Zwei Zimmer, "upstair" Suite in Flintstone, GA, eine ruhige, ländliche Gemeinde am Fuße des Lookout Mountain und nur eine schöne Fahrt 10 Meilen von der Innenstadt von Chattanooga entfernt; Flussufer; TN Aquarium; Coolidge Park; Viele tolle Restaurants und viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten im Freien. Unser Platz ist eine private Einheit im Obergeschoss, die durch das Haupthaus (Hintertür) zugänglich ist, aber nur eine kurze Strecke von der Treppe entfernt ist. Die Stufen sind mit einem Handlauf sehr gut beleuchtet, aber etwas steil. Das Gerät bietet Platz für fünf Personen (Queensize-Bett, ein zusammenklappbares Doppelbett mit einer regulären Doppelmatratze und ein Doppel-Futon - alle sind sehr komfortabel), mit Parkmöglichkeiten abseits der Straße und einem gut beleuchteten Eingang. Zum Frühstück stellen wir Wasser, Saft, Joghurt, Haferflocken und Kaffee zur Verfügung. Es gibt eine Mikrowelle, einen kleinen Kühlschrank, eine Kaffeemaschine, einen Eiskübel, Teller, Besteck und sogar einen Korkenzieher. Der Iron Man Course, das Riverbend Festival, die Herbstlaubfeste, viele Radrennen, der Ironman, UTC, das Covenant College und verschiedene beliebte Veranstaltungsorte für Hochzeiten und Scheunen sind bequem zu erreichen. Es gibt auch VIELE Veranstaltungsorte für Live-Musik.

Friendly family, great stay!

Super comfortable and great location

Our hosts were very kind and helpful with info on local areas. The beds were super comfortable, which is not always the case with some VRBOs. Amenities were all there as needed...and it had a great shower. It was quiet and was perfect for a writers' weekend get away. Our book is nearly complete now!

Comfortable and safe

Cozy little place

The owners were great and very helpful with reviews of local things to do. It’s a perfect location for lookout mountain, Chattanooga downtown and plenty of hiking trails all around. The rooms we stayed in were nice and clean. Very cozy. I would stay here again on our next visit to the area. 5 Stars easily.

Great rural getaway

Great time at The Roost. Yvonne & Jim were extremely hospitable and gracious hosts. The Roost was simple but sweet and had everything needed for a weekend getaway. There isn't a full kitchen, but as long as you know that going in, this spot is perfect for the location and price.

Excellent lodging for a small family. Quiet, cozy, and clean, not to mention affordable.

The owners were warm and friendly, the house charming, and the room very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel room. There’s a steep climb up the stairway to the room, but our four year old managed it perfectly. The location was peaceful and only a few minutes’ drive to all things Chattanooga.

Flintstone GA comfy stay

Yvonne and Jim are some of the friendliest, most accommodating hosts that I’ve had. The Roost is a quaint home away from home. Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. Even though the Roost is upstairs in their home, we had so much privacy, didn’t see them except for the first and last day, it was a space to ourselves. We will be staying again!

The Roost is great!

Our stay at The Roost was fantastic! There was plenty of space for our group of four of 2 adults and two teens. There were comfy beds, a nice work space to do homework, games for unwinding, plenty of snacks/cocoa for a special treat, and the hosts were really sweet and informative. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Great getaway

We enjoyed the Roost

The Roost was just as described, and we enjoyed our stay. The one thing I didn't catch from the listing (it may have been there and I missed it) was there is not a separate entrance. It worked fine, just different than I expected. It was lovely, and we had a nice time and enjoyed our host's personal touches.

Our stay at the Roost

Our first VRBO experience was awesome! Our hostess Yvonne greeted us at our car and then sweet Fergie, there dog gave us a welcome every time we left and returned. Our room was perfect for our family of 5, 3 adults and 2 children. They made sure we had everything we needed and it felt like home. We enjoyed talking with Jim and Yvonne. Thank you for a great time. We will use VRBO again and hope to be back to The Roost someday. Also, thanks for making our granddaughter feel so special with those skeleton keys you gave her.

