Hübsch gestaltete Wohnung im dritten Stock mit hohen Decken in einem wunderschönen ehemaligen Bankgebäude aus dem 19. Jahrhundert aus der viktorianischen Zeit mit Blick auf einen Park und den historischen Smithfield Market. Die Wohnung verfügt über ein helles Wohnzimmer mit viel Licht, einen Küchenbereich, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und ein Badezimmer mit Dusche.

Die Lage hat auch die fantastische Gourmet- und Cafékultur von Smithfield und Clerkenwell vor der Haustür mit traditionellen Pubs, mit Michelin-Sternen ausgezeichneten Restaurants, vielen Cafés und großartigen Optionen für Familien- oder spätabendliche Mahlzeiten. Es ist ein perfekter Ort, um London zu genießen, mit all den berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Museum of London und die ursprüngliche römische Stadtmauer sind 4 Gehminuten entfernt. Pauls Kathedrale nur 600 Meter. Ein kurzer Spaziergang führt Sie über die Millennium-Fußgängerbrücke über die Themse zum Tate Modern Museum und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe der London Bridge und der Tower Bridge.

Es gibt ein Doppelbett im Schlafzimmer und im Wohnzimmer gibt es auch ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett. Beide Räume sind privat und können komplett abgeschlossen werden. Das Badezimmer in der Wohnung ist getrennt von beiden Räumen zugänglich.

Die U-Bahnhöfe Barbican (180 m) und Farringdon (3 min) sind zu Fuß in 3 Minuten zu erreichen. Der Bahnhof St. Paul's liegt ganz in der Nähe und bietet direkte Verbindungen zu den Flughäfen Luton, Gatwick, Stansted und Heathrow.

Perfect place to stay in London

Cosy, little flat in City of London - perfect location to walk to most of the beautiful attractions in London, very close to 3 tube stations, to lots of restaurants and bars, small shopping center very close to get some things for breaktfast. Beds are really comfortable. Although you are in the heart of London you do not hear very much - it is really quiet! In the kitchen you will find everything you need for your stay, we didn´t miss anything! The contact with Mok and Rolf was very easy and we got all the informations by time. We wouuld definately come back to stay there!

Wir waren 3 Tage als Familie mit unseren Kindern 9, 12 und 14 Jahre, dort. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön zentral gelegen und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Sie ist zwar klein, aber sehr sauber und hatte aber alles, was wir brauchten. Die Kommunikation mit Mok und Rolf war einwandfrei, alles klappte 100% zuverlässig.

Perfect home-base, Secure and comfortable!

We were in town for a wedding , and this location was PERFECT. Walkability to many sites, close metro and bus stops- we always felt very secure and safe- not only in the flat, but in the neighborhood.We had two adults and one teen, and greatly appreciated the extra room the flat provided versus a hotel room. Having our own washer/dryer was a game-changer, as well as a kitchen to save leftovers, shop at bourough market for fresh ingredients, and not have to eat out every meal.Communication with the owners was perfect. We greatly appreciated their helpful suggestions and advice. Once we figured out our ideal temperature in Celsius (lol), the heat worked perfectly, and we were very comfortable.I am honestly puzzled as to previous negative reviews- I can only conjecture that those guests were not prepared for any sort of big city living. There are normal city noises, including hearing trucks outside, water in pipes and occasional neighbor moving around. I can say this location was MUCH quieter than many places in New York or Chicago that we’ve stayed….. and much more pleasant!Beds were great- no complaints, and plenty of pillows so that everyone could find something that worked for them. The decor is minimal, but carefully curated- we enjoyed every print. Finally, we also appreciated the extra inverters, hair dryer, kitchen supplies,and packaged snacks and tea supplies. Highly recommended!!

Everything about the apartment was just as described. It was in a great location where restaurants and bars were right outside your doorsteps. It’s within 3 minutes of walking to the train and has a lot of other amenities right around the corner.

Great Owner and Easy Tube Access

Rolf was very helpful in preparing us for our stay. While the flat is small, it can support a family of four and has access to multiple tube stops. It was an accommodation that was perfect for our short 5 day stay in London.

It was okay- Hard to sleep

We booked this property bc it has AC & that is not common in London, but an amenity we wanted. (Also feel price reflects for this unit as it is more expensive than units in central London w/o AC). We confirmed closer to stay & we’re told it is not traditional built in AC or unit in apt. There’s a roll around unit you stick out the window. Too late to book anything else. During our stay it was warm in London (to us) & we had to roll the ac unit in from the hallway& put it in the living room as there is no space in the bedroom. The unit is across the street from a meat market that operates from 12 AM- 7 AM. It is LOUD. There are 18 wheelers, forklifts, etc. working all night long. We had to keep the windows open for the AC in the living room and the bedroom had no airflow so windows had to be open. No one slept. The mattress for the “bed(s)” in the living room are about 3inches thick. Slimmest mattress I have ever slept on. No one had a good nights sleep the entire time. The lift was also broken when we got there (no fault of the owner) but it was fixed. On our last night there, we took the elevator after a long day and it broke in between floors. We had to call the fire department. This unit is too small for 4 adults— we had three adults and one child and were always stepping on top of one another. With the trundle bed pulled out, you cannot walk around it into the rest of the living room/kitchen. Location is close to Elizabeth line which is nice but not any big landmarks.

