Voyager Rest ist ideal gelegen, um die unglaubliche Schönheit des wilden, wundervollen West Virginia zu genießen! Es befindet sich auf einem 7+ Morgen großen Privatgrundstück im Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. speziell innerhalb der Old Timberline Gated Resort Community. Es bietet absolute Privatsphäre und ist nur wenige Minuten von unzähligen Aktivitäten im Freien entfernt. Die Adresse der Unterkunft lautet: 949 Sand Run Road, Davis, WV 26260.

Das Innere von Voyager Rest ist mit Antiquitäten und Sammlerstücken aus der ganzen Welt exquisit ausgestattet. Es ist wirklich einzigartig. Es umfasst einen großen Kamin aus Stein, Eichenbalken, antiken Hartholz- und Schieferboden, Steinduschen und Granitoberflächen mit handgefertigten Kupferwaschbecken. Den Gästen stehen zwei Kajaks zur Verfügung. eine an jedem See (siehe Orientierung).

Das Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge war das 500. National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), das in den USA eingerichtet wurde. Die Schutzhütte bewahrt ein feuchtes Tal mit einzigartigen Feuchtgebieten und Hochländern auf einer relativ hohen Höhe im Allegheny-Gebirge.

Pictures don’t do justice!

You have to see it to truly appreciate it! This place will fill you with awe and motivation. The views, both in and out of the cabin, will make your mind wonder on and on. The place has everything you might need and the customer service, both from the owner, and from the staff, will make you feel like you’ve all been long time friends. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can’t wait to be back!

Fun even a second time

This was our second time at this property. This time we took our two boys. They loved it just as much as we did. The location is perfect for hiking during the day. And the house is perfect for enjoying each others' company in the evenings. The host has always been super helpful. My youngest son didnt want to leave and is making plans to return in the future.

Amazing stay at Voyager Rest

Beautiful, secluded and comfortable home. Home was unique and decorated with treasurers from around the world. We only left to grab some dinner take-out in the town of David. Spent majority of our time watching movies next to a warm fire. Loved the surround sound and the large stone shower downstairs. Slept in the loft room-super comfy! We plan to return next year! Another Fantastic Stay

This home is so so special and we enjoyed another fantastic stay. Had great skiing weather a couple days, one day of rain but we played board games and enjoyed the hot tub. My 80 year old Mom slept till noon and I had to go wake her, the beds were so comfortable. Thanks again to Jim for such a fun place to take a wide range of people. We hated to leave!

Tiny Castle in the Mountains…fit for a king

Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area.

Great place to relax after a day of adventure

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents had a fantastic time at the house, Voyager Retreat. The home is beautiful, very well built, which was reassuring during a winter storm with strong winds, and cozy. The decor is eclectic and enjoyable. The home amenities were perfect for our group and kept in great condition. The location is fantastic, secluded with a great view but also convenient to the local resorts. Hopefully we can return to enjoy a different season as I’m sure the summer and fall would be amazing.

Wonderful!!

The entire stay was fantastic! Voyagers Rest is a unique and beautiful place full of cozy treasures. It was well equipped with everything we needed to stay comfortably. Kitchen was full stocked with cooking essentials, beds were super comfortable and a soak in the hot tub was an amazing way to end the day! Family Trip

Voyager Rest was perfect place for our quick trip to introduce our grandchildren to skiing. They loved exploring the rooms and the unique decor. The place is in a perfect location to the slopes at Timberline Mountain Ski Resort. It was easy to check in at the security gate and access the home. Very clean and well stocked with items you might need while away from home. Jim, the owner, was quick to reply with the front door code when VRBO didn't send it. He sent detailed instructions that covered any questions we might have had while there. The hot tub was a huge family favorite. Our dogs loved running around in the snow around the home. We didn't have trouble driving on the snow packed road to the place. we will definitely be returning!

Jim is a lovely and responsive host. The property is just as pictured on the website. The home is a treasure trove of objects from around the world. Voyager Rest is truly one of a kind. Its design was greatly influenced by the traditional styles of homes in North Yorkshire, England and Bavaria, Germany. It is exquisitely furnished with many rare antiques and collectables from places across the world.

Voyager Rest was built on a private 7+ acre lot with beautiful mountain view. It offers the best of both worlds; peace and quiet, yet is only minutes drive from Canaan valley ski resort. VR is a perfect place to enjoy the incredible beauty of wild wonderful West Virginia.
