Eingebettet in eine Kathedrale von Old Growth Redwoods auf 72 Hektar der Santa Cruz Mountains, ist dieses Treehouse einzigartig für die ruhigen, naturliebenden Abenteurer. Hohe Decken und Solar Lichterketten. Wendeltreppe aus Eiche führt Sie zu Ihrem "Nest", ein Queen-Size-Bett mit frischer Bettwäsche und Kissen zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Treppe hinunter ist eine winzige Veranda mit einem Bistro-Essbereich, in dem Sie Wein von einem lokalen Weingut schlürfen können, während Sie auf den mondbeschienenen Teich und die Wiese, das gesprenkelte Licht in den Bäumen, blicken.
Auch eine große Königin Futon und Ottomane im Familienzimmer die Treppe hinunter, eine Bibliothek von alten, gesammelten Bücher auf verschiedenen Regalen angeordnet. 300 Quadratfuß .. in der Nähe von mehreren Wanderwegen.
Zu den Wildtierbeobachtungen gehören Rehe, Rotschwanzfalken, Eulen (besonders nachts zu hören), süße kleine blaue Baucheidechsen, Truthähne und wilde Pfauen, unter vielen anderen scheuen Tieren wie Fuchs, Schildkröten, Koi und selten (wenn wir Glück) Bobcat.

In der Nähe von allem, Silicon Valley und Santa Cruz haben zu schönen Restaurants, Live-Musik, Weinproben und State Parks (Big Basin und Henry Cowell) für erstaunliche Wanderungen und Veranstaltungen. San Francisco, Monterey ist eine gute Stunde Fahrt nördlich und südlich.

Vintage Clawfoot Badewanne / Dusche unter einem Baldachin aus Redwood Zweige und Lorbeer, geben Ahornbäume eine neue Bedeutung "Whirlpool". Instant und reichlich heißes Quellwasser ..... Die Vintage Clawfoot Badewanne / Dusche befindet sich unter den Sternen in einem privaten Redwood Enclosure mit einem abschließenden Tor. Das Tor hat ein kleines Schild, das an der Außenseite aufgehängt wird, wenn Bathtub benutzt wird. Dieser Bereich wird nur von einem anderen Cottage geteilt, das normalerweise von einem süßen Paar oder einer einzelnen Person bewohnt wird!
Die gesamte Beleuchtung, sowohl im Innen- als auch im Außenbereich, ist entweder mit Solar- oder mit Batterie betrieben. Wir haben eine Handy / Gerät Ladestation, falls erforderlich ...

Spring reset

What a lovely property. I stayed in early March- Chilly! Space heaters provided and amazing electric blankets which @ this time of year were needed.Loved the tub, perfect space for 1 or a couple. Really serene and peaceful- thank you!

Great Getaway!!

This was such a great little place! Very cozy and unique. Only issue was the heat- it wasn’t insulated and it got pretty warm. But nothing that fan they provided couldn’t handle. My fiance and I really enjoyed and made use if the the outdoor shower and tub! All in all a REALLY cool space and place to stay! Unique experience!!

Romantic Nature Getaway

My partner and I enjoyed a long weekend in this secluded mountain woods treehouse. While no shower or central air was unfamiliar at first, the outdoor tub and natural shade made for a very refreshing retreat.

Fantastic, but pay attention to the details

This property is as close as you can get to redwoods and be inside. It’s quite magical. Driving in on the driveway splashed with green boughs is sublime, as is the smell.I think the description and pics are pretty good, but it's worth knowing out a few things:- You probably can't communicate electronically to the host or anyone else when you're actually there - no reception or wifi.- The bed is as cozy as it looks.- Watching the deer graze in the meadow is pretty nice.- The bathroom really only has hanging bamboo "door" so not super private. But the sink and toilet are nice and new.- The open-air tub is a few hundred feet away and collects a bit of grime and hadn't been cleaned that day, but it didn't bother me because I just used the hand shower. I assume there is hot water but I used cold.- I think the Kirkland shampoo makes my hair really soft.- There's no insulation and little heat (per the pics). There's a string of purple lights downstairs I couldn't turn off but it didn't bother me because I'm not that light sensitive.- The water is untreated so bring drinking water if you're not adventurous like that.- The vehicle gate needs a touch of oomph to open, and watch your feet for the extended wheels. Should be fine for most people. There is a short drive at the end on wood chips but it is well-maintained. It adds to the atmosphere.I would be sure to ask about anything you're not sure about. For me it was exactly what I expected.

