Private Wohnung in 42 Hektar großen Gated Estate auf einer Bergspitze, mit dramatischen Blick auf den Ozean unten, und eine Kulisse der Kalmiopsis Wildnis Berge hinter. Großes 1 Schlafzimmer mit California King Bett und individuell angepasste Matratzen auf jeder Seite, umhüllt von Fenstern auf zwei Seiten, um freie Sicht auf das Meer und das Winchuck River Valley unten zu ermöglichen. Großes Badezimmer, Kochnische und Wohnzimmer.

Außerhalb des privaten Eingangs finden Sie einen Jacuzzi (ideal zum Genießen der Sonnenuntergänge über dem Meer) sowie eine Außenbank, um die Privatsphäre und die Umgebung zu genießen, für Wale zu schauen oder das Buch zu lesen, das Sie abgelegt haben. Es ist sehr ruhig, mit dem weichen und sanften, aber unverwechselbaren Klang der Surf unter dir. In der Rückseite sind Wander- und Radwege, die sich kilometerweit in die unbewohnten Berge aus Kalifornien und Oregon erstrecken. Der Strand ist zugänglich durch eine 5-minütige Fahrt unterhalb der Eigenschaft.

Absolutely Beautiful!!

This property was gorgeous. The fog did not allow us to enjoy it as as much as we could have but what we did see was amazing. The owner was very nice and very helpful. We just stayed as we were passing through, but it would’ve been nice to be able to stay longer.

Amazing find with incredible views!

This was our first wedding anniversary trip and it couldn't have been better! The owners even left us an anniversary card and flowers! This cute little apartment was just amazing! Gorgeous views of Pelican Bay, Brookings, and the surrounding mountains! And a most comfortable bed! Highly recommended! We will be back!

We only stayed one night because of a family emergency. This place had the most beautiful view I have ever seen. The apartment does not have a full kitchen. It has a microwave, small fridge, Small sink, an hot plate and sparse silverware. There were also curtains in the kitchen which hid the door behind it. It did not bother us, but it might bother other’s. There were no extra blanket’s. I was given one by request. I think the most difficult thing was the music Rodney was playing above our bedroom. He gave us a white noise diffuser so we could not hear him. We could hear him. It was not a quiet stay.

Wonderful property

This was a beautiful place to stay and worked perfectly for my purpose which was work related. But came back to awesome sunsets with ocean and mountain views. The hosts are truly gracious and made sure I was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely Dreamy

My fiancé and I could not have asked for a better stay! The property and apartment are absolutely beautiful with a view that had me convinced I was dreaming. One direction is the ocean, one a perfect view of Brookings (especially pretty at night), and one the lush green mountains. Seriously incredible! The sunset view from the hot tub was a favorite of ours! Patti is a fantastic host as well. She was welcoming, kind, helpful, and had thought of everything. The apartment is stocked with everything we could need with clear instructions. Additionally, the location couldn’t be better. It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and downtown. This was the most relaxing trip of my life, and we are so excited to come stay again next time!

Beautiful Hilltop Property

The apartment came as advertised. Very clean and perfect for a solo traveler. Million dollar views from the apartment and your bed when you wake up for the price of an overnight stay. There is a reason the street is named surf sound because from the top of this hill you can hear the crashing waves at night like you’re right next to the beach. Amazing property! Patti is a helpful host and Charlie the dog is friendly! I will definitely stay there again when I come back!

Amazing experience

We had an amazing stay. The home owners are great, went above and beyond. The views were beautiful when not in the fog. We would definitely return and stay again. The only thing I can add otherwise is for motorcycles it is an uphill gravel driveway, which wasn't an issue for us.

Stop on our roadtrip

We stayed for 2 nights on our way south to San Diego. The apartment was perfect for my wife and I, the location is incredible on top of their very own mountain. The local area is great for exploring. The kitchen was limited, just don't plan on producing huge meals. Other than that it was a great place to stay, no doubt we'll be back again!

Stunning views!!

My husband and I rented this property to stay at while my best friend was getting married down on the beach in Smith River. She got married right on the beach and this rental property was only 3.5 miles away! The drive was gorgeous! The rooms were as pictured if not better. The bed was so comfortable! Our hostess was very accommodating and so nice. I had never rented just a portion of a house from VRBO. I have always rented whole homes only. But having a separate entrance and a separate space from the main house made it feel as though it was very private. They also have the cutest dog. She was very well behaved and we actually wish we could've hung out with her more! I have nothing but good things to say about our experience and I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Misty Mountain Escape

My boyfriend and I experienced a beautiful drive up the California coast, and were delightfully met with a glorious stay on a misty mountain top. Through the foggy evenings we were able to enjoy nice home cooked meals, with an after dinner dip in the hot tub. The cool evenings and dimly lit views made for a very relaxing weekend. During the daytime, we traveled a short trip into Oregon to visit Brookings and the views were beautiful. Very nice little town, with cute shops to visit and shop in. Our hosts were incredibly respectful, and welcoming. We found everything we needed for our stay. Patti even invited us to watch her husband’s twitch stream, where he performed some jazz covers as well as a few original songs! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and can’t wait to come back for another weekend getaway with some beautiful sunset views!

It was absolutely the most gorgeous place up on a hill top looking over the ocean. It was immaculate and everything you could need or want was there. The bed was very comfortable and king size. You could sit in the hot tub and see and hear the ocean. Wow!! Then you had your host and hostess who were just the nicest people you could ever want to meet. She checked in with us during the week to make sure our needs were met. The one down fall was that the place was so comfortable and inviting that you didn’t want to leave to go sightseeing you would rather stay there and enjoy the beauty . This place was exceptional. We definetly would revisit.

We moved up from LA 14 years ago, and have operated a software and consulting business from this location. The climate and location make us feel like it's the perfect place to live, whether its sunny or rainy. We love the outdoors, whether it is walking our cute town or our beautiful beaches. My husband has fished all over the US and says we do have world-class fishing.

This is a downstairs apartment with a private entrance in our custom home on top of a 42 acre estate. We built the custom home on this property seeking the ideal combination of privacy, ocean views and sounds, as well as being able to see far into the back country (there's nothing much behind us for 100 miles).
You can see snowcapped vistas 80 miles away during the winter.

We are close to the beach. We have 3 National Parks within 20 minutes, there are trails to hike and great antiquing and shopping in Brookings. There is a fun port with great coffee, pizza, and restaurants. We have two movie theaters, antiquing, shopping and the best beach walks along a craggy coastline.
You can look at the shooting stars and pick out the constellations. You will feel like you can touch the moon! you will love it here.
We have elk, deer and beautiful soaring birds. We probably have 40 different kind of birds and occasionally see bald eagles right from our bench staring at the beach.
