Unser 'Southern Living II' ist das 'Schwesterhaus' von 'Southern Living on the Eastern Shore'. Es befindet sich zwischen dem Central Park und dem Stadtstrand, beide zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, sowie zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu den Attraktionen in der Innenstadt von Kellys Gingernut, The Shanty und den Cape Charles Coffee House Restaurants. Innerhalb von 10 Fahrminuten erreichen Sie einen Arnold Palmer / Jack Nicklaus Golfplatz. Die neue Werft und der neue Yachthafen sowie die neu gestaltete Oyster Farm Seafood Eatery sind ein MUSS. Der weiße Sandstrand (täglich gereinigt und klassifiziert) ist der perfekte Ort für Kinder, um zu spielen, zu schwimmen, zu schälen und nach Seeglas zu suchen. Dieses 1920er Haus wurde im Jahr 2004 umgebaut und 2013 nach dem Kauf erneut modernisiert. Es ist eines der größten Wohnhäuser der Stadt, das auf 3 1/2 eingezäunten Grundstücken steht und zum Entspannen einlädt, während die Kinder spielen. Das Haus hat überall Parkettböden nachgearbeitet. Die erste Etage verfügt über ein großes Hauptschlafzimmer mit einer übergroßen Badewanne und einer begehbaren Dusche sowie einem privaten Balkon. Alle neuen Geräte in der gesamten Küche und im Hauswirtschaftsraum, eine begehbare Speisekammer, ein Essbereich für 12 Personen, ein großer Wohnbereich sowie eine abgeschirmte Veranda für nächtliche Cocktails und Gemeinschaft. Gehen Sie in den zweiten Stock (in einer der 2 Treppen, die die Kinder LIEBEN!) Ein komplett renoviertes Badezimmer, ein Doppelstockbett-Kinderzimmer, 2 Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und ein voll ausgestattetes Schlafzimmer. Eine Etage höher befindet sich ein ausgebauter Dachboden mit einem Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten sowie einer halben Badewanne. Es gibt eine halbe Badewanne neben der Küche, einen Kellerraum und eine Außendusche mit einem zusätzlichen Cottage, in dem Fahrräder, Liegestühle und ähnliches untergebracht werden können. Die Unterkunft bietet einen Parkplatz im Hinterhof sowie Parkplätze an der Straße und verfügt über 2 Warmwasserbereiter sowie 2 in Zonen aufgeteilte zentrale Lufteinheiten. Wir haben alle Anstrengungen unternommen, um das fantastische Feedback unserer ersten Immobilie zu duplizieren und sie zu einem "Zuhause in der Ferne" zu machen.

Labor Day fun

This house has everything you could possibly want for a perfect stay in Cape Charles. The kitchen is well-appointed, and there was plenty of room for our multi-family group of 14. We even had an extra unused bedroom! It has all the charm of an old house, but with modern amenities too. Very close to the park and beach, and a huge backyard for the kids to run in, chargers for your golf carts, and an outdoor shower! Check in was easy, Jenn was a wonderful host! We would happily stay here again!

Four generations together

We rented the largest house with a first floor bedroom in Cape Charles. We spent a full week. The house is perfect for a large gathering. Room in the alley to park three golf carts and a car. The attic top floor bedroom is very comfortable.

Great vacation home

This home was very spacious, well maintained and in a great location. It had plenty of room for our large family group of 9 adults and 4 children. It was especially nice to have the spacious first floor master wing, the large screened in front porch with a porch swing, spacious yard and ample seating areas in the living room, dining room and kitchen.

Large home perfect for kids

We stayed over a long weekend in September with my kids, parents and siblings and had a fantastic time. The kids loved the bunk room and toys, and had a blast with the floats at the beach. Jenn was very communicative and made sure we had a pack n play and booster seat for my 1 year old, which was so thoughtful. The house is right next to the park which was great for playground visits. Overall this is a great home for large families.

Great stay

This house was great! Very close walk to the beach. It was perfect for our group which had multiple families with young children and babies. Plenty of room to spread out and the house was stocked with all the essentials.

Great Weekend

We so enjoyed our stay in Cape Charles. Jen, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. The weather was not the greatest but it didn't bother us a bit - there was plenty of room to spread out at the house. The kids played on the front porch and we were able to enjoy the beach later in the day. The house is perfect for a big family! Thanks for allowing us to stay.

Great week at Cape Charles

This house was perfect for the two families staying. We had four adults and four kids total. There were not many homes with enough bedrooms for our group to pick from and we couldn't be more pleased with the week we had at this property. The house lay out was great for our group. The younger kids enjoyed the third floor loft room and the screened in porch was perfect for a few rainy evenings. Great location and great house for a CC get away. Also worth mentioning that communication with owners was great all along. And when we got home we realized my daughter left a stuffed animal. Jenn was able to find it and mail it back to us which meant a lot. We'd stay here again for sure!

Great area and nice house.

A charming old house. The front porch, living room, dining room, and kitchen are amazing living spaces. The downstairs bedroom is also nice. The 6th attic bedroom is just that-useable but an attic room for sure. The owners were wonderful communicators.

Excellent location and kid friendly home.

This was our second year to stay at SLII. We love the location, easy walk to the beach, park and town. The house is well-equipped for families, plenty of space and lots of nice details like beach toys, family games & DVDs. Owners are very nice; you can tell they care about your experience.

