You Won't be Disappointed

From the bottle of wine and ginger snaps upon arrival to the use of poles and snowshoes, Frederica and Efram were the consummate hosts. Their studio was private, quiet, and well appointed with everything that we needed (including dog bowls for our four-legged friends!). We had a lovely time in the Berkshires, thanks in large part to their hospitality. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect Reset

Great Barrington Getaway

A lovely, private cottage with a beautiful view of the countryside. Very comfortable and cozy. It's great having a kitchen for not needing to eat out for every meal. Great walks are waiting for you outside the door. And there's a beautiful pool as well.

Superb Experience.

Frederica and Efrem have created a exceptional place to stay while visiting the Great Barrington area. The converted area below the garage includes a spacious, clean and well-appointed room with all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen. The grounds are exquisite. The pool is wonderful. And the location is perfect for an evening at Tanglewood or visiting surrounding towns. We travel with our golden retriever and her crate. Frederica and Efrem were most accommodating. This is a place we would return to without doubt, and which we would recommend without hesitation.

Super Wedding Anniversary Stay!

My wife and I stayed here with our dog Lily, as we celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. First time staying in The Berkshires. This was heavenly. The cottage was perfectly situated overlooking the mountains. And the POOL!. We loved it. During the day we would visit the towns-Great Barrington one day and Stockbridge the next. Afternoon was pool time! It was such a treat to be able to use it. It was a relaxing time. The cottage was perfectly roomy for the 3 of us. We felt comfortable. Great sleep after lots of outdoor activity. Frederica was awesome and we communicated many times before and during our stay to ensure all was good. And indeed it was. We would definitely love, love, love to return. Thanks so much Frederica and Efrem for letting us stay there. Very memorable!

Lovely place

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this lovely property. It lived up to the outstanding reviews in every way. Gorgeous pastoral setting, tastefully decorated apartment furnished with everything we needed - and with a beautiful view. The pool was fabulous as was our host. She was very easy to communicate with and very kindly stocked the fridge with seltzers, water and coffee cream - as well as coffee and some other staples. She also provided a list of suggested restaurants close-by and some recommended walks- several of which were from the apartment. I can’t say enough about the setting- it is stunningly beautiful and serene. We highly recommend.

Berkshire Retreat

Very relaxing, bucolic location with an amazing view. Beautiful swimming pool and grounds. We had everything we needed in our guest house, and Frederica was a very responsive host. We will try to stay here again on our next trip to Great Barrington.

Suddenly Summer in the Berkshires

My husband and I, and our two dogs passed a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend in Frederica's cottage. The weather was incredible and we enjoyed the fresh breezes blowing up from the valley below. Morning walks were magical along the quiet road, with heifers and calves in one field and sheep and their guard dog in another. If you are a hiker, there are more trails of all levels than you could possibly do in a short stay (you just have to go back!). Food in the nearby towns was fantastic, and easy to get to. Frederica and Ephram are awesome hosts, and keep both the house and the gardens well tended. It's a really beautiful place to stay.

Enchanting 'French Country' Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Frederica's guest house! The 'French country' vibe instantly made us feel at home. The pool and grounds were even more stunning than the photos. The highlight was definitely the pool area and the beautiful grounds. The relaxing atmosphere and natural surroundings provided the perfect escape! We were pleased to bring our two golden doodles along, although the on-leash requirement was a bit restrictive. Nonetheless, it didn't significantly impact our overall enjoyment. In summary, Frederica's guest house offers a charming retreat with its cozy interior, breathtaking pool, and tranquil ambiance. We appreciate Frederica for sharing this lovely space with us and look forward to returning in the future. If you are thinking about booking this vacation home, go ahead and do it! Best Berkshires Getaway By Far!

Our hosts were wonderful and thoughtful. The cottage was a perfect summer getaway and retreat for me, my husband, and our 4 year old. The pool was a huge hit with the little one and us. We made sure we took a daily dip. My toddler was ecstatic about the Hello Kitty toy waiting for her! The stay was perfect and our hosts met all of our needs. Can’t wait to return!

A Gem!

The view is gorgeous! Frederica is a wonderful host. We had a peaceful week with our little dog in her quaint cottage. It was roomy enough for us to work, eat and sleep without feeling crowded. It was our first trip to the Berkshires and we took short drives to the cute towns of Lenox (25min), Stockbridge (10 min), and Williamstown (1hr) Great Barrington is a quick five-minute drive down the hill with a lot of great restaurants, shopping and pop-up live music on the sidewalks. What's not to like?- it was awesome!

Wonderful getaway!

Beautiful, quiet country retreat an easy drive from many cultural attractions! Large and airy, with ample room for two, it's an easy place to spend a week without feeling a bit cramped, with great views and a thoughtful host who provided many extras and was always available but respectful of privacy. Views for Days

Absolutely gorgeous property. The views cannot be beat, especially from the pool. The space is cute and cozy, totally enough space for two. If you do nothing else on your trip, swing over to the Berkshire Mountain Bakery for a pizza and some ciabatta.

Gorgeous views & walks

The cottage is just perfect for a stay near Great Barrington. The windows have breathtaking views of farmland and Berkshires. Frederica is just a fantastic host: helpful and available, but not at all pushy. GB has some of the best food in the Northeast and hiking and walking and running--directly from the cottage and nearby--is stunning. This was my second visit and I look forward to returning!

Idyllic Location Minutes from Downtown Great Barrington

Quiet and cozy studio apartment. Tastefully decorated, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous views of the fields adjacent to the property with hills on the horizon. Easy check-in/out. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and a bar of gourmet chocolate.

We had a great time these last few days. This is a good location. We got to Tanglewood twice and also to the Mount and the Rockwell museum. This cottage is lovely. Love the beauty and serenity of the area. Enjoyed the use of the pool and the kayaks. The take out at Aroma was delicious. We are looking forward to going to the Clarke today. We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return.

Great Barrington Get-a-Way

We had a wonderful stay at this Great Barrington cottage. A lovely spacious one bedroom with kitchen and bath. Very convenient to all that the Berkshires have to offer. A beautiful view of the surrounding hills out of our window and a glimmering pool to boot! The hosts gave us all kinds of useful information beforehand about hikes and other nearby amenities. We will be going back!

This was our second stay, three weeks this time, and we will be back, fate willing. The photos are a perfect representation. Excellent shower, very comfortable bed, ample room for 2 (for us these basics matter), best views in the Berkshires, really, a beautiful bargain.
