Sehr bequeme und helle Wohnung im 4. Stock in der Nähe des Meeres, zehn Minuten zu Fuß in die Stadt. Eine geräumige Wohnung mit Balkon. Zwei Schlafzimmer 1 mit 140 cm Bett, andere mit Schlafsofa (140 x 200 cm) Bad mit Wanne und Dusche, Küche gut ausgestattet und ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer. Die Wohnung befindet sich im 4. Stock, aber es gibt einen Aufzug aus dem Erdgeschoss Um die Ecke haben wir ein Lebensmittelgeschäft und berühmte Jói Fel Bäckerei.

Perfect stay

I really could not say anything negative about this apartment at all. From making first contact, to receiving instructions on how to access the building etc etc it was just perfect. We have stayed in lots of rental properties around the world and this is absolutely one of the best. I spoke with Jon prior to arrival and then he met us at the apartment. He gave us a tour of the apartment and lots of info on what to do (and not do) in the city. The apartment is quiet and really lovely and warm. The warmth was a lovely surprise as we weren't sure what to expect. Jon explained that heating comes from geothermal energy so is plentiful. With essentials including bread, milk and butter all supplied for us this was a great start to our stay, where we had the most incredible display of the northern lights, saw three whales and visited the local outdoor pool. We would love to visit again. Many thanks.

Wonderful stay!!

The apartment was perfect for a small group! All the amenities were wonderful and very clean! Awesome location by the water and short walk to town center. Alda greeted us and gave us lots of local recommendations, and even gave us some local foods to try! Would stay here again!

August Iceland visit

This was the perfect property to rent for a visit to Iceland! It was in the perfect location, close to restaurants and right by the water. It was even better than we expected. Alda was wonderful to communicate with. We highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Iceland.

Spacious, comfortable apartment

4 adults enjoyed our stay at this comfortable apartment. Every amenity was available including washer and dryer. Parking was easily available and few. The owner was timely and attentive to our questions. Don’t miss the ocean views from the shares roof deck area.

Great location and plenty of parking

This place is in a great location and very clean and comfortable. We rented a car and never had a problem parking as well. You can walk easily into Reykjavik and also get out of town easily as well. Very kind host and would answer any and all questions we had.

Perfect!

This was our second time staying at Alda’s apartment. Everything about it is perfect. Location is amazing, quiet and right by the water but also a short walk to shops and restaurants. The apartment is beautifully decorated, kitchen well equipped, comfortable, and clean. Alda herself is very sweet and easy to work with and made sure our stay was perfect.

clean and comfortable apartment

Apartment was close to grocery store, restaurant, Aurora and Whale museum, downtown area, bus stand for the tours. Apartment manager prompt with response and was very gracious with early check in (9:00) and late checkout due to flight timings which was greatly appreciated. She also showed us around the apartment and explained everything with check in which was helpful as some of the writings on appliances was in icelandic which can be inconvenient for the only english speaking group.

This was a great apartment in a perfect location!

We were so fortunate to find this property available at the last minute! It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Grocery stores, restaurants, bars, many of Reykjavik's points of interest, and pick-up locations for our tours were all within walking distance. The ocean was right across the street! I would recommend Alda's apartment to any group of four people (we were two couples), and I would hope to stay here again if I were lucky enough to return.

Excellent location, nicely furnished, amazing deal for a two bedroom, and the nicest owner

Excellent communication while I was trying to rent this apartment. Apartment is so easy to get to from the airport. Alda met us at the apartment building. She showed us how everything works and answered all the questions we had. Apartment has an adjustable bed in one bedroom and a pullout sofa in the other. Very clean and perfect for our group. The tub was amazing and I soaked in there for hours a day because I wanted to get the benefits of the minerals in the water for my skin. My skin never felt better. Drinking water out of the tap is highly recommended. The best water in the world!! This apartment is a perfect location to walk to everything. The harbor has a walking path, great restaurants and all the boat tours are pretty much a 10 minute walk from there. If you want to go on an excursion around Iceland they pick up at the oddsson hostel which is the next block. So convenient!! 1 1/2 minute walk. Dominos pizza is in the building complex and subway and a great bakery is in the oddsson hostel complex. There are two grocery stores literally an easy walk 5 minutes. bonus( which is cheaper) has interesting things in there. I reccommend if you are going to be there for a while and traveling with multiple people I suggest going to Costco (which is on the way to the apartment from the airport) for food and then go to the bonus grocery store next door for smaller items that you don’t want to buy in bulk. I was able to buy just enough food for the 5 days I was there. I brought a 3 liter boxed wine with me from America in my checked bag because everything is so expensive there especially liquor. Buy duty free it will be cheaper than outside the airport. I used Sixt car rental because if you have any problems with it there is another location at the harbor. They offer a wireless hotspot that you can take with you so I was able to have internet and cell service everywhere I went, amazing!!! I carried it with me in my purse. We had the best time here and I will remember this vacation forever. You won’t be disappointed. I ended the day with a glass of wine FaceTimeing my friends in America from the balcony. Thanks Alda.

Perfect place to stay!

Alda’s apartment was absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet but only a few minutes walk to the harbor, restaurant, and shopping areas. Alda is extremely responsive and helpful. There was plenty of room for my husband, myself, and our two teenagers. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful!

Alda’s apartment was very clean and spacious for our family with two teenage daughters. It was close to downtown and right next to a wonderful walking/running trail near the water for those that like to exercise.
