a heartbeat! The condo was clean, the kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to make breakfast, lunch or dinner every day were there. Netflix movies on the larger screen tv were nice for down time as was the nicely appointed, covered deck. We loved people watching! The washer & dryer were very handy and easy to use. Now, the not so good which Ross, Lori nor Trevor had ANY control over; it was very LOUD! There are 2 bars on the same street as the condo and they party until at least midnight most nights of the week. That would be the ONLY REASON I would not stay here again.

Great location and property

If you are looking for a rental for 2 couples or a family, this is a perfect property. Pros: close proximity to beach Very close to 5th Avenue restaurants and stores Nicely decorated Washer/dryer Beach chairs and umbrellas!!! Good WiFi 2 en suite bathrooms Next to taxi stand if you need a ride Cons: Loud music due to proximity of 5th Ave if you are a light sleeper, or pack ear plugs. No toiletries so pack accordingly (there is a large market a few blocks down on 34th & 10thAve that has anything you would need) No elevator to second floor so be aware if you have issues with steps No pool or sun deck -You will need to pay to use other pool areas close by Low water pressure in one bathroom shower (the other shower was fine) Overall I would rent here again if staying in Playa Del Carmen. Ross let us arrive at condo early since no one was staying prior to our arrival. He immediately communicated with us and everything was extremely easy. Trevor stopped by and checked in as well.

Nice condo with great location between 5th and the beach

Communication with the owners was easy and they quickly responded. Locating and getting into the unit was easy, and as described. The unit was immaculately clean, which was greatly appreciated. My friend and I liked the location, but the music from the two nightclubs just a few steps from the building was over the top loud, one night until 3 a.m, on other nights they quit about 1:00. Double ear pugs worked fairly well for a good nights sleep. The first bedroom was very lit up by a streetlight, so bring an eye mask, too. The unit’s kitchen had everything needed to cook meals except some oil/spray. I was never able to locate the hair dryer which was listed as present, but no big deal. I used the washer/dryer, and they worked well; I met my husband later for another week, so having the W/D was a nice amenity. The balcony was fun for people watching and enjoying the cool mornings. There are a couple pharmacies and a 7/11 just steps from the building, and they carry all the things you might need or forgot.

Great location and very helpful property manager

We certainly enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated being made aware of the late night music from down the street. We also experienced some maintenance issues. One of them was corrected while we were there: leaky sink and toilet in the guest bath and a problem with fans and light in living areas was partially corrected but the remote for the sofa area was not fixed while we were there so lighting and fan there did not work at all One other problem was the toilet in the master bath..a horribly loud noise when flushing. I.reported this and work was done but did not get it corrected. It was so bad that I chose not to flush at night so as not to disturb my husband and other guests in the building Gwen McKinney

My wife Lori and I have searched for the perfect place to own in the sun and near the water. We have traveled to Panama, Belize and Ecuador and finally chose this spot on the Mayan Riviera. What attracted us is the very friendly people, inexpensive living, amazing weather and safe neighborhood. The perfect place to escape the Canadian winter.

Las Olas means 'The Waves' in Spanish and we named our Condo #207 "Buena Vida" meaning 'The Good Life'! This condominium building is appropriately named, since it is literally steps from the turquoise Caribbean Sea and glorious white sand beaches for which Playa del Carmen is justly famous. Solidly built and with charming exterior design features like the winding tree pillars, these condos combine the best of Mexican design, like colorful tile, with clean, contemporary furnishings to create a harmonious, upscale experience. The condo is continuously being upgraded with Tzalam (Caribbean Walnut) furniture, king size beds, vanities and doors.

Location, Location, Location!!
Not only is our condo at Las Olas conveniently located close to the beach, it is also only a few steps from the famous Fifth Avenue. Known by locals as La Quinta Avenida, it's where you can enjoy strolling along the cobblestone pedestrian walkway and find great shopping and an array of fine restaurants and fun bars. It is also only a 10 minute walk to 2 huge Superstores (Mega and Wal-Mart) where you can purchase a huge variety of food and beverages. For all the day to day and evening activities, a car is not necessary.
Many potential guests ask about a pool. Both Mamitas Beach Club and Kool's Beach Club just a short way down the road have very nice swimming pools that can be used by families and children for the inexpensive cost of a lounge chair and umbrella. The Reef Hotel across the road has a fabulous roof-top pool, hot tubs, spa, gym and restaurant that welcomes guests of Las Olas for a small charge which goes toward food and drink. The view is great and the perfect location to get that tan in a more private location!
