Diese sonnige, wunderschön eingerichtete, voll möblierte Wohnung befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäude der Bürgerkriegs-Krankenstation, das in den 1860er Jahren die Straße vom Vermont College Green heruntergerollt und dann mit jeglichem modernen Komfort ausgestattet wurde! Die Wohnung ist gemütlich im Winter mit vielen Fenstern und Sonnenschein und kühl im Sommer mit A / C in den Schlafzimmern, wenn Sie das Gefühl haben, dass Sie es brauchen. Die Wohnung verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche und ein Badezimmer mit allem, was Sie brauchen könnten. Hartholzböden tragen zum Charme bei. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer - 2 Zimmer haben Queen-Size-Betten und 1 hat einen König. Es gibt ein zusätzliches Kinderbett und eines der Queen-Schlafzimmer hat eine Couch zum Entspannen und kann auch als Wohnzimmer dienen. Auf dem Landeplatz gibt es jede Menge Bücher und Spiele, und ich habe immer spezielle Stofftiere und Spielzeug für Kinder im Alter von 12 Jahren dabei. Unser Garten bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf den Kamelbuckel und das Tal mit dem Hauptgebäude und der Innenstadt. Wir heißen unsere Gäste willkommen, um bei Sonnenuntergang Cocktails zu genießen oder zu grillen. (Fragen Sie einfach, damit wir uns mit unseren anderen Gästen abstimmen können.) Das Haus liegt in Gehweite zur Innenstadt, ganz in der Nähe des College Green und des VCFA-Campus sowie vieler Attraktionen und Resorts in der Umgebung, darunter Stowe, Sugarbush, Trapp Family Lodge und Bolton Valley (alle 30-40 Autominuten entfernt). Das Mountainbike- und Nordic-Center Morse Farm befindet sich direkt am Berg in Montpelier. Die Kellogg Hubbard Library in der Stadt bietet viele Veranstaltungen für Kinder, ein örtliches Freizeitzentrum mit Tennisplätzen, mehreren Ballfeldern und einem Pool. Es gibt einen Stausee zum Kochen und Schwimmen im Sommer und viele Flüsse und Bäche zum Spielen und Angeln mitten in der Stadt. Wir haben Kajaks, Langlaufski, Schneeschuhe und andere Sportgeräte, die wir gerne mit Ihnen teilen. Montpelier ist ein großartiger zentraler Ort für Tagesausflüge, und wir sind gerne Ihr Reiseführer. Schauen Sie sich den Zeitplan von Montpelier Alive und die Website der Stadt sowie das Lost Nation Theatre an. Burlington und der Lake Champlain sind eine 35-minütige Autofahrt entfernt und Wanderwege erreichen Sie nach 20 bis 30 Minuten zu den Wanderwegen Camel's Hump und White Rocks / Hunger Mountain. Lovely visit to Montpelier

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment - a real slice of historic Montpelier. Beth, the owner, was vey welcoming. Unfortunately, we had to shorten our stay, but Beth was very understanding and accommodating in this.

Lovely stay close to town

Lovely historic lodging in nice neighborhood and close to town. Beth greeted us on our arrival. So friendly and helpful. Beautiful garden and sitting area to enjoy the valley view and sunset. Easily walkable to town. Comfy beds. Would have enjoyed a sitting area to gather but the weather was wonderful so we spent a lot of time outside. Next time I hope to ask Beth more about the history of this building. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nice place and location, strange and misleading

Very nice, clean place, but there's a couple things that need to be clear in the ad. There's no washer/dryer, the owner offered to do laundry for a really high price. Three bedrooms but, effectively, one parking spot. And there's no real common area, one of the bedrooms is the only place to gather. Good location, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Great spot in Montpellier

Rented the 3BR which was perfect for a friend and I, and would have been comfortable for 6 easily. 15 min walk downtown and 30-35 to Stowe. Would recommend!

Great Place to stay for VT ski!

I spent two days with my kids (18 and 20 years) at Beth's place and had great time! Very conveniently located in Montpelier, allows for easy access for a bunch of ski resorts as well as the convenience of being in a city with good restaurants. Beth was just fantastic from the minute we booked the house. She waited to show us the house, which is very convenient for a group (3 spacious bedrooms). We had no trouble at all and really enjoyed our stay at Beth's place, and she checked in daily with us to make sure everything went well. I would highly recommend Beth's place!

Comfortable Clean Historical Home in Vermont’s Capital.

Very easy stay in a home away from home. We skied Stowe every day and the 1/2 hour commute to Montpelier gave our teenagers just the right amount of time to regroup before getting back to Montpelier to rest up for another Fay of skiing. The owner keeps this historical home very clean and cozy for our family of four to rest, read, cook and sleep for a very enjoyable week of play: snowshoeing, skiing in Stowe. Thank you.

Close to downtown Montpelier

This property is ideal for families or couples, as there are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen size and 1 with king size bed. We thought there would be a living room area, so the space was tight for us ( 5 single women). The owner was very responsive, and the location is ideal if you're wanting to spend time in downtown Montpelier.

