Herb Farm Glamping couples/group retreat, private!

This luxurious glamping experience is nestled in the center of an active medicinal herb farm and surrounded by green, rolling hills. You'll be able to enjoy the tranquility of country living without sacrificing modern conveniences. Great for hen parties, sleepovers, bridal parties, family reunions. Room can be converted into four twin beds upon request. Fairy lights and fluffy rugs complete the look! Inside the main tent, you'll find luxurious king-sized bed, two lounge chairs, a drinking water station, a Keurig coffee maker with a selections of coffee. And with enough outlets for all your devices, it truly is a glamorous camping experience. Near the main tents you can watch the wildlife or the beautiful stars in a private bubbling hot tub to soak your troubles away. We keep the hot tub cool during warm days to refresh and cool you right down. Within a short walk of the main tent, you'll find a couple hammocks nestled in a grove of trees overlooking a natural pond, an outdoor dining table, an outdoor movie screening area, and a beautiful herb garden with elderberry and aronia berries patch to walk through! The gardens are being expanded each year. Enjoy volleyball, badminton, and other outdoor games. Sit around the fire and enjoy the night sounds. Wood is provided and the hosts will start the fire upon request. There are many photo ops here. Make your stay memorable with great shots for social media. Feeders encourage birds to visit often - bird watchers be sure to bring binoculars! Occasionally you will hear coyotes, owls, crickets and cicadas. You might see deer, racoons, foxes, and opossums. Choose a night to enjoy your sundown free movie on our 150 inch outdoor screen. Choose from over 30 movies and then relax in comfy chairs with a blanket provided. We use ThermaCELL, non toxic mosquito control as well as citronella tiki torches. Outdoor hot shower is available at all times in a private enclosure. Ask about fresh vegetables and eggs for your stay or to take home. Our barn is home to fun animals; goats, chickens, pony, and angora rabbit. Ask about treats to feed them and see the barn. Five plus acres all to yourself! Trails will lead you through the area to commune with nature. Birds and other wildlife and an occasional car on the road through the forest are the only sounds you'll hear. We host a farm experience and an RV camping area so other guests will be visiting the herb garden occasionally but otherwise hosts are the only other people you'll see and only if you need us. Last but not least, a short walk along a lit path will take you to a quaint outhouse. You'll feel right at home with a full-sized toilet seat and an odorless ash composting system. Parking is free with a short walk through the gardens to the tent. Hand cart will be available at your parking site to assist with luggage. Guests will have full access to the tent, hammocks, movie area and walking trails. You will have approximately 5 acres to yourself. I'm Connie! I've been an herbalist for the last 30 years. Over the years I've built a medicinal plants garden where I teach classes. During the pandemic I felt sad that more people couldn't enjoy this beautiful place and breathe in this fresh air. So in 2021 my husband, Brent, and I decided to put up tents and create an area that could give anyone a chance to escape the stress and enjoy a time to refresh. Our daughter, Lindy, is a Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist with a thriving practice, right here on the farm, who is happy to give massages to our guests to increase the relaxation experience. She does massages in her spa or in the very private garden and you can pay her on site. Must book massages ahead. Mt Airy Herb Farm is surrounded by green hills occasionally inhabited by cattle. Sometimes you can hear them. At night the coyotes and owls sing you to sleep. Neighbors can be seen through the trees only on one side and are all very friendly and caring. Blacktop roads will lead you all the way to our driveway. Closest town is Huntsville. Casey's gas station is just a 10 minute drive from the farm. Moberly is 20 min away where you'll find Walmart and other stores and restaurants. Book a massage from our CLMT, for $90 per hour. The massage table is located in the spa building which is the red building by the house. You will book through me and pay her when you are here. There will be bugs. There will be dirt and maybe mud. There might be rain, (the tent is waterproof and can withstand high winds.} Bees might want to hang out with you. There will be pollen in spring and some in fall. We spray around the tent entrance but otherwise use as much of natural and organic method as we can. We have bees in and around the herb garden and they are our friends. We do our very best to keep the place as clean as possible but please keep in mind that you are in nature. It will show up! If you don't like nature, or are afraid of bugs, or can't stand the bees humming or flies buzzing or the night sounds in nature, please don't book. You won't be happy here. The hot tub might occasionally have a little debris in it but it will be clean and sterilized. Yard and indoor games are available from your tent or at the volleyball net.
