Ein-Zimmer-Wohnung in einem historischen 1924 zu Hause in den wunderschöne Berkeley Hügel. Diese Wohnung ist neu renoviert und verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche, komplett mit Granit, Mikrowelle, Herd, Kühlschrank und Geschirrspüler ausgestattet. Das Schlafzimmer ist mit Blick auf die Bucht, mit einem Doppelbett und eingebautem Kommode und Kleiderschrank. Das Wohn- / Esszimmer hat einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Bucht, eine große Terrasse, TV und Gas-Kamin. Inklusive Waschmaschine / Trockner. Ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer bietet Platz für zusätzliche Gäste. Es ist auch möglich, für gelegentliche Besucher öffnen ein zusätzliches Schlafzimmer. Kabel, WiFi und alle Nebenkosten enthalten. Ein Badezimmer ist neben der Küche und für die ausschließliche Verwendung der Gäste. Das zweite Badezimmer ist bequem von der Wohnung erreichbar und wird gelegentlich von den Eigentümern genutzt, da es neben dem Waschraum ist.

Die Wohnung ist 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu Berkeleys Gourmet Ghetto (die Heimat von Chez Panisse, die Käseplatte und hervorragende Einkaufsmöglichkeiten), 5 Blocks von der University of California und dem Theologischen Seminar und 25 Minuten zu Fuß von der Innenstadt Berkeley. 2 Blocks vom Bus in die Innenstadt BART. Weitere Annehmlichkeiten sind ein schöner Garten, einfach auf der Straße parken und den Zugang zu einem benachbarten 2. Schlafzimmer nach Bedarf.

Contemplative Stay in the Berkeley Hills

Quiet, welcoming apartment with lots of privacy. Well appointed kitchen, nice bathroom, bedroom, sitting room AND a private covered deck. The view during the day and at night were exquisite. Very friendly owners who have thought of everything to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable!

Weekend stay at Berkeley

We were visiting Berkeley to meet our son. The apartment was great for two of us with lovely views of the bay. It had all the facilities we needed. It is about half an hour walk to downtown which we enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped. Our stay was very comfortable.

Great Location, Beautiful Apartment

Everything was great! I met the host and her dog on the first night, and they were both really nice : ) I live in Berkeley, and I booked this place for a few days while the floors in my home were being refinished. The location is excellent; it's situated in the Berkeley Hills, but not too far up, so you'll be close to the university, downtown, Chez Panisse, and more, all while enjoying beautiful views of San Francisco.

A fantastic find!

The apartment was great, in a very convenient location with excellent parking, near great restaurants with beautiful parks in walking distance. This is one of the most beautiful settings one could imagine. Easy access to the Greek Theater, UCB, restaurant ghetto, and best of all, Tilden Park. That blew me away most. I just couldn’t pull myself away from the view.

Easy location

Easy location for walking to UC Berkeley Campus and SFO access via Bart. $3 per day to park at North Berkeley Station and transit into the city. A loaded Clipper Pass gives access to all the city busses as well. Relaxing deck and garden after a day of sightseeing and other adventures.

A fantastic view

This property worked well for my wife and I as we came out to visit our daughter. First time in the area and your mountaineering driving experience is put to the test. Berkeley Hills has some nice homes and this is one of them. We really enjoyed the back deck and its view. We loved the gardens and being surrounded by trees. The home offered all we needed as we were out and about for the day. We experienced unseasonably warm temperatures and the only downside was that it was quite hot inside without air conditioning. First world problems that we could live with! Make sure to visit the Rose Park and walk the gardens that are on this property. Can’t go wrong with this property.

Susie’s Cozy Hideaway in the Hills

Susie was a wonderful host! She responded very quickly and was very accommodating to our needs. The place was absolutely clean and stylish with stunning views of the bay and San Francisco from the Living Room and from the outdoor deck in the trees. Parking was provided and on site washer and dryer was incredibly convenient. I definitely recommend the place if you’re looking for some thing with character, amazing walking, and peace and quiet free of city noises.

Great Stay at a Beautiful Historical House on a Hill

My brother and I had a great time at Susie's unit. The location is perfect for going out to eat, and the neighborhood is really quint. It's close to Berkeley campus, so a great options for dropping kids off at school. The patio is perfect for having morning coffee and evening take-out! Will definitely miss the beautiful view!!! Susie also made sure we had everything needed for the stay, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay for the beginning of school year.

Great location, views and helpful hosts

Close to campus, served our purpose of staying close to Berkeley campus for our son's summer workshop. In addition to that we enjoyed the great views of bay and San Francisco from balcony as well as from inside. Hosts are very helpful and understanding. They gave us lot of info about the area and picked up groceries for us several times. The only small problem is the bathroom sink is too small and old, the bathroom floor is old and no exhaust fan. Overall it is a very good and pleasant stay.

We have lived in Berkeley for twenty four years. Greg works for a social service agency in San Francisco and Susie works in the arts in Berkeley. Greg's mom recently moved out here to live with us and our son and college friend live with us in the house as well. So while the rental unit is very private, it is surrounded by a very friendly, three generation family. There is always someone around who can provide advice about things to see and do, directions to destinations, or thoughts about favorite restaurants and theaters.

We love this part of Berkeley. It is close to coffee shops, great food and all the amenities of the City. San Francisco, wine country, the Sierras and the Coast are all within easy reach. We are near all the cultural amenities that make the Bay Area such a treat and yet the house is a quiet, retreat with its own garden, redwood grove and magnificent views of Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, Cal Berkeley and San Francisco.

The apartment is located in one of the most distinguished historic districts in Berkeley. The house, designed by UC Architect Warren Charles Perry, was built for Prof. Edward Tolman in 1924. It is surrounded by homes designed by revered California architect, Bernard Maybeck, and within minutes of the many walkways and paths that make strolling through the Berkeley hills so special. A twenty minute walk uphill will land you in Tilden Regional Park while a ten minute walk downhill will take you to the Berkeley Rose Garden. Another five minutes down and you are in the heart of one of Berkeley's shopping districts with excellent carry-out food as well as world renowned restaurants.
