Additional rules
1. Maximum occupancy at the cottage is 6 guests, which is strictly enforced. Violation of this rule will result in immediate eviction.
2. Please flush only human waste and small amounts of toilet paper down the toilets. Do not flush down the "flushable" wipes - they are not actually flushable! Blocked septic is not a fun thing to deal with! NO BABY WIPE DOWN THE TOILET EVER! We do check the septic system between guests to ensure there is no unwanted foreign stuff flushed. Septics can fail if they are not taken care of. A failed septic can cost thousands of dollars. Just human waste and toilet paper in the toilets, please.
2. Smoking or vaping of any substance is only allowed outside of the cottage, away from open windows or doors. Please clean up your butts. (cigarette butts!)
3. Be cautious when having a campfire. We will provide guidelines and info after you book. Don't make a fire if it's blowing 50 K outside, please!! Also, make sure there is no fire ban in effect in the region.
4. No outdoor shoes worn indoors, please.
5. Quiet hours 10 pm to 8 am. Noise carries incredibly well on the lake. Please be respectful of our neighbors. There is a local bylaw that prohibits the use of outdoor speakers. Keep your music low, please!
Cleaning
a. The kitchen must be clean, fridge and cupboards emptied of food and dishwasher filled of clean dishes.
b. All garbage must be collected from all the garbage cans and brought to the landfill site. Garbage can NEVER be left outside, or Smokey the Bear will be feasting on it at the picnic table! Seriously - no garbage can be left outside ever.
c. We do expect guests to leave the cottage tidy.
7. Please do not park in any grassy areas, only in the driveway. The grassy areas are the septic system, and your vehicle will damage the septic.
Pets - No Pets Allowed.