Perfect Respite....

A huge thank you to George for a wonderful stay! This was a welcome respite from a hectic city life. Although chilly (for me) in December/January, George was extremely communicative about bringing cozy clothes. The heating pad on the bed is brilliant as it allowed for longer than normal morning's in bed... listening to the birds and enjoying peering out the window at the trees. Thank you again for providing and maintaining this special space for us to enjoy! I'll be back in the Spring + Summer!

Love the treehouse and surrounding property, but ...

Although I love being in the treehouse and enjoying the surrounding property and wildlife (deer and wild turkeys), one of the bed covers/blankets had some small twigs clinging to it. Also, I would enjoy spending time by the pond, but both times I have stayed ... the pond has been completely covered by scum/algae.

Best Staycation EVER

If you are looking for a getaway, then this is the BEST place. Granted, it is winter, and it was COLD, but in the most amazing way. This house is beautiful and feels almost magical. With the large pond and deer and wild turkeys roaming in the field in front you don't feel like you're so close to the city. There was also a post about the land and restoration upon entering the driveway that was so cool. I would definitely recommend bringing a power strip to be able to charge multiple phones and extra blankets if you are going during a cold season. We layered on the blankets and clothes and were fine. We will definitely be booking again during each season to get a different experience. This is definitely a GEM and we LOVED it!

Hidden Gem

If you watched Swiss Family Robinson as a kid...well this is as close as I have even gotten to staying in a tree house like that!! It was so cozy and romantic for our honeymoon trip. It was secluded but very close to amenities. It was so cool to sleep in the redwoods. Nice touches throughout.

Very Nice & Cozy

This place is so cute and cozy. It was so quiet and peaceful. Great place to get away and be alone. They provide lanterns and battery candles that I was so grateful for. It gets really dark! I would stay here again.

I'll be back

Loved my time in the tree house. Needed a getaway to relax and read, so it was a plus that the tree house had so many windows, so that when I tired of reading, I had relaxing views ... The deck was lovely early in the morning and at dusk. The interior's rustic quaintness made it hard to go outside. Loved seeing deer and hearing owls at night. Only negative: the pond needs to cleaned. Thank you!

Amazing Getaway

My husband and I were on an extended vacation and after almost two weeks this was a much needed 2 day getaway from the hustle and bustle of being tourists!! Our experience was one will not soon forget!! George was excellent from making our reservation to answering all our questions promptly and efficiently!, thank you for that!! If I had to complain about anything it would be that it rained most of the time we were there 😞 If you’re looking to relax for a few days with no noise just quiet nature then this is for you!!

Great Escape

This is a great place to stay if you want to unplug. George was very clear about the property and was very accommodating as we were running 6+ hours behind on getting to the property. This is truly a place to unplug and re-energize. The outdoor bath/shower was really relaxing. Would love a little coffee maker as a coffee on the porch would be amazing in the AM. Thank you George for an amazing stay.

An adventure with nature

We had an unforgettable time at the treehouse in the Santa Cruz mountains. The property was just as George described it, and being able to be surrounded by nature was exhilarating for us. Weekend away

This was a cute place to stay at with my partner and has always been a dream of mine to stay in a tree house. Listing was as described. The pond area and out door seating / chairs were a nice touch but also I think need to be updated a bit. It is a shared bath space with another listing but that did not really bother us. We couldn't hear or see them while they were there and was close to the city to go and grab food.
