La Reinita wird übersetzt als "die Königin". Und eine Königin ist. Erbaut auf einem Hügel mit Blick auf den Pazifik war es eines der ersten Häuser in La Jolla vom ersten Dorfarzt gebaut. Aber bitte nicht die Idee, dass es alt ist, im Gegenteil, es ist sehr neu innen mit einer modernen Küche und modernen bequemen Möbeln. Hier treffen Geschichte und Zen aufeinander.

Sie betreten das Cottage durch ein schmiedeeisernes Tor hinter einem kleinen Bürogebäude. Ein Vorgarten mit Adirondack Stühlen und ein Whirlpool, der Sie im privaten Garten groß ist.

Beim Betreten Sie mit Holzböden, Panoramablick auf das Meer und ein wunderschönes Wohnzimmer begrüßt. Es gibt ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer und einen bequemen Stuhl, die auf einen großen Fernseher und eine elektrische Kaminheizung gerichtet sind. Zwei Stühle sind zum Lesen und Lesen am Meer eingerichtet.

Auf der rechten Seite, wenn Sie eintreten, befindet sich die Küche und der Essbereich für vier Personen. Fenster blicken auf dem Rasen mit einem schönen Garten. Das Motiv ist schwarz und weiß mit allen modernen Geräten und einer voll ausgestatteten Küche.

Auf der anderen Seite des Wohnzimmers befindet sich rechts ein Schlafzimmer. Sehr gemütlich mit einem Doppelbett und einem Badezimmer.

Auf der linken Seite des Wohnzimmers ist eine Außenterrasse mit reichlich Sitzgelegenheiten, Sonnenschirm, Feuerstelle und Whirlpool! alles in einem Blick auf den Ozean.

Durch die Tür zum Deck ist eine Wendeltreppe, die zu einem zweiten Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und 3/4 Badezimmer. Eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner sind gleich um die Ecke.

Die Farben sind weiß beige und blau, was es sehr Haus wie, aber mit einem starken Zen Gefühl des Friedens und der Komfort und Ruhe.

Amazing Location

The house was absolutely perfect for our stay. The view & location, absolutely perfect. We met the owner & she was so kind. With the cooler weather in the evening the hot tub & firepit were a great bonus

Adorable cottage and perfect location!

The cottage felt like home right away. The view and everything about it is as good or better than the pictures show. Having an outdoor space was a great perk! We could walk to everything - the Children's Pool, the tide pools, a trail, everything in town - it couldn't be a better location. Will definitely be coming back!

Fab location but super quirky

Quirky place in perfect location.Directions for getting in are long and unnecessarily complicated and extremely difficult if you arrive after dark. Downstairs bedroom smelled of mold and dank. Staircase to it is super narrow and treacherous.Place has seen better days but is clean. A few nice amenities. Overall we felt it was.expensive for what you got.

Beautiful views

Cozy , quiet and comfortable. Close to everything in La Jolla yet felt we were in our own little world. Property had all amenities, clean and all in working order . Despite rain our first 3 days we really enjoyed the cottage.

Adorable cottage in amazing location

This vintage cottage is nestled in a quiet spot, yet 1.5 blocks from the beach and steps from shops and restaurants. The hot tub and fire pit are great. We stayed with our three adult kids over xmas. This house does have a tiny spiral staircase down to one bedroom and if you're going to use the attic, very steep/deep stairs, so not for someone with orthopedic issues if they need to use those rooms

This was our fifth stay at the cottage. Another perfect stay. Great location and only one hour to the wineries in Temecula. Handy to have two bathrooms and the outside seating has new furniture. Very comfortable. We’ve already reserved for next year.

we had a great stay at this cottage! It has a nice view and was very comfortable. It is also walking distance to the beach and lots of great restaurants-would stay here if we are back in the area again.

Cute & Amazing Location but Old Tons of Potential!

Cute cottage hidden in the Village. PROS - location-View-Yard-Patio-has heat & air-Mirabel was very responsive & helpful l. CONS - older & dated-Windows, doors & shades don’t function properly- No dishwasher - no vent/fan in kitchen, fire alarm kept going off while cooking-No closet in upstairs bedroom (steep stairs to attic type of storage/closet-Steep/Small spiral staircase going to downstairs bedroom (daughter had a knee injury & was difficult to maneuver).