Wonderful Vacation Home in Cape Charles VA

We spent a wonderful week in beautiful and quaint Cape Charles VA on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Southern Living II is a lovely home, with large, comfortable rooms that are very well appointed. A large kitchen that is extremely well equipped leads out to a large yard with ample off-street parking via the rear alley. Master Bedroom is huge, as well as the Master Bath. Upstairs bedrooms are roomy, with a terrific room for the kids (four bunk beds!). All the way up on the third floor is a spacious attic bedroom with space for several more. The living and dining areas are great and can comfortably seat a large crowd. A/C works great, and it is a quick walk to the beautiful beach, bay, and shops. Get a golf cart or just stretch your legs...Central Park is a half block walk and just lovely. Perfect location close to everything. Great restaurants for eating out or taking out. The owners have thought of everything, and I can't think of anything they missed. We truly look forward to our next visit to Cape Charles and Southern Living II !

Great for larger families and kiddos!

I'd love to rent this house again in the future - lots of room to spread out, well appointed kitchen, comfortable mattresses, fenced-in yard, screened porch and a location to die for. Owners are very easy to work with and quick to respond.

Cape Charles Southern Living

While in Cape Charles for a wedding, we stayed at Southern Living. It was a nice big house, well equipped and very close to our venue and easy walk downtown. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore, and would like to come back again sometime for another long weekend.

Great House!

We rented this home for a quick end of summer vacation in August of 2014. The house is everything the pictures show and so much more. The house is in great shape, clean, and really is large enough to sleep 15 comfortably. The owners did an excellent job answering my questions and were able to work us in despite this being a last minute trip. I also was impressed there were no hidden fees or taxes added on, the price is the price, plus a reasonable security deposit. Our family included 4 young children ages 3 to 8 and the fenced in, shady yard was nice for them to play in when we were not at the beach. The front porch is screened in and a great place to enjoy the breeze. This was our second trip to Cape Charles and Monroe Ave is a very quiet street with little traffic. We were able to take a short walk to the beach and to the ice cream parlor, Brown Dog Ice Cream was a big hit with the kids. Cape Charles and the Eastern Shore are a great place for a relaxed vacation. The people in the town are real Virginia people, friendly and glad to have visitors. The town beach is great, especially for young children. My 3 year old niece could play in the water without worrying she would get knocked over by a wave and my sister commented it was the first beach trip where she was able to actually relax on the beach without worrying about rip tides & rough water. If you are looking for a relaxing place to unplug, I highly recommend Cape Charles & this home.

Flip Flops are mandatory!

First the property: Owners were wonderfully helpful and great communication throughout booking and stay. The house and yard are just amazing. It was very roomy and had all the comforts of home. (we especially enjoyed the music CD selection in the kitchen) The photos are very true to what you'll find when you arrive. Great value! We stayed with our extended family of 4 families and a total of 13 people and we had plenty of room to relax and truly enjoy some together time. As for Cape Charles - this is just the perfect little vacation spot if you are looking for peace and quiet. The beach is fabulous for young children - shallow, sandy and gentle waves. Our little ones had a phenomenal time playing. It's the type of town where you can walk to everything and is super quiet, but there are just enough shops and tasty restaurants to enjoy the week you're there. (Brown Dog ice cream rocks!) Don't hesitate to book this property - you definitely won't regret it.

Awesome house and yard !

We have just returned from a great week at Cape Charles. This house is wonderful. The yard was perfect for the grandchildren to ride their scooters in the front and the big "kids" to play corn-hole and sit and talk under the big shade tree. The master bedroom was perfect for my husband and I to have a nice large space to get away to at the end of the day. Friendly neighbors , just loved it . We will be back !

Loved our vacation at Cape Charles! The home is located about a block from the beach and a block from town. Beautiful home! The front porch was wonderful! Great kitchen! We would love to return. Loved it!!!

Spent and entire weekend with 8 other women for an all-girls trip. The home was spacious, clean & had everything we needed for fun & relaxing weekend. Loved the town. Very friendly people & we were able to walk everywhere. We look forward to renting again in the future. I would highly recommend this home for any type of get-away.

Back to Basics...Simple living, Relaxing setting, Historic Quaintness

This spacious house was a perfect destination for a girl's weekend getaway. The beach is just a quick walk away. The home is simply decorated and up to date while keeping its historic beauty. I will be back!!!

After acquiring our first house in Cape Charles, we pursued this beautiful dutch colonial right across the street that we have always loved. We are a family of 6 with 4 now teenagers (we purchased this home when they were all under 4!) We come to Cape Charles as much as we can, as our primary home is in Maryland, and our other summer home is 20 minutes North in Eastville on the water... We hope to make this town our next move in the next 2 years

We started coming to Cape Charles from Connecticut in 2008 and knew we wanted to make this our hometown some day. This spacious property offers 6 bedrooms. It easily allows for 8-11 adults along with 4-6 kids to enjoy a vacation without climbing over each other. The house has so many areas to relax in including a gaming room From the front porch, side porch, gardens in the yard, and the proximity to everything is great. Monroe Street is the quietest street in town, that has a tree lined peninsula. The park also breaks up the street so this end of Monroe has very few cars that travel through it.
