An diesem Ort befand sich ein historischer Bootsladen im Besitz von Burton Norton, der Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts neben der Cedarville Bay klassische Holzboote baute und restaurierte. Das Bootshaus wurde in den 1980er Jahren erbaut und verfügt über Wohnräume, in denen Sie jetzt die zur Verfügung stehende Miete erleben können. Das Haus ist in einem nautischen Thema dekoriert und es gibt zahlreiche nautische Gegenstände, Bilder usw., die die Wände schmücken. Daneben gibt es eine Vielzahl von Büchern und Zeitschriften zu nautischen und anderen Themen. Entsprechend der Geschichte und dem Thema der Seefahrt sind die Bereiche Pantry (Küche), Heads (Badezimmer) und Mess (Essecke) kompakt, aber funktional. Im Gegensatz dazu ist das Wohnzimmer offen und geräumig und sehr offen. Die Glasschiebefenster öffnen sich zum Deck und bieten eine atemberaubende Aussicht.

Die Vermietung bietet einen Panoramablick auf das Herz von Cedarville Bay und die Les Cheneaux Islands auf einem 2018 neu renovierten Channel Side Deck! Die Aussicht vom Deck auf der dritten Ebene ist großartig, wie auf einigen Bildern zu sehen ist.

Das Gerät ist ein Drei-Ebenen mit 3 Schlafzimmern. Im ersten Stock Schlafzimmer 1 hat ein Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten, Schlafzimmer 2 hat ein Doppelbett und das Badezimmer im ersten Stock hat eine Badewanne. Im zweiten Stock befindet sich das Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem neuen Queensize-Bett. Der Schlafbereich im zweiten Stock neben dem Esszimmer verfügt über ein Tagesbett und ein Vollbad im zweiten Stock.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass sich in dieser Unterkunft eine Wendeltreppe befindet, um zu den Wohnbereichen im Obergeschoss zu gelangen. Die dritte Etage ist eigentlich nur eine halbe Etage über der zweiten Etage und ist durch eine teilweise Wendeltreppe verbunden.

Das Bootshaus enthält einen überdachten 30x30 Slip für alle, die ihr Boot mitbringen möchten. Der Bootshausbereich ist sowohl von einer Außentür als auch von einer Tür im 1. Stock zugänglich.

Beautiful view

We weren't sure what to expect from the photos, but chose this house because it is right on the water and is close to where our friends live. We are glad we did. The house is truly unique, with plenty of room for large groups, and the view is spectacular. We plan on coming back next summer.

Great stay

Very nice spot, deck was amazing, antiques and old maps were added bonus. We rented a pontoon one day and used the boat house. It was handy. Only drawback- I would invest in new mattresses for downstairs rooms but everything else was good. Thanks for a memorable trip.

Central location to many great destinations. Lovely home and amazing town full of friendly people. Beautiful views and space for all activities at the house. Water is nice and the view at night of the stars is something to behold. We all love going as a group and cant wait for the next trip.

Great deck

Lots of space. Great location. Great deck, view and gas fire pit. Great washer and dryer. The windows hadn’t been washed in a long time and were covered with spiders and dozens of large spider nests. This is an easy fix. Bring extra drinking water, as water from facet isn’t safe to drink. Owners were responsive.

Beautiful Views, but Major Issues with the House

The views from the deck are stunning, and the hosts generously provided propane for the grill and firepit. However, several issues detract from the stay. The dock shown in the photos is not part of the property, and this isn’t disclosed until after booking. The interior is functional but doesn't quite match the expectations set by the pictures. Issues included blinds in the kitchen that couldn’t be closed, missing electrical outlet covers, a non-functional upstairs shower due to leaking into the downstairs bathroom, and a leaking kitchen sink requiring towels to be placed underneath. Additionally, the fridge froze most of our food, and the controls were missing. The water for the house is pumped from the lake, which we were only informed of after a water outage. The hosts were responsive and came to adjust the pump, but the lack of notice was frustrating. The house itself noticeably slants, especially on the third floor. While the views are indeed beautiful, the price doesn't justify the many hazards and inconveniences. Lastly, communication was inconsistent, with multiple check-in sheets listing different contacts. The hosts were friendly and responsive to issues, but we won’t be returning despite the town and scenery being exceptional.

Location and View is Amazing

Our family gathered for a very special get together honoring a passed loved one. The deck and view is out of this world. Super responsive to inquiries and needs of water, propane and trash needing attention. We managed fine; but it's a 3 story accessible with 2 sets of stairs/ could be difficult with someone compromised. Kitchen could use a little sprucing up/ liners in cabinets and some updated cookware-. Will absolutely stay here again as the deck and boathouse are an incredible gem for this area!

Amazing amount of nautical history at this home! The location is great and the the deck overlooking the bay is absolutely the best part of the home. The boat garage is a close second ... so cool to dock boat right inside the house! would highly recommend to bring a boat, or rent one... the Les Cheneaux Islands are and awesome place to boat & fish.

Can’t beat the setting

Check-in was awkward, lockbox was open with no key, and neither outside door was locked. Front door barely closes and would have needed a skeleton key. We found the key to the back door (into the boat house). We figured out that it was a bad idea to fully close the front door anyway because it was very difficult to get it open when fully closed. Carpets were very dirty, many cobwebs, lots of dust, many burned out light bulbs and missing silverware for basic table settings. I ended up investing 4 hours to vacuum all 3 levels, remove cobwebs, dust, change light bulbs and buy silverware at the thrift store. This was time well spent since it really brightened up the place. After the cleaning, it was the perfect place to spend our vacation. By the way, we were in contact with Lindsey throughout the initial and middle stages of our stay, and she was very responsive and apologetic for the state of the property. The needed light bulbs were furnished, part of the cleaning fee was refunded, and a gift of wine was provided for our inconvenience. It really is the perfect location, and some of the features can’t be beat. The deck is as amazing as it looks. The gas fire pit is awesome, as is the grill. Picture this: kicking back during the day with a glass of wine, watching the boat traffic go by, watching an incredible sunset, then firing up the fire pit, reclining your chair and getting lost in the Milky Way that stretches from horizon to horizon. The Sandhill Cranes that roam the neighborhood provide endless photo opportunities. We also rented an old 25-horse runabout from Hills Point Resort for our entire stay and parked it downstairs. Where else can you do that? We used it to explore the islands, which contain a couple of parks accessible only by boat. And don’t miss the distillery (they also brew a wide variety of beers). The beer, spirits and food are all very good. Overall, a fantastic experience that made us forget the rocky start.