It’s our home away from home

This was our fourth stay at this cottage. Myself, my wife, her brother and his wife; ages range from 64-78 This is the perfect spot for us. An easy walk to many restaurants and the coastal walk. We usually hang out the afternoon we get in then on Thursday and Friday we head to the Temecula wine country. We visit old favorites and some new ones Saturday is the day to hang around lajolla. The cottage is perfect with two baths and two bedrooms. The deck is a relaxing place to spend our evenings Laura and Gabriela are wonderful to work with. Very quick on getting back to us in case of questions. I can’t think of another place in La Jolla that gives you downtown access and total privacy. We have already booked for next year and hope to keep coming back

Amazing La Jolla location!

This cottage is walking distance to everything in the Village of La Jolla: grocery, restaurants, waterfront. We were there a week. It's rustic but it grew on us due to it's amazing access to all that La Jolla has to offer.

Lovely little cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Jolla. The cottage is cute, quaint, peaceful and delightfully rustic. Loved the entrance covered in ivy. It seemed like our own little secret cottage. Loved it all! If I wanted to give any small area which could be improved upon, it may be the comfort of the living room furniture, but I dont expect ultra expensive comfy stuff. We coped and the trip was wonderful...thanks so much!

Beautiful, perfect location!

We stayed at this property for two weeks with our family of four (2 adults, one 4 year old and one toddler under 2). It was absolutely perfect and blissful. The views from the balcony and within the property are amazing and you can even hear the waves from the balcony. There little garden area was perfect for our littles ones. When you step into the garden from the street, it is instantly tranquil and quiet. This place was truly an oasis! It was about a 5 minute walk to Shell beach and within walking distance (2-10 minutes) of several restaurants. It is also within walking distance of several other La Jolla beaches besides Shell beach. The location could not have been more perfect for us. The property itself is well maintained and very quaint and charming. We thought it was absolutely lovely. The kitchen was stocked well enough to prepare some simple meals and there was ample space throughout for our family of four. The beds were comfortable and we felt very much at home during our stay. When we had questions for the property managers/owners, they were very responsive and kind. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely love to stay here again if we visit La Jolla again in the future!

Historic Filthy Cottage with Dog Feces and Unresponsive Owner

The home was filthy on arrival. The spa tenants in front allow their dogs to defecate and urinate right where you step into the jacuzzi and their dogs are allowed to roam your yard. They will bark at you as an intruder. Property manager was called and unresponsive to all issues. Owner is obviously relying on five star location so doesn’t think they have to do anything further to maintain this historically recognized property, which looks and feels like a 100 year old property. Outdoor weeds were growing through the windows inside the home. Garden was not maintained. The kitchen was not properly stocked - mismatched dishes and hardly any were intact. Stair railing was sticky and bed sheets stained from previous guest and lack of cleaning. Sand everywhere. We asked for cleaning fee reimbursement and Owner was unresponsive. Will now have to file formal complaint with VRBO and credit card. Home is nowhere near a VRBO standard. We own two VRBO homes and would never let our properties fall this far from grace. Renter beware.

Ok but a bit dated

We enjoyed our stay in this historic old cottage. It was well placed for the centre & for the beach As it was old, it did feel like it needed a bit of a brighten up with windows & doors looking a bit shabby. The photos are a bit misleading as the furniture is darker wood in reality . It was lovely to sit in the sunny window & on the decking in the evening & the hot tub was nice too. Although we enjoyed our stay I wouldn’t return as it was quite expensive for the facilities & felt like we were in someone’s garden as it was behind businesses with no divide. I am sure a lot of people will love the quaintness & history but I think we could do better for the price. No real complaints but not quite what we expected

Great ocean view

The property is shabby chic, but in a good way, with an updated kitchen and baths with strong showers and plenty of hot water. It is a short walk to the Childrens Beach as well as many others. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance too, so we did not need to move our car, which was parked for free in a nearby covered lot (covered by rental). The managers were responsive and helpful when needed.

Wonderful Location

This is a cute house in a great location. There are many good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The outside patio with the fireplace and hot tub was great to have. Unfortunately, the home was not clean in some areas such as the windows (the view could have been so much better if the windows were clean) and the downstairs bedroom floor (extremely dirty). The outdoor lights were not working and the outdoor furniture cushions really need replacing. For the price the house could use a deep clean and repairs as needed.

Great location!

We stayed here with my parents and our toddler for a wedding nearby. The property was perfect for our visit- needing to be in town and walkable. It was exceptionally great for our toddler and having the private yard for her to play in and a great playground at the community center which was very close! We enjoyed sitting on the patio, hot tub and being able to easily walk down to Childrens Pool to see the seals an incredible views. The hosts were great in being communicative in ensuring we'd have a pack and play and high chair. Also very nice to have a dedicated parking spot. Highly recommend!

Break from the snow

This cottage was perfect for my husband and I. The location is perfect. The window facing the ocean gave us hours of entertainment. I highly recommend the place!