Cozy apartment with accomadating host

We rented the first floor apartment and found it meet our needs. The host Beth was very helpful allowing my daughter and her children to settle in earlier than the expected time and providing a pack and play and high chair and toys. The living room is unusual because it has beds and a couch which means there isn’t really a common area to hang out in after people go to sleep.

Charming home with a great host

Beautiful Fall Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in the Artful Asian 2nd Floor apt. The space was clean and well appointed. Plenty of room for us (just 2), but also 2 additional bedrooms had space for at least 4 more. Beth and her family were very gracious, providing us with directions to town, recommendations on dining and shopping. We were also only 2 blocks away from our friends that live here and were able to walk to their house and also to the main street for dining. We would recommend this property, and we would stay here again.

Another fantastic rental experience!

This was our second time staying here, and we have nothing but great things to say about the property and its owner. Beth is not just extremely responsive but incredibly proactive and a very generous host. We've stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs apartments, and we would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone traveling with young children (as we did), or without. The apartments are lovely, and you will be in the best possible hands during your stay. We can't say enough good things. We're already dreaming about our next stay!

Very lovely stay

We stayed in this beautiful home during my sons graduation from Norwich. The home is very centralized to all areas! We had a lovely stay. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to have a TV. Beth was very accommodating! She always returned messages answering our questions in a timely manner. I highly recommend staying here.

Great Stay

Perfect Vermont Experience

This home was perfect. It was BEAUTIFUL, historic, cozy, and accommodating in an extremely convenient location. Montpelier is easy to hop on the interstate from, and this home was SO close to downtown Montpelier and the charming square of the local cottage. It was a very quiet street but near the action. Beth was an incredible hostess- Anything you could possibly want, need, or have forgotten for your trip was in that house. There were toiletries, first aid, even a lit makeup mirror and blow dyer. She was flexible, friendly, and attentive. The beds were extremely comfortable (we slept like rocks) and the house just oozed a cozy charm. We all had our privacy and comfort despite there being 6 of us. I would absolutely recommend this home and will likely rent it ourselves again. -A. Rebold

Our 2-bedroom apartment was just right!

I would recommend this lovely, inviting home to anyone who would like a quiet, comfortable alternative to Montpelier's hotel/motel offerings. It's an easy walk down hill to the heart of Montpelier (though not so easy going up!) and a great place to relax after a day of business or recreating. Beth was a most gracious and thoughtful host. She was exceptionally helpful and caring when a minor emergency arose in our party and generously communicative as we made our arrangements to book and arrive. The two bedroom suite (one bedroom adequately serving as sitting room) was perfect for our three-some, though the kitchen would be cramped for seating more than three at once. All was clean and well-maintained and just as described in the listing. The gardens and lovely view were a plus. The owner and family share this historic building with their guests, so loud music or partying are not appropriate. I would want to stay here again on a future visit to Montpelier.

Good Alternative to VCFA Dorms

I stayed at Beth’s cozy upstairs apartment with another student during the 10 days of residency at Vermont College of Fine Arts. The apartment is just 2 blocks from the college (a 6-minute walk) and a 10-15 minute walk into town or to the wonderful Hunger Mountain co-op. The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to do lots of cooking for my restricted health diet. The bed was comfortable, and the room was furnished with all the items I needed to feel at home— a dresser, bookcase, desk, mirror, and a closet with plenty of hangers. Beth was quite welcoming and responsive to my requests for extra supplies —like more dishtowels or hot pads—but also let us have our space. The wireless Internet worked well and the lack of TV was a plus for writing and reading. It’s a great place to stay for residency if you can’t stay in the VCFA dorms or would rather not.

I have created the apartments to be themed around the arts of different cultures, with real antiques I have collected through the years. This allows me to share my art collections and spread world cultural awareness, my favorite topic in education. I am an Artist and Art teacher and offer classes to my guests as well in my studio space. We love to share ideas with our guests about our favorite places to go, so please feel welcome to call and discuss any questions you have while planning your trip.

Our home was the Commandant's house at the Sloan Hospital, a Civil War Infirmary located down the street and active during the last 1.5 years of the Civil War. In the late 1860's the building became part of a Methodist Seminary, and then was sold and rolled down the street on logs to its present location. I am an architect and designed and built the back addition to the home, fully updating it and using materials which well matched its history.
People who stay here just love it, and the central location both in town and in the state. It is about a ten minute walk downtown to hear live music or see a movie. Day trips can easily be planned in all directions to see many wonderful natural, historic, and tourist sights and attractions.
I am told the beds are extremely comfortable, as well as the bedding, and take a great deal of time carefully cleaning between all of my guests, doing the work myself.
We really enjoy our guests, and can't wait to meet you!

Our house is on a beautiful quiet walking street, and centrally located in town. It is a ten minute walk to downtown, and quite near to Stowe and Sugarbush resorts, as well as to Burlington's airport and Lake Champlain. There is a city pool and reservoir you can bring our kayaks to. Hiking trails are 5-30 minutes away with spectacular views. There are lovely restaurants a walk away, as well as live music, and terrific bookstores and cafes.