Yvonne and Jim are just the nicest folks! They made us feel right at home, again!

Second stay!!! We knew we were going to be late arriving. We brought our 6 year old granddaughter along this time. Yvonne gladly set up the extra twin bed and had the futon made up for our 14 year old son. It was so nice to shower and crawl into bed without that extra work. Having breakfast items, snacks, juice, water and hot beverages was so nice! It had been a while since supper so having microwave popcorn was awesome!!! You just can’t beat the comfort and economy of staying at “The Roost”! We’ll definitely be back!

Our first VRBO

We had an excellent, multi-night stay at The Roost! All five beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the teenagers appreciated the snacks. Easy to find and felt safe and homey. I felt like I was at home! Yvonne and Jim made sure you felt welcomed and any needs were met. The Roost was located in a nice and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing getaway! I appreciated that Yvonne had snacks and drinks (coffee, juice) provided for us already stocked in our fridge. I would stay here again in an instant!

Wonderful Stay!

I cannot say enough about the Roost. The property is so beautiful and the home is warm and comforting. Yvonne met us outside to greet us and is just a light in a dark world kind of person. Their back deck is super cute to sip wine or coffee. The stairs up to the space are steep - but Yvonne volunteered her husband to carry any of our heavy luggage. Upstairs the space is gorgeous! It is NOTHING like an attic and it is spotless! So clean! It's very spacious (the ceiling in places is low, but not a big issue for short people like me). The beds and futon are comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The ac/heating unit works amazing. Yvonne even provided a small fan to have white noise. The bathroom is larger than I thought it would be with plenty of towels and a hair dryer. What I think was the best is the little items she provides. Biscotti for the coffee, crackers, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, tea etc. It was perfectly set up with room to eat at a table and the fridge is perfect and stocked with juice and yogurt. There is a small water cooler to use for drinking and to make coffee. Another amazing touch was Yvonne would NOT allow us to do our own dishes. She asked that you place them in a small dishwashing basin and leave them downstairs in her kitchen. We said we were perfectly able to wash-up after ourselves and she would not have it! She said she was there to take care of us. :) We enjoyed our stay so very much. The area is beautiful and super close to Chattanooga. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Yvonne and Jim!!!

Travelers since 2015 but hosts since September 2017, Yvonne and her husband Jim enjoy life, family, friends and meeting new people. We enjoy diversity and cultural experiences of all kinds. Learning about other cultures has always been important to us. This is expressed in our love of traveling to London, Paris, Spain, Kenya, Haiti, Jamaica, Japan & Sri Lanka.

But closer to home, we are blessed with three grown children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law and "currently" eight, make that nine now beautiful grandchildren !!! We are the happiest when we are hosting family gatherings around a meal; whether in the dining room, an outdoor yard party or hot dogs and s'mores around the campfire.

Throughout our many years, we have both work in service oriented jobs because we enjoy taking care of and providing help to others. Most of all we are blessed with sharing life together for 40 years ........ and we still love one another immensely.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Our home is located in rural Flintstone but only 10 miles from Chattanooga, TN. We can sit on the back-porch while listening to the crickets and cows. We are located away from the hustle and bustle of town but only a 15 minutes drive to many great restaurants, outdoor sports & events, and many wedding & music venues.
Our home is an old farm house built in 1922 with a very comfortable and homey feeling and we want to share with others. We enjoying meeting people and especially want to enhance their vacation/stay by making The Roost comfortable and clean. But because it was built in 1922, the steps to the unit are steep.

Our home/apt. is on an acre of property, which is plenty of room for our grandchildren to enjoy. With it being an old farm house, it's not perfect but it's our home. We're not afraid of roller skates on our wood floors, mud pies on the walkway or chalk art on the driveway. We enjoy art work and the beauty of creation with many plants (in the summer :) as expressed with our sculptures and in our walkway. We also have a beautiful view of Lookout Mountain.
