Das Hotel liegt 15 Meilen östlich von Ludington, 14 Meilen westlich von Baldwin und durch den Manistee National Forest. Dies ist ein großartiger Ort für Trail Reiten, Wandern und genießen im Freien, mit Zugang zu einem öffentlichen Boot launch1 / 2 Block entfernt auf Long Lake. Great Expierience

Very cozy. Well stocked , no need for anything because they thought of everything you may need. Clean. Many options for entertainment. Movies to watch, games to play, books to read, cozy camp fire, yard games and so much more. We will definitely go back

Red Cabin delivers!!

We came to the area for my husbands disc golf tournament. Little did we know we had found the perfect haven of rest for our down time. Elly and Dave have created such a cozy nest. There is seriously EVERYTHING you need at the Red Cabin. Although this time we came only with the two of us, we could easily have hosted a gathering for with friends/family with the outdoor space provided- a gazebo for games, a carport converted into seating for many, a campfire for s’mores with chairs surrounding it,and 5 kayaks. Inside the cabin is cozy, cute and also well equipped. The kitchen is complete! And, I when I locked myself out, Elly answered on the first ring greeting me by name. I was back in the cabin in 5 minutes. Thank you Elly for everything!

Another pleasant stay!

This is our second time staying at the cabin and it was just as nice as the last. The cabin has everything you need and communication with the owner is always great. Neighborhood is nice and quiet so after a long day in downtown Ludington, it’s nice to come back to the peace and quiet.

Private and serene

This property is perfect for a romantic get away. It has all the amenities and more, just like being at home. Elly has gone out of her way to be accommodating to us. There are so many sitting areas in nature and the bonfire area was beautiful. It is wonderful that it has a covered area in case of rain. Perfect for morning coffee. We will probably be back our next trip to Ludington since everything is so close. Nice job!

Perfect Couples Retreat

The Little Red Cabin was a perfect destination for our romantic weekend getaway. Elly’s attention to detail was superb; everything was thought of. The cabin that has it all

We absolutely loved the red cabin in the woods. Has everything you could want. The weather didn't cooperate for us to enjoy outside however it was really nice to be able to just relax. The bed is very comfortable and soft. Highly recommend!

Quaint cabin

1903 original log cabin with country /lake cabin theme decor! Loads of charm. Comfy king sized bed. Sleeps more than 2 but perfect for a couple. Lots of outdoor living space but the weather was too chilly in for us to take advantage. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Red Cabin Retreat a Slice of Heaven

This was just perfect and there truly was nothing missing. This place had it all. From location, peaceful,quaint and cozy and every amenity and more was there! Our host and her property manager are just wonderful! Never did I ever expect a birthday and anniversary wishes from her. True angels and it was not coincidence we found this location to stay. Home Away From Home

Red Cabin Retreat is very welcoming and relaxing. Felt like we were staying with close friends or relatives. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and more. The outdoor area is very spacious and has many extra amenities that allows you to kick back and relax, such as the gazebo, fire pit, swing, etc. Perfect getaway!

Awesome cabin for a great trip

What a wonderful cabin! No matter how long you stay, it won't be enough. So many neat touches throughout the cabin, was plenty big for our family of four. Long Lake is only 100 meters from the cabin - you can go fishing or kayaking - and there are plenty of options to explore local beaches and landmarks. Awesome place and Elly was a great host. Would definitely come back!

The property was decorated very nicely (great "upnorth" feel). The elderly man that showed us the property found out we were there for our honeymoon and offered us a free night which I thought was really sweet. They had absolutely everything you would need for a great stay there and although the cabin is not right on the property you are just a stone's throw away from a beautiful public access. In all fairness though I have to say it looked like it had been a while since the property had had a thorough cleaning. Other than that everything was wonderful.

The Red Cabin exceeded expectations. The property is fun and even better than the pictures. The Cabin itself was fun and had everything we needed and more. Bob was an amazing property manager and gave us all the information we needed and had great recommendations for the area. We are already looking for an opportunity to return.

My Friend’s Review

We had planned a holiday weekend at this property because we enjoyed it so much last year. Due to some unexpected events, I ended up gifting my reservation to my dear friend. This is her review: Recently, my son and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Red Cabin Retreat in Fountain, Mi., very close to Ludington, on Lake Michigan. Not only was the cabin charmingly rustic in its decor, but it was also fully equipped with all modern appliances. In addition, our host had supplied guests with many little convenience items, such as one might have forgotten to bring! There were snacks and bottled water placed in the cabin; nothing was overlooked, it seemed.! Our host kindly gave us a history about the house, and offered information about the area, where we might find groceries, gas, and other shopping venues. We will definitely return to this lovely place sometime in the future!

Relaxing Summer Getaway

This was a great place to relax/recharge for a few days! We lucked out with beautiful weather and spent most of our time outside. Communication with host Elly was amazing as was the tour of property provided by property manager Bob. We brought food for breakfasts and lunches, but really enjoyed the deluxe thin crust pizza from Branch Grocery and highly recommended!
