Das Franklin Battlefield Inn ist ein wunderschönes, historisches viktorianisches Haus aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. 1902, aber mit all dem modernen Luxus für Reisende des 21. Jahrhunderts… einschließlich drei Schlafzimmern, zwei Badezimmern mit unbegrenzt heißem Wasser, das von einem Warmwasserbereiter ohne Tank geliefert wird, einer voll ausgestatteten Küche mit Granitoberflächen, Fliesenrückenspritzern und einem Gasherd , Backofen, Geschirrspüler, Kühlschrank und Eismaschine, Waschmaschine und Trockner, Gas-Kamin, vier Flachbildfernseher mit Direkt-TV, DVR (über 700 Kanäle!), ein Blue-Ray-DVD-Player und vieles mehr.

Das Franklin Battlefield Inn (auch bekannt als "the F. B.I.") befindet sich in zentraler Lage in der historischen Innenstadt von Franklin! Wenn Sie hier sind, um die Kleinstadt Nummer Eins in TN (laut Southern Living) zu besuchen, werden Sie hier beim FBI übernachten wollen! Gehen Sie zu Franklins blühender Hauptstraße, Restaurants, Lebensmittelgeschäften, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Parks, Museen und vielem mehr. Unser Kreishistoriker nannte dieses Einfamilienhaus „Franklin Battlefield Inn“, weil sich das Haus am Ground Zero der Schlacht von Franklin befindet. Es wird argumentiert, dass die Schlacht von Franklin die blutigste Schlacht des Bürgerkriegs war, und dieses Haus befindet sich genau in der Mitte, in der die Schlacht ausgetragen wurde! Das Carter House und das Museum sind nur zwei Blocks nördlich.

Nach dem Bürgerkrieg Samuel P. Redford kaufte Land von der Familie Carter und baute mehrere Häuser mit Holz aus seiner Holzmühle. Zwischen 1899 und 1902 baute Sam Redford dieses Haus aus der besten roten Eiche seiner Mühle. Seitdem haben fünf Generationen von Redfords hier gelebt (und ein paar sind hier gestorben, aber schhh, sag den Kindern nicht, dass es Geister gibt). Wir haben Geschichten darüber gehört, wie unsere Vorfahren in diesem Haus Gäste bestiegen. Wir hoffen, diese Tradition der Gastfreundschaft wieder aufleben zu lassen, indem wir Sie im FBI begrüßen.

Mit einem wunderschönen eingezäunten Hinterhof, einer geräumigen Terrasse und einer Krabbenobstgarten-Steininsel mit Feuerstelle ist das Franklin Battlefield Inn ein großartiger Ort für Veranstaltungen wie Partys, Tees, Grillabende, Versammlungen oder Hochzeiten. A perfectly refreshing stay

Everything was exactly as described with the check-in process. This is a lovely home and it was clear that the owner had gone to a lot of effort to think of every detail. It was a quiet and relaxing time for us to catch-up. If you are considering staying at this property, you will not be disappointed. Best rental experience we have ever had!

Our family of 4 rented this property in order to have more space while visiting family over Thanksgiving. It was definitely a home away from home and very well appointed. We utilized the grill and enjoyed dinner at the home. Our teenage musician enjoyed having the piano to play, and the young reader we have was thrilled with the selection of books. The best part was we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We are definitely planning a return visit.

Gorgeous Home in Downtown Franklin

Wow!! This house is amazing! If you are looking for a place to stay in Franklin, you can end your search now. I promise that you won't be disappointed! The owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Very spacious, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean! Great outdoor areas including a rocking chair front porch, a deck with table and chairs, and a beautiful backyard with a fire pit and swing. All of the shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. Wonderful rental!

The best of Christmas celebrations

Four days of total enjoyment! The home has a feeling of history and warmth. Easy to walk to Franklin center and enjoy the community. The fenced backyard is perfect for animals and the use of the fire pit was used for a family Christmas Eve. We are from the west coast and will stay here on a return trip.

Great house!

The FBI was a beautiful house. It was very fresh & clean. Plenty of sleeping space & the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were updated & very nice. A great neighborhood. Walking to Main Street was a little challenge for my mom & her friend but we managed. I would highly recommend it.

Weekend Getaway

We recently stayed at the FBI with some friends for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The home was absolutely darling and incredibly clean. We loved sitting out by the fire pit and being able to work to brunch/dinner. Mary Ellen was a wonderful host and very responsive to any messages I sent.

Staying a the Franklin Battlefield Inn could not have been more perfect. The historic house with the turn of the century furnishings was like stepping into a different time EXCEPT the modern kitchen. The location was ideal to historic Franklin Sites. It was the best and Mary Ellen (host) was wonderful.

Girlfriends Getaway

After driving 400 miles ( with 350 seemingly under construction) we arrived to an oasis of cool gentility. The house is furnished in gorgeous, functional antiques with splurges of upscale convenience (marble countertops, glassed walk-in shower, fabulous bedding, hotel-style robes, bedside candies). The ambiance extends to the outdoors with a fire pit, swing, party lights, and patio seating. Great shopping is a very short drive or easy walk away. Our hostess was easy to reach and quick to reply. If I ever have an opportunity to visit the Franklin/Nashville area again, the FBI is the only place I will consider staying.

Unique Historic Property

My husband and I are frequent VRBO customers in that we enjoy the “at home while away” experience. Must say this lovely and unique property far exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful visit with our children and first grandson. Mary Ellen is extremely attentive to your needs to assure a most comfortable and welcoming experience. The home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our daughter-in-law especially loved the most comfortable bedding and the very thoughtful chocolates left at her bedside by Mary Ellen. So much history with a perfect library for all! We read some of her children’s books to our grandson. All in all, one of our favorite VRBO properties!

Although, born raised and educated in Nashville, Mary Ellen married Clyde Redford of Franklin in 1969. He and his father grew up in this house, which was built by Clyde's grandfather in 1902.
Mary Ellen lives south of Leiper's Fork, about a 25 minute drive from the FBI.

This property has been passed down from one generation to the next. Sam Redford built this home and others in Franklin between 1899 and 1902 having purchased the land from what had been part of the Carter plantation. This home holds great sentimental value for the Redford family, so much so that when the 5th generation, Emily Redford, moved out, we decided to restore it, preserve it, keep it in the family for future generations and share it with others. Today we are offering our family home for travelers seeking comfort, luxury and ambiance in their travel accommodations.

Staying at the Franklin Battlefield Inn is a step back into time, a slower, gentler time of charm and grace. Built only 38 years after the Civil War, this property was on the battlefield. History abounds. Visit the Historic Carter House and Carnton Mansion. Perhaps a ghost tour would appeal to you.
The back deck and back yard with a fire pit offer visitors the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy their time together. We think you will feel the love that has gone into restoring the old and creating the new aspects of this home. It is not a Victorian Museum, but rather a charming and comfortable place to make new memories.