Good value for money

Excellent location and nicely appointed. Didn’t notice noise from Smithfield Market as long as the windows were shut. Definitely mind the warnings about the lift as it’s very sensitive (3 of us ended up getting stuck at one point), but in general we had a very positive experience. Great base for exploring London, and it’s easily accessible to Heathrow via the Elizabeth Line. Would stay there again!

Great stay

The location is great, especially on weekends when it's quiet. I absolutely loved looking out at the city scape and the sky. With a park opposite you aren't fenced in at all. There is a wholesale night market 2am-10am which is noisy with windows open but with windows closed you can't hear it. The space is small but clean and had everything we needed. There is a foyer area which we found very handy for the clothes horse. The hosts were really helpful with all the info we needed. I'd stay there again for sure!

London Stay

Location: walking distance to many attractions; however, the area nightlife is quiet on weekends. In fact, there are only a couple of restaurants that are open and quickly reserved as pubs do not serve dinner on Sunday nights. Except in the bedroom, which is triple glazed, there is noise heard in the living/kitchen sleeping area throughout the night from the trucks unloading at the Smithfield Market across the street. Necessities: appliances work; most importantly, the beds are comfortable as as the linens. However, international guests would greatly benefit from more lamps (not harsh general lighting) to get through the dark hours of jet lag. Apartment: there was some thought put in to make the apartment attractive and unique (the painting scheme, antiques, dinnerware); however, there are a few things that do need to be replaced or repaired (missing towel bar; broken bedroom lamp; fraying "cut" carpet in the hallway) to prevent it from looking shabby. If these details were taken care of, then I would highly recommend the property to those using only the bedroom for sleeping (or for heavy sleepers).

A great apartment in London

We loved staying at this very reasonably priced apartment. Located in a great part of town, the apartment is steps away from amazing restaurants, bars, historical sites and the metro. We had great communication with the host before arrival and he checked in personally when we arrived. Don’t pass up this location when visiting London.

Superb!

We stayed in this lovely, clean and cozy flat as a family of 5 (kids ages 16, 18 & 19) for 6 nights. First of all, you cannot go wrong with the location! The proximity to the Tube means all parts of London (including airports) are easily accessible, not just the main attractions. The walkability is phenomenal as the Thames is a short walk, as is everything else that you find along the river. Around the area of the flat is wonderful with lots of pubs and cafes. The apartment itself was a perfect place to retreat to after a long day of walking around the city. It has a washing machine, which we really appreciated! The kitchen is perfect for making a breakfast of lunch before heading out for the day. The beds were comfortable and suited our family just fine. It was a bit hot and humid while we were there, so the air conditioning unit in the main living area and the fans in the bedroom were a godsend! We would definitely come stay here again. Thank you so much to Mok & Rolf for your open communication, and for allowing us to make your flat home for the week!

Nice location and comfortable

My family of 4 stayed in this flat during July 2019. The flat is small but comfortable, and the location is perfect. We had an easy time getting around London - we could walk to many attractions, and the Underground was easy to access for others. The upper floors can get warm in the summer; our children appreciated the small air conditioning unit. All appliances worked well and the unit was very clean. We would recommend the flat to others!

A great location.

We enjoyed the place and location. Also our relation with with the hosts was fluid. Our only regret was that the lift was not working and did not get repaired in the five days we spend in the flat. that would be a challenge for someone with mobility problems.

GREAT location, comfortable flat with great amenities

Easy access to 3 Tube stations (St. Paul's, Barbican and Farringdon). Comfortable beds and pillows. Good neighborhood, with some good restaurants/bars and grocery stores in the area. Less than 4 minutes walk to St. Paul's Cathedral. Washer/dryer works well and coffee maker/dishwasher/toaster/tea kettle/microwave make it easy to make breakfasts and dinners. Rolf responded quickly to any questions I had. The perfect "home base" for my family of 4 to explore London. Only complaints are that the wifi is slow and there wasn't any extra toilet paper in the flat. Highly recommend!

Great apartment in great neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming apartment. It was clean, very confortable and perfect for our family of five. The communication with Mok and Rolf was excellent and they were really helpful. The location was very convenient, we walked from there to all the main attractions and it was the best way to discover the city for the first time. We arrived from Gatwick airport and took the train to Farringdon station that was close by. We were not disappointed and we will stay there again.
